Full Title: Pharaoh Atem, the Spirit of the Puzzle's, thoughts on the Guardian known as Shadi Even Though He Doesn't Really Remember
He had been in pieces at the time, quite literally, and hardly remembered a thing. What he did remember was fragmented and scattered, and generally did not actually involve the Guardian. Mainly, they were thoughts. At this time, he drifted in and out of consciousness, barely able to stay awake long enough to actually form coherent thoughts or retain information about what was happening on the outside.
When he met the man, Shadi was his name, or so he had said, he still did not remember. But he seemed familiar somehow. Was this a piece of his past life coming back, or the time he spent locked in the pieces of the puzzle before Yugi had found it and put it together? He would probably never know until he retained the full extent of his memories.
But somehow he remembered a voice, calm and distant, not speaking to him, but not speaking to another either, and somehow, he was not speaking to himself.
Atem would reflect on this later. Maybe the man was simply, like Yugi, speaking to the voices inside his head.
