FOURTH CHAPTER! AS I SAID THIS ONE IS A LOT MORE FOCUSED ON NAGIHIKO! THESE CHARACTERS DO NOT BELONG TO ME, THEY BELONG TO PEACH-PIT! ENJOY!

He groaned as his damned alarm woke him up that morning. He forgot how blaringly loud it was. He normally didn't use it as his body clock was always set to wake up at 6 o'clock because of his dance practices but today he wanted to wake up an hour early, why? The rhythm in him wanted to work out first thing in the morning.

He kicked off his bed sheets and drew the curtains back expecting the dark blue sky. He smiled pressing his palm to the cold window before turning back to the rest of his room and retrieving his towel, his IPod and he slipped on a white tank top and changed into some black sport shorts. He threw on some runners and slid the door way closed behind him before going down the multiple staircases and corridors to the basement.

He continued to smirk seeing the room as the only reason why it was there was because he had somehow convinced his mother that he should have that room all to himself because he was a "growing young man and needed to perform properly in his sports events ergo needing to work out in his spare time". Oh how he loved his manipulation tactics, and of course he learned that from her.

It was a Fujisaki thing.

Placing his IPod in the port his music blasted through the whole room. He smiled gently before first stretching himself out knowing that he was tense because today was technically the first day of school after all. He snorted at the memory of yesterday and wondered what today would bring as he started on the tread mill.

He wrapped his dark purple towel around his waist as he came out of his private bathroom. He turned to his bed to realize his maid had already made it and his uniform lay there ironed out from yesterday. He rolled his eyes knowing that this was his mother's doing. He could do things on his own but of course she felt the need to support him since he was her only child. Mothers, his mother in particular, were so odd, he thought.

"NAGIHIKO!" his mother called him as he slipped on his black pants.

"Yes mom?" he called back to her sliding his door open a bit.

"DID YOU WORK OUT THIS MORNING?!"

"Yes…" he blinked slipping on the shirt, "Why?"

"COME DOWN STAIRS AND EAT YOUR BREAKFAST!"

He flinched at the sound of that before putting on his socks and ran downstairs to find his mother fuming. He took in a deep breath, "Mother, why are you so angry?" he smiled turning on the charm. He saw his mother's anger fade slightly, "If you work out tomorrow morning, do not turn the music up so loud. I thought some of the servants were having a party."

He sweat dropped before going to the kitchen to eat his breakfast.

His cell phone rang a short tune. He blinked taking it from his pocket and held it up to his ear. He smiled seeing the name beforehand, "Good morning Rima-chan."

"What time do we have to be at your place?" She asked him. She was straight to the point. He rolled his eyes, "Not even a 'good morning' back?" he asked with a slight chuckle. He heard nothing for a little bit before she responded.

"Good morning purple head, now tell me what time we have to be there or else you'll start complaining about Amu and I not being there and the right time." She said making him laugh and then looked at the clock on his bedside table.

"Well, it takes us about 15 minutes to get there from my place, and school starts at 8:30. Be here at 8:10."

"That's five extra minutes…what do you need that time for?" She asked him. He smirked, "I see someone is better at math this year…" He heard her growl in response to that. He laughed.

To his surprise, she laughed in response. That was probably one of the moments that he would cherish today. Her voice when she laughed. It was a cliché, but being a man of many clichés, her laugh was music to his ears. It suited her well, and far her more than her usually glare although those fit her perfectly as well. When she laughed she was happy and that is all he wanted her to be: happy.

"You seemed different with the prince yesterday, did something happen?" Rima asked him.

"Since when are you so observant on the interactions of others Rima-chan?" he snorted.

"Shut up! It was just a little strange because you are normally bffs."

He smiled, "We're still friends Rima-chan, but I've grown closer to Kukai and Ikuto. Tadase doesn't really understand the way Kukai, Ikuto and I actually understand each other. His friendship with me is on a different level I guess, I don't know."

"Wow, for once the oh-so genius purple headed know it all doesn't know. Watch out everyone, the apocalypse is going to start." Rima joked.

Nagihiko laughed, "His old character change is the only thing I've begun to question. Since Kiseki re-entered his heart, I'm a little concerned about how much that will change his usual character. Imagine if he still gets affected when girls call him prince."

