Hello it's me Kazama again, it's been quite some time since I uploaded or gave word for what I was doing. At first I got a new computer, but it's a Mac. Nothing wrong with Mac's, but a PC kid since the 90's. Transitioning between the two has been rough and on top of this I have to use google docs. I am so use to using Microsoft Word with their shortcuts. I tried making this chapter smaller so everyone can everyone can understand what is going on. I did a lot of contemplating on how I want Link's character should evolve instead of being a static character with no voice. Heck his adult voice is also voice by Guy from GaoGaiGar. For you guys that didn't know and I was a little upset that Assassin of Shadow's discontinued his story. Though only rewriting it fill in the missing character content.
To Address everyone pairings in the story will try to develop a little later in the story possibly. But I don't want to ruin it just basing it off potential candidates. Sidetracking myself with miniscule characters would kill the story. I don't want to repeat things that have been done already that almost kills my story. At this point in my story it talks about Link's struggles trying to adapt himself not to this world, but to leading a real life. Heck reversing time, time traveling, dimension traveling has left it's mark on him. Yet he finds out that his destiny was sabotaged a bit by the Goddess Hylia. His parents dying and all the things that happened to him was due to what the Hero and the first Zelda has done.
On another haven't revealed why Link doesn't join Fairy Tail like any other story you see Link in do. It would be best described with the fact friends do not hide secrets from each other. As much as Link tries to be friends with others they have their secrets too often pushing them away. Link is more mature than the current Fairy Tail kids and he is able to take care of himself. The fact his amount of courage discourages Erza in a way to me in a way. Despite having no parents he moves and he can make friends with just talking to people.
The fact that Link doesn't have a real reason in joining Fairy Tail, truth be told I haven't given him a reason not to. Confusing isn't it not to hear such in my author's note. I wanted to give some purpose on why he joined. Now to it's time to review some of things you said about my story.
Reclusive Dork: Yes the double clawshots will make an appearance in the story. They might be double as talons to increase their effectiveness in actual battle situations.
Ultima-Owner: I agree the Gale Boomerang is the best boomerang of all compared to the rest of them.
SteamRail74: True character building may seem tedious, but it's important all the same. Assassin of Shadows is trying to reboot the story due to it's lack of character dialogue and interaction. Mystogan needed real justice to his name unlike what the anime and Manga did to him. He only fought once in the series all together and he was S-rank without magic. That is impressive itself, but it was most likely due to the fact his staves can generate magic faster than a normal castor. I will try to include more about him my story if I can. I will have more talks with Navi in the future with Link. Seeing she helps guide him through difficult life of growing up normally. PLus it's true Hisui pairing could work since Link knows how to deal with royalty. It's true Link is a strategic fighter and comes in with the mentally fights do evolve. He is not a fool to rush into a fight unprepared unlike the Fairy Tail cast.
Jose19: Hades has taken an interest in him due to his nature in having so many lost magics at his disposal and how the fact he can ignore the rules placed on them. Seeing Link's nature, he would try to take advantage of his nature and point into other directions. For instance pointing him towards dark guilds who don't obey them or work in opposition to them. Link joining around when Lucy joins does make sense. Since he knows the guild he and she wants him to join with her since it will be fun. It's true I should have more interaction with Erza in my story. A battle of betweens swords will be great to write too. Doing one at their young age would be child's play to Link, but it may give a reason for Erza to up her game.
Han-ko: I will give an Ultear and Link will meet each other next chapter. That is something I can promise you without doubt.
Libby 8980: Link will what Ruby calls herself a weapon enthusiast. He tries to make them practical in combat who knows maybe I will add one of Monty Oum's RWBY into my story as homage to him. Link will not be a straight medieval fighter or copy Erza like some clone.
Lincoln Time: Magic Staves and Clawshot combinations will be added into the story soon. Link hasn't kicked it up a notch since he is mostly focusing on traveling. He takes notes of the most interesting weapon and enchantments to help boost his combat ability. Having so many weapons will be confusing that I may need to keep a list.
WolfShadow96: Thank you for condolences and thank you I had a great birthday. Thank you for being along the ride and not getting bored of it.
