Sky's POV

Ru seemed to be in more pain then me. She was crying and whispering that I don't want to be alone. They had upped the drugs on us. The hallucination seemed much more real and scary. When was Kazuma getting here?

I curled up and closed my eyes. I hadn't gotten any sleep since the hallucinations started. I didn't want to stay in this place anymore. I was in pain, physically, emotionally and mentally. Then I saw Mother looming over me with a knife. I screamed as she brought it down on me. I held up my hand and she cut a deep gash across my forearm.

It stung like crazy and I screamed. I almost didn't think it was a hallucination anymore. It was too real to be fake. Blood ran down my arm in pools. Usually it would stop after a while but it keep going. I just stared as blood pooled around me.

I couldn't scream anymore. Then things changed. I stopped bleeding. In fact the laceration seemed like it didn't occur. Things around me where different. Mother was gone, no longer out to kill me. Instead I saw Gran.

She smiled at me and opened her arms to me. My eyes widened and I ran into her arms. "Gran!" I yelled, tears running down my face. My beloved Gran was here to take me away from this place.

I cried in her arms as she stroked my hair like she always did. I cried her name softly into her chest. The scent of sunflowers and cookies calmed me. This was my sanctuary. "Skylar." Gran said. I looked at her.

There was a twinge of something in her eyes but I couldn't figure it out. I smiled at her, "what is it Gran?" I asked her.

"Can you die for me Skylar?" she asked. I looked at her confused, my brain was clouded. "What are you talking about Gran?" I asked her.

"Die for me Skylar." She smiled at me. I returned her smile before I felt a shape stab. I coughed up blood before sinking in Gran's arms. I glanced down at my abdomen and saw a knife stabbed through my stomach. I coughed up more blood before collapsing to the ground.

Gran started laughing nearby. Then I finally realized something. "I forgot," I whispered, "Gran's dead. Has been for almost ten years." I laughed a bit before coughing up more blood. The fake Gran came to my side but all I could do was smile at her.

"I still miss you Gran." I whispered before I fell unconscious.

In the dark I could hear a beep beep sound. Must be my heart. I heard it thumping. Was I dying? My heart beat sounded a little slow. I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't. My eyelids were heavy.

I tried to move but I couldn't. My limbs were heavy as well. I couldn't hear anything, or see anything. I couldn't even smell anything. Then suddenly I was in a field. Similar to the one that I had meet Nida of the Portal in.

And when I looked she was there. Sitting in the field smelling the flowers. "You have grown." Nida said not looking at me.

Her armor still shone brightly despite the surrounding being dark. It was almost like she was the sun in the middle of the solar system. I went to her and sat down near her. The field was full of flowers of all kinds. It was colorful and beautiful.

"What are you doing here child?" Nida asked me. I looked at her confused, "I thought you called me here." I told her.

Nida shook her head, "you came of your own accord child." She said.

I looked at my hands, "Nida, do you think you could get us out of here?" I asked her, "Since you can make different portals like the one that brought me, Kaz, Gold, and Matty here."

Nida shook her head again, "The portals and dimensions are too unstable." I was discouraged. Nida put a hand on my head, "Don't discourage though, you have strength beyond that you think you have. Your friends will come and save you and your friend."

"What about her?" I asked her, "She seems to be in more pain than me."

"I cannot do anything for her pain. I cannot ease it, I cannot stop it. She is on her own. But her spirit is strong. Unlike any I have ever seen before. She will fight until her last breathe." Nida said showing me a small portal of Ru.

She was curled up in a ball crying. She kept repeating, don't leave me alone. I'm so lonely. I saw another girl. She looked a lot like Ru but she was all white. She sat by her and was whispering things to her that I couldn't hear.

Ru kept shaking her head and saying no. then at one time she yelled, "Go away, stop trying to take over my body! I'm not letting you hurt anyone else!"

I was confused by her speech but suddenly the girl in white disappeared. I sat shocked. "Was that girl a ghost?" I asked Nida.

She shrugged, "the girl has been plagued by that girl ever since the beginning." Nida said. I stayed grim. Me and Ru had been friends only for maybe a week but we felt close.

We tried to save each other, caring for each other as best we could, encouraging each other. I guess we never got to know more about each other like hobbies, and skills. "Nida what can we do to get out of here?" I asked her.

She looked grim. "I measured the possibilities and there are only three I can think of." Nida answered after a moment of hesitation, "one, you both wait until your friends come and save you, two we let the girl's opposite person to take over and she goes berserk giving you both a chance for escape or the one I never want to happen, is that you both die and they dump your bodies."

I stayed quiet. Nida put a hand on my head, "I will trying in the best of my powers to help your friends try and save you both."

I smiled a bit, "thank you Nida." I gave her a hug. "Anything for you my child." Nida whispered.