Again Rima laughed before she stopped, "GOD DAMNIT! I NEED TO RUSH TO GET READY NOW BECAUSE OF YOU! AMU IS GOING TO KILL ME!" That was the last thing he heard before the line went out. Nagihiko snorted and placed his phone back in his pocket. He then looked up at his mother to find her smiling.

"Who was that?"

"Rima-chan," Nagihiko answered plainly shrugging it off. He noticed his mother getting a glint in her eye. He gulped. This probably wasn't a good sign because for as long as he knew his mother it probably meant something bad.

"Rima-chan?" his mother repeated, "the petite blonde girl with curls?"

"Yes," Nagihiko smiled trying to keep his cool, "she and Amu-chan are meeting me in a bit to go to school together. She was just asking me the time we should meet." He wasn't completely lying to his mom, and that was Rima's first purpose in calling him in the first place.

"I see," his mother walked toward him, "although it seemed to be more than that, hmm Nagihiko-kun?" she asked him. He blinked and damned himself for having a tint of pink across his cheek.

"Rima-chan and I are friends, mother."

"Which is why I recall you giving her a locket for White Day along with marshmallows and white chocolate and also writing her a nice poem—?"

His blush only deepened before he cut his mother off, "I need to go. Bye mom!" he said to her quickly before finishing his breakfast and racing upstairs to grab his jacket, his bag and raced back downstairs to retrieve his bento and slipped on his shoes. He ran to the gate outside and opened his bag to put in his lunch. He let out a breath: that was close.

The last thing he needed was his mom knowing anything about his personal life.

Standing on the sidewalk he turned to the left to find both the blonde and the rosette. He smiled as they approached before checking his watch and smirking, "You two are on time."

"Barely," Amu rolled her eyes, "someone wasn't ready on time."

"You arrived later as well Amu, two minutes later. In that time we would've been at least a quarter of the way to Nagihiko's house." Rima said back to her bluntly.

Nagihiko snorted, "Ok Rima-chan. How late did you wake up Amu-chan?" She shrugged, "approximately an hour later than usual." Nagihiko looked at her, "You need to get into the habit of waking up earlier or Rima-chan and I will have to leave you behind and you might have to be personally escorted by a certain boyfriend of yours who would love to walk you to school every single morning."

Amu looked at him wide-eyed, "Ok."

"…when did you become an immoral genius?" Rima asked him.

"Ever since I met you." He smirked. She kicked him in the shin.

He winced before smiling gently, "I definitely missed that."

Once they got to school both the three joined the others in switching their outdoor shoes for the school shoes before Nagihiko and Rima split off from Amu as she had Science first period, and they had English. They went through the corridors to the second floor to their homeroom class which had at least 20 students in there already.

Rima blinked, "this is bigger than junior high."

"What do you expect Rima-chan? There are students from all over Tokyo here." Nagihiko said to her, "only half of our grade came here remember? This high school has several feeder schools that contribute more than Seiyo does." He said to her as they walked through the people.

"…I really do wonder if you read statistics every day Nagihiko."

He turned and winked at her, "you know it Rima-chan."

He sat down at an empty chair. She lazily took the seat behind him. He looked at her, "So you want to sit behind me this year?" She rolled her eyes, "Shut up. Besides, you're the only person I know here."

"That's not true there's—"

"Ohayo Fujisaki-kun, Mashiro-chan," a red haired boy stood in front of them.

"Kurishima-kun," Nagihiko smiled getting up, "Ohayo."

Rima just blinked, "Ohayo." She said plainly.

Nagihiko smirked, "don't mind Rima-chan, she never enjoys the first day of school." Rima glared at him kicking his shin again. He winced, "That's how you can tell as well."

Kurishima just blinked, "Oh, I see. Well, I was wondering if you were trying out for varsity this year since Souma-sempai mentioned it at yesterday's orientation."

Nagihiko laughed, "Yes, I am. Are you?"

"Nah, I'll try out next year. I'm not as good as you are. Anyway, I'm glad I at least know you two although some of the others aren't that bad. I've gotten to know a few since I got here earlier. Apparently some know you Fujisaki-kun, they said you met them at a—"

"Nagi!" two voiced called at Nagihiko. Rima briefly looked at them from her view in the window. One was just as tall as Nagihiko with orange shaggy hair that covered his blue eyes. The other one was a little shorter with jet black hair was cut straight across and grey eyes. Rima turned back to the window as the three of them started talking and she noticed Kurishima went off somewhere.