Jmw: Link will ambassador and a lawyer for the fairies and the kingdom itself. The song of healing only works on troubled souls that are the verge of dying. Beastman has to record living things to his body and understand how they work to use Beast Soul properly. I will try to talk more about the guilds he met on a later date. Explaining them all would be hectic and not all the main members of each respective guild will be there. I would have to make a lot OC's.
Okami Princess: Emphasizing Link more a knight eludes to his heritage, which most people miss. First of all his magic level isn't going to become powerful until he is 14 years and up range. He focus more unorthodox fighting rather than rely on magic. It's true compared to Zelda Hisui had more guts to face her enemy unlike Zelda who mostly hid and did subtle things behind the scenes. Seeing the number of stories in your favorites you obviously have read a lot of Erza and Link stories by now. Link and Hisui would make a cute pairing, but I still have cemented a pairing yet, since focusing on one now would ruin the story.
Arcadios teaching her how to fight would be vital to her security if something were to go wrong again in put her in a dangerous situation. A pole arm would be excellent weapon like a naginata or a spear like Kimahri in FFX. A caster magic like wind would be a good start, but it would to have a play on her name mostly. A glaive would be excellent too and mythril armor would make her mobility good too as well. A blade bow would be good for her as well seeing it can provide distance and a close range option.
Well that is enough about reviews… I hope you all enjoy my story in review. Who knows maybe I will put in the answer to them all again.
A Knight among Mages
Chapter 8
Blue eyed beasts dedication
…
It rained heavily across a deep valley as Link stood in the rain wearing his armor called Fenrir. It was dinged up and it had scratched marks across it. The color was faded from the repeated strikes of magic attacks. He saw a giant troll running the flowers with ease. He requipped a blade that had an ornate design to it. It had silver like blade with an arrow tip making the center of it. The handguard itself looked like a collapsed bow that had a blue and gold design to it. The hilt had Hylian symbols ruining all over it. At the end of it had blue ring holes like that he can places his fingers in.
Link pulled back on a mechanism as the sword unfolded into a compound bow. He quickly pulled back the launcher for the arrow and imbued the arrow with light. He quickly shot the arrow at the beast's eye causing to stumble back and scream in pain. He collapsed his blade as he charged towards the beast. The troll regained his senses and looked down at Link angrily with one eye. The troll swung his right fist at Link, though Link quickly dodged the blow. He ran and jumped on it's thigh stabbing it's thigh.
The troll screamed trying to swat Link of his thigh. Link dodged each swipe and waited for a moment to counterattack. He quickly jumped slashing it's chest as he landed on the right shoulder. He quickly stabbed the troll in it's right eye at it screamed in howled in pain. It quickly covered its face as Link held on tightly to its shoulder. He reach back and drove his sword deep into it's neck as the scroll screamed in pain. Link slide off down it's back slicing down it's spinal column. He jumped and rolled away from the beast as it fell to the ground.
A large amount of dust and flowers filled the air as Link turned around. The troll was gurgling on it's on blood as it struggled trying to get up. Link walked towards the beast brandishing his sword to finish it off. He quickly flipped overhead and stabbed downward into the troll's head. He felt the sword penetrate it's skull cleanly as he back flipped off the troll's head.
He flicked the blood off the blade and twirled it cleaning the blood of it. He sent it into his pocket dimension along with armor. He now wore his causal green tunic and brown leather boots.
He heard cheering from a distance as he saw the farmers of the nearby village cheer. He gave off a small smile as he waved towards them. "Another monster hunt complete..." Link breathed a sigh of relief.
He made his way back towards the village as he stretched his arms.
…
The villagers were very surprised to see Link undertake the emergency mission that wasn't posted on the board of the guild yet. They expected that the troll would just shrug him off and destroy their farms for their crops. Only to be surprised that he defeated the troll with ease. He had a whole year to refine his skills killing monsters and taking down human opponents. The villagers wanted to throw him a party, but he politely decline the offer. Though the village chief offered him 70, 000 jewels as a gift for taking down the troll.
His task current task to defeat a demon that attacked a nearby village called Alpen Rose… or so he thought. He heard quickly from the village chief of a 13 year old girl that defeated the demon. The villagers there forced her out along with her siblings out of fear she became the demon.
