I KNOW IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I HAVE UPDATED! SORRY! BUT THIS IS THE THIRD CHAPTER. AGAIN THESE CHARACTERS BELONG TO PEACH-PIT, NOT ME! (this chapter is really short…but the next two will be as long as the first two!)
All of the new students in Seiyo High School were directed to go to this spare room to pick up their new schedules before heading into the auditorium where they were met with teachers and representatives on the stage. There were literally hundreds of the new students in the school; it was surprising that everyone was able to fit and that there were hundreds of more spaces left in the room.
"Ahem," the principal said while observing the students as they were quieting down as soon as they heard his voice. He smiled, "I would like to personally welcome all of you to Seiyo High Academy. I am your principal Mr. Nishimura, and with my brilliant educators and wonderful student leaders of the school you will get to experience the full education you should when entering high school." He went on and on about several rules and regulations and where the school was founded and why.
"This is so boring…" Rima mumbled trying to keep herself awake. Beside her Nagihiko nudged her to keep her awake, "It's only the first day Rima-chan. I wonder how you'll survive when being lectured by the teachers."
"Lectures?" Amu quickly snapped awake from her little nap she was having.
"Amu-chan…" Tadase sweat dropped.
"All the best teachers in Japan teach at this school," Nagihiko said to the both of them, "you two really need to pay attention, I'm not always going to help you whether I'm in your classes or not." Immediately both Rima and Amu had the same idea and together snatched Nagihiko's bag to try and find his schedule. He rolled his eyes and took it out from his pocket, "If I'm not mistaken I have Japanese with the both of you, Home Economics and Arts with all of you, Physical Education and History with Tadase, Mathematics with Amu, and English and Science with Rima."
Rima snagged the schedule away from his fingertips before opening her own schedule and her eyes widened at the sight she saw. He was right. He had five classes with her. She smirked before giving it back to him and dropping his bag back on the ground.
"Okay."
Amu looked at her stunned before grabbing the schedule next, "wow Nagihiko…"
Nagihiko only smiled, "I got a good look at your schedules earlier when you and Rima were comparing and I looked at Tadase's when gave it back to him after he dropped it on the way in here." Tadase sweat dropped at that comment.
"I hope all of you will join clubs this year," a young woman stood behind the pedestal, "we have several clubs ranging from photography to a cosplay club. Most importantly we have our sports teams this year which will be presented by our last year's rookie Kukai Souma."
"Kukai?" all four of them started to pay attention.
"Yo!" the brown haired, emerald eyed jock they all knew stood up on stage in the school uniform. Nagihiko smiled gently remembering that he didn't see Kukai at all this break but knew too much because of Rima of what has been going on between him and a certain blonde pop star.
"I was in your shoes last year, with a passion for sports and have now been recognized by the student body claiming the title of All Star Rookie. There are several sport opportunities here in Seiyo Academy and I encourage all of you to participate because it is a blast especially if you are a sports fanatic like me. I'll have you know that for you freshman being on the varsity team is not too likely, but if you have the skill and the experience you are able to try out." Kukai scanned the room before noting his younger friends in the audience. Nagihiko smirked at that crossing his arms across his chest.
"That goes for you Fujisaki Nagihiko because I know how much basketball means to you." Kukai chuckled gently noting his friend in the audience. Nagihiko seemed surprised but laughed gently. Tadase smiled, "Well, now you'll be recognized Nagihiko-kun."
Nagihiko shrugged, "who knows? Other than the basketball team I plan on joining soccer along with Kukai. I promised him that I would at least try out for it."
"You promised him…?" Rima looked at him.
"Mm," he nodded.
"…and of course we have our annual class vs. class Sports week when we come back from our summer break so hopefully all of you will enjoy that!" Kukai finished his speech and sat back down with some other representatives.
The orientation went on for another hour before they were finally set free.
"FUJISAKI!" Kukai ran up to the four of them. Nagihiko laughed gently, "KUKAI!" they gave each other a solid pound hug. Nagihiko laughed, "Thanks for the shout out, now everyone will know that I'm the one to watch out for on the court." He smirked.
"Yeah, yeah. I saw you smirking." Kukai laughed, "How was London?"
"It was great, how was getting the backstage pass?" Nagihiko smirked. Kukai blinked not knowing to what he was referring to before quickly getting red, "H-How did you know about that?"
Nagihiko snorted, "I have my ways Kukai."
Kukai just rolled his eyes suspecting the petite blonde as she shifted.
"Anyways, all of you should explore the school. It's bigger than the middle school and is seriously way more exciting. The hallways have so many murals and award winners—it's just great." He smiled, "it's nice to have all of you here."
"Geez Kukai it was just one year," Amu smiled gently.
"And how's my little sister?!" he hugged her tightly. She laughed, "I'm good."
"Ikuto's treating you okay?" he just had to make sure. Kukai and Amu had a weird sibling bond that grew throughout the years particularly in junior high when he literally referred to her as his sister to everyone and forgot to tell everyone that it wasn't true. That caused a lot of chaos. She hoped it wouldn't happen here.
"Of course he is!" she hit him playfully.
"So you and Ikuto-nii-san are together?" Tadase blinked. The four of him looked at him and sweat dropped.
"I was in London when they got together Tadase and you were here in Japan. I only found out yesterday as well…" Nagihiko said to him, "you aren't normally this oblivious." Tadase just shrugged.
"I just didn't notice. He acts like he always does around her."
Rima snorted, "That's how it works…that's how it always has."
"Speaking of work, I might as well show you guys around the school…" Kukai changed the topic seeing as his strawberry of a sister was turning a shade close to her hair colour.
"How is that work?" Rima asked him.
"I'm being your tour guide, why else?"
"Nagihiko probably already memorized the map around this place…" she mumbled.
"Actually Rima-chan, I've only memorized the West Wing of the school, I'm memorizing the East Wing tonight and I haven't even taken a look at the South wing yet." Nagihiko rambled on. She face palmed, "I was being sarcastic…you usually understand my sarcasm Nagihiko."
"I was being sarcastic as well Rima-chan," he smirked, "of course I memorized it all."
She punched him lightly, "Idiot." Amu, Tadase and Kukai all sweat dropped.
Nagihiko only laughed, "Saving your strength for another time?"
She smirked, "You bet."
Amu, Kukai and Tadase all looked at each other in the exact same way thinking the exact same thing: some things will just never change between those two. It was before they all smirked, but we will make sure things progress. And with that they now had something to do throughout the entire year.
I know this was sort of a random filler chapter BUT the next chapter focuses more on NAGIHIKO and his feelings on a certain BLONDE CHIBI! Remember to REVIEW!