"Tai! Kyou!" she heard him call them, "why didn't you tell me that you two were coming over here?" She heard them both laugh before starting over again. "So how was London?"

"It was great. It would've been awesome if you guys were there though because let me tell you about the school I went to. It was an amazing academy! Next chance I get I will invite you two and the rest of my friends to go." Rima rolled her eyes but smiled at that last comment he made.

"Speaking of friends Nagi," one of the two stated, "is that you're girlfriend?"

Rima had an odd feeling this question was directed toward her so she turned around and looked at the three of them to find Nagihiko flushed in pink. She looked at him before looking at his two friends. She stood up and walked toward them. She watched Nagihiko gulp and she smirked beneath her breath before smiling charmingly.

"Hi, I'm Mashiro Rima and no Nagihiko and I are just childhood friends."

"Y-yeah, Rima-chan this is Yamamato Taiko and Fujimoto Kyou. They were in my hip hop dance class."

"So you're Rima-chan?" Taiko asked. Rima tried not to break her charm but it was difficult when asked questions liked that. She turned to Nagihiko, "Nagihiko, would you care to explain?"

"Of course I had to mention you a couple of times Rima-chan, especially with treating you to parfaits every week—too many funny instances came up at the café." He smiled at the memories.

She snorted regretfully but continued on, "that is true."

"…wait, wait, wait that you never told us every week. You two might as well be dating." Kyou said back to the both of them. Nagihiko shrugged.

She looked at Kyou, "like I said, Nagihiko and I are just really good friends. Besides, we went with some friends half the time so it wasn't always him and I alone."

"That's right." Nagihiko smiled gently, "anyway, what about you two? Are you two dating?"

"No," Taiko said, "we hope to find some girls soon though."

"I will never understand you boys. Is it the rush of being in high school that you feel the need to have a girlfriend? If it is, you'll never find one that way. Hasn't Nagihiko taught you anything with that feminist mother of his?" She said to the both of them.

Nagihiko laughed, "Yes, my mother the feminist, must you tell the whole world Rima-chan."

"I hate the way you present sarcasm, it's too subtle." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"That was sarcasm?" Taiko asked them. Nagihiko nodded, "quite so."

"Ahem." A sudden voice spoke from the front right corner of the classroom and immediately everyone filled in the seats where they had placed there things. Taiko and Kyou ended up being on one end of the classroom while Nagihiko and Rima were on the other. The teacher was male was grey slicked back hair, sharp framed glasses and wrote on the board "Mister Nomura". He turned to face the class. "Good morning, everyone."

"Good morning." They replied in English.

"I am Mister Nomura, your homeroom teacher." He replied barely with any sense of a Japanese accent. He continued going on and on about the subject and what they would be doing in English this year including doing a novel study, meaning that they would all read the same book and analyse it as a class. Rima heard Nagihiko let out a bored sigh and twirl a piece of his hair in his fingers.

"What's wrong with you?" she whispered to him in plain English.

He slightly looked back at her but instead leaned back in his chair to talk with her that way. "I know how to speak English fluently and have been ever since I was nine, this is elementary work to me." he mumbled back to her, "besides that, we aren't learning Shakespeare which I was looking forward to."

She rolled her eyes, "well you won't be bored with having me sit behind you, will you?"

"You're right about that." he smirked.

"I was being sarcastic."

"And I wasn't." he said sitting back up again. She rolled her eyes and turned back to the window.

They were assigned to write a two page worth of words on who they were, and it was due next class which was in two days. Rima poked Nagihiko in the back as she watched him begin to write immediately.

"What is it Rima-chan?" he asked her twiddling the pencil in his fingers.

She looked at him, "You told them about me…and you barely told me about them." she said recalling what Taiko said to her.

Nagihiko looked at her and turned sideways in his chair to look at her and smiled gently, "I know I probably should have mentioned them, and I know I probably shouldn't have mentioned you but they wanted to know about my life away from dance class." His eye was snatched at the teacher for a second before going back to hers. "Remember that time when you and Amu-chan called because you wanted to go to the mall and needed me to be your fashion advisor?"

"Yes," Rima answered bluntly.

"I was leaving dance class and they heard me speaking to the both of you and wanted to know more about who you both were. They asked about everyone in our group Rima. You weren't singled out." He said to her. For some reason her heart sunk at that. Regardless, she nodded and looked down at her blank piece of paper.

Nagihiko lingered to look at her before turning back around.
