UPDATE! SIXTH CHAPTER! This one is a little shorter than I would want it to be, but I really didn't know how or what to really add to it…so I am posting it the way it is. I thought the third chapter would be the shortest, but this is definitely shorter. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! THESE CHARACTERS DO NOT BELONG TO ME, THEY BELONG TO PEACH-PIT! (except for the OCs…)

They are definitely in love with each other, was all the rosette could think as she was walking behind her two best friends as they continued to argue over something that she didn't know about, and simply didn't bother wanting to know about. Half their arguments were just for fun as she noticed over the years.

"Yo, Nagi!" some voices called over which snapped Amu out of her thoughts.

She watched Nagihiko and Rima stop their blue-lightning-glare and turned their attention between two teenage boys Amu has never seen before. Nagihiko seemed to know them as he gladly went over to greet them, Rima tagged along for a reason Amu was confused on.

"So you walk to school together as well," the black haired one smirked.

Amu blinked awed by how he hinted that. Did he think Nagihiko and Rima should go out? Wait, how did he know Rima and Nagihiko for that matter?

"Tai, I only walk with Rima and Amu so the both of them won't be late for school." Nagihiko said in his matter of fact tone.

Amu sweat dropped, "Nagi that's really inconsiderate…you know Ami keeps me up because she won't stop practicing her singing and it's terrible." She groaned just thinking about the night before, how Ami constantly went over this one part in some song—she couldn't remember as it was now traumatizing.

"Oh, Amu you decided to catch up," Rima said plainly noticing her.

"I didn't want to get caught in the middle of your stupid petty argument that's why."

Nagihiko snorted gently as she turned away, "Amu-chan this is Yamamato Taiko and Fujimoto Kyou. They're in Rima-chan and my homeroom class." (AN: remember these two from chapter four?)

So that's how they know each other. Amu just smiled gently and nodded, "So you two know Nagi well?"

"We had dance class together," Taiko said to her as they all continued to walk to school.

"Wait," Kyou said, "don't tell me this one is your girlfriend, Nagi?" Amu realized that he was referring to her. In that instant her face grew red and her eyes got wide.

"WHAT?!" She stammered back, "NO! NAGIHIKO IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"

Everyone around them stared at her for a brief moment before going back to what they were doing. Amu sulked back, hating the attention when she didn't mean for it to happen.

"I'm sure that the entire school population appreciated that comment," Rima said through chuckling. Amu frowned. Of course, leave it to Rima to make a snide comment, but she let it go because that was her personality.

"Amu-chan and I have been friends for a long time, besides she already has a boyfriend." Nagihiko shrugged it off as it was just normal to reveal his best friend's private life to random people she didn't quite know yet. She blushed looking down at the ground.

"Really?" Taiko said with a smirk, "Well a lucky guy he must be."

Can they shut up already?! She thought to herself. Two major embarrassing things have just happened in a matter of five minutes meeting Nagihiko's friends.

"Now, now we should stop pestering Amu-chan before even her hair turns red." Nagihiko joked.

"I swear both you and Rima are exactly the same…" She mumbled under her breath.

Nagihiko only shrugged before Rima glared at her.

"No we aren't." the petite blonde gritted her teeth.

"Now, now Rima-chan don't deny things that are just as true as your hair is blonde." He smirked. She kicked his shin again in response to the witty comment.

Nagihiko winced limping a bit before smiling, "Do you work out? I swear that kick is getting stronger every day."

The three outsiders just watched the two. She gave him her darkest death glare and went extremely close to him, too annoyed to notice the tint of pink on his cheeks.

"What the hell is up with your flirting recently?! Because if you haven't noticed I am not flattered AT ALL! You can go take your disgusting comments and force them down OUR STUPID ENGLISH TEACHER'S THROAT, YOU TEACHER'S PET!" she stomped off through the school gates.

The three of them blinked stunned at what she had just said. They watched Nagihiko's face change from disbelief to…a humorous demeanor? He was laughing after what she had just said to him. Amu, Taiko and Kyou had to make sure he was ok.

"Dude, she just yelled in your face…"

"Yes, and?" Nagihiko asked in between bursts of laughter.

"Aren't you upset?" Kyou continued

"No," he smiled, "it's the way Rima is. Besides," he started laughing again, "I wonder how long it took for her to come up with that insult. Classic." He laughed again.

"Nagi, are you really ok?" Amu asked her friend. Nagihiko looked at her questionably.

"Of course. Amu-chan you know as much as I do that my friendship with Rima has been a tough one. We've gotten this far." He adjusted himself, pushing up his satchel that hung almost off of his shoulder, "I'm used to her rollercoaster mood swings. I sort of want her to get mad anyway, we have Home Ec. first thing today, and you know how competitive we get."

Amu rolled her eyes but let out a breath. At least he is accepting of her personality.

Little did she know about the under layer of hurt that hid beneath his eyes. He hid them well as he has throughout the years—acting was his forte. Nagihiko motioned the three of them to carry on through the school gates following the petite blonde that, for once, couldn't wait to get to class.

Well that was a little bit of a sad ending… I sort of wanted to focus on Amu's position between both Nagi and Rima because they are her best friends. Of course I had to add the OCs in Rimahiko's class. I honestly have no idea if they will be too significant in this story but…ANYWAY please review!
