She didn't know the guy that just walked into her apartment, or why he was staring at her weirdly, but then she remembered something about her roommate mentioning her brother coming to visit and that she wasn't wearing any pants.
"Who the hell are you?" Hayley asked with wide eyes and lifted eyebrows, if his answer didn't convince her she was more than ready to run and grab the bat Rebekah kept in the closet.
The blue-eyed stranger froze for a second before a smirk crept up in his face "Niklaus Mikaelson, call me Klaus. All my friends do." he said with an obvious accent placing his hands behind his back in what she interpreted as a polite gesture.
"Bekah's brother…right." she mumbled awkwardly, glad it wasn't an intruder, thief or murderer…at least she hoped so. "Weren't you supposed to arrive Wednesday or something like that?" she added as an afterthought.
"It is Wednesday, darling." he answered, taking a step closer and she fought hard to not roll her eyes at him "Wednesday afternoon, not Wednesday 3am." she clarified, with slight head tilt.
"I had decided to surprise her getting here a day earlier, but you see…my plane got a delay." he explained as she nodded absently, her attention turning to the bottle of wine in her hands.
"Well, obviously she's not here, so you can either have her bed or you can join me." Hayley said lifting up the bottle with a small smile and he stared at her with interest. "I could use some alcohol, but you might want to put something on." he said as his eyes darted down to her legs.
She looked down too and remembered she had been in her panties and a shirt for the entire conversation "Right…" she muttered blushing, he couldn't have remembered her earlier, could he?
Leaving the wine in the coffee table she walked to her room and got the first pair of shorts she saw on, silently cursing herself for not having remembered and him for not pointing out the first chance he got.
"Everything's fine now! Perhaps you can tell me some embarrassing stories from Rebekah's childhood, it's always nice to have something to use against her." Hayley said chuckling as she walked over to the kitchen to get the glasses while he opened the bottle.
They both sat in the sofa, closer than necessary and talked and drank til both of them were feeling a bit more than tipsy. "Enough of my sister for one night, specially considering I'll have plenty of her company for the next two weeks." Klaus said as his laughter died down.
"You're right, we should go to sleep. I bet tomorrow we're gonna have a hell of an hangover." Hayley said, but right when she was going to stand up Klaus took her hand, stopping her.
"Or…we could stay a little longer." Klaus said with a glint of lust in his eyes that she quickly mirrored "Hmm…I don't know." she teased, getting closer "What would you little sister say?" she enjoyed teasing him way too much.
"If she found out." he continued her sentence, as she licked her lips in anticipation. As he leaned in, closer and closer, she closed her eyes feeling his cold lips upon her and she kissed him back immediately.
The slow kiss they shared at first quickly turned into a passionate one as his tongue entered her mouth and a battle for dominance began, his hands that had been awfully quiet moved to her hips to pull her closer to him as her hands traveled from his shoulders to his hair.
"Bedroom." he whispered once they broke apart "Couch." she whispered, her lips moved to his neck as she gently pushed him into his back, placing her legs around his waist "Couch it is." he obliged, as his hand caressed her under her shirt.
The next morning both wake up barely covered by a blanket to the sound of someone opening the door "Quick! Hide behind the sofa!" Hayley exclaimed, already trying to climb herself.
Much to her dismay and confusion the first thing Rebekah saw when she walked in was her brother and her best friend not covered by other thing than a thin blanket attempting -and failing- to get behind the sofa without even touching the floor.
"So, did you both enjoy yourselves last night?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