The story he was told was that a normal girl defeated a demon with combat training or magic seemed impossible. He quickly heard only her right arm was possessed, but not her personality. He knew it might have been some form of Take over magic due to his lessons with Konoe-sensei.
He sighed as he made his way back down the road as he headed back to Magnolia Town in disappointment.
"A whole year of fighting monsters, bandits, dark mages, and a few lesser demons without making a significant change to the land's system. I am glad that Hisui is trying to make a difference with the land, but it will take quite a number of years to get Fiore in proper shape. The Magic Council is doing a horrible job handling dark guilds or guilds in general. The army is too preoccupied with helping places with commerce or huge populations with roads. People from guilds care too much about the jobs posted to make a living. I am starting to wish that King Arthur didn't betray the order…" Link muttered.
He stretched and yawn for a while as he quickly noticed three figures walking behind him. One was wearing a black cloak over her body. She held her head down, but he quickly noticed her silver hair and sad blue eyes. He quickly noticed a boy with the same features walking beside her with a suit carrying a backpack. He also a young girl wearing a pink dress, black leggings, and brown boots running after her.
"Hey, Sir Link!" he heard the girl call out to him. Link turned his head around her to meet her.
"You can call me Link, only older people call me that mostly. Do you need something from me?" Link asked her.
The girl's bright smile beamed as she nodded. "We heard about the fact you took down the troll earlier today and I was wondering if you can help protect us until we find a healer for my sister." as the girl remembered something. "I forgot to introduce myself my name is Lisanna Strauss."
The boy in a formal suit smiled nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. "My name is Elfman Strauss." He introduced himself.
Link stared at the older sibling as he felt a faint presence of demon energy and good size of magic. He felt it coming from her right hand as he reached to grab it.
She tried to pull it away from him as he pulled it up to see the arm was demonic. "So you're the girl that defeated the demon single handily, not bad for your first time using magic." Link pointed.
"Magic?" Elfman muttered in curiosity as well confusion.
Link nodded. "There is no doubt about that your big sister possesses magic. You two also can use magic as well if you were trained enough." Link explained as he sense magic coming from them as well.
"So we can use magic, but what magic does Mira-nee have?" Lisanna asked him.
"She has Take Over magic and it's rare to see anyone that can subjugate a demon as well destroy it in one go." Link murmured.
"Magic… subjugate…" Mira spoke up.
Link nodded. "Take Over magic allows the user to take over a body part or the whole body in general. You can gain strength, speed, and power from the being you recorded to help boost your combat ability. Though it's limited to beings you know." Link explained.
Mira looked at her arm in disgust. "I didn't want this…" She muttered.
"You may have not wanted it, but from here on out it can be a blessing or a curse." Link explained.
He wrote a magical rune along her arm with the word "Nullify Magic". The demonic arm turned back into a regular human arm now.
"Why would it be a blessing?" Mira asked him.
"If you don't learn how to control it the next time it can become a full body transformation possibly. People will shun you away due to a misunderstanding. Magic isn't evil, but the way they are used can make it so." Link lectured her. He tilted his head a moment to think for a moment.
"Maybe she thinks she is a demon and maybe that is why she is so sad." Link thought for a moment.
"You know you are not a demon right?"
Mira looked at him with uncertainty. "Why would you think that…"
Link ripped the cloak of her body causing her to blush. She wore a small black tube top, white cut-off shorts, and black boots.
"The last time I checked demons have demonic appearances and they cared only for themselves. From what I see you care too much to leave your brother and sister behind." Link pointed out.
Elfman and Lisanna smiled. "Thanks… I forgot to introduce myself properly. My name is Mirajane Strauss and thank you for helping me with my dilemma." Mirajane thanked him.
Link nodded with a smile. "Your welcome, but if you are interested in controlling your magic. Come to Magnolia to meet Konoe-sensei the woman that taught me about magic. You can also learn about the guilds you want to join, while you stay at my house." Link offered.
Lisanna eyes sparkled. "Your house, will your parents mind?" Lisanna asked him.
Link fell silent for a moment before nodding. "I own the house… plus my parents died before I ever met them." Link explained.
Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman gritted their teeth like they stepped on glass. "I am sorry…" Mirajane started.
Link raised his hand up. "It's okay, I think they would be proud of me if they lived long to see me now. They died during a civil war and I was passed off to my foster father. I am guessing you three in are in the same boat as me." Link asked them.
He saw Elfman and Lisanna drop their head as Mira spoke up. "They died to a plague that ran rampant when we were younger. I have been taking care of Lisanna and Elfman for a several years." Mira explained.
"I see… I am sorry to bring up bad memories, but let's get going before the sun goes down." Link suggested as they walked together. He handed back Mirajane's cloak to her.
Lisanna spoke up. "Link do you know any good guilds we can?" Lisanna asked him.
Link thought about it for a moment. "During my travels I have seen the big major guilds for myself and interacted with them. It depends namely what you want to learn or do. I can't really decide what guild you join, but if you want a steady income. Join a popular guild, but if you want a challenge join a new one. That way your notoriety can go up for each mission you complete." Link explained.
"What is your house like?" Lisanna asked them.
"I own a villa on the East side of the town." Link told them.
Mirajane looked shocked. "You own a villa?" Mira asked with amusement.
"How old are you?" Elfman asked him.
"I am 12 years old now and I will be thirteen next St. Patrick's Day." Link explained.
"You're the same age as Elf-nii." Lisanna pointed out.
Elfman lowered his head in disappointment. "Yet I am so weak and a coward…" Elfman muttered.
Link's ears picked it up. "Everyone has their own strength and weakness Elfman. As long you don't give up and worked hard something is bound to happen. I was never one to study anything until Konoe-sensei came into my life." Link explained.
It left a smile on the siblings faces as they walked together as Lisanna skipped happily. "Hey Link, do you know if we can find a carriage to ride in? My feet are tired…" Lisanna complained.
Link slammed his hands together as a blue and purple seal appeared before him. "Rune Make: Construct!" Link shouted. As several words began to popped out of the seal. It began taking a shape of a carriage and mechanical horse. The words finally blended together making the carriage like a royal carriage. The white horse looked mechanical in nature. It stared at him and snorted as Link clicked his fingers making archive screen appear up.
He quickly connected the construct with the proper directions to Magnolia. "This is awesome it looks like a royal carriage that princesses' use in my story!" Lisanna shouted in joy.
Mirajane looked confused for a moment. "Everything looks so real…" She muttered in wonder.
"Letter magic is based on a rule and principles varying on what's written or casted. The type of Rune Magic I learned was normal at first and I could only make word versions of a carriage. Once I got the a book based on the Rune Knight's order's magic. I am starting to make real things based on words, but there are limitations to it. Right now I programmed the horse to take us all the way to Magnolia Town…" Link explained.
He quickly noticed Elfman and Lisanna jump and inspected the carriage with awe. Mirajane giggled and shook her head. "I am sorry that they aren't listening to you." Mirajane apologized.
Link waved it off. "As long as they are enjoying themselves am I fine with that. We should get going before it get's too dark, though." Link suggested. He head towards the carriage and held his hand out to help Mirajane into it.
She took his hand and blushed a little as she went inside the carriage. Link shut the door behind them as the horse took off the down the road with neck breaking speeds.
The horse made sure to stay on the road at a safe pace. It would only take a couple of hours to get to Magnolia Town before night fall.
…
By the time the horse got there it was night time. Magnolia's Town's light's were on as the horse slowed down due to low visbility. Lisanna, Elfman, and Mirajane were taking in the sights of the town. Mirajane noticed the Fairy Tail building in the distance.
"What is that building?" Mirajane asked Link.
Link looked out the window for a moment. "That building there is the Fairy Tail Mage Guild, my sensei joined to help keep an eye on the kids there to make sure they grow up properly. Mostly for the girls sake rather than the boys. Makarov Dreyar is the guild master and he is very powerful mage, he is considered to be a Ten Wizard Saint. He has taken in other kids like Cana, Levy, Gray, Natsu, Erza, and probably more since I last time I saw them." Link explained.
Lisanna's eyes twinkled happily. "There have kids in the guild, can we meet them?" Lisanna asked Link.
Link casually shrugged. "We are stopping there anyway, I was going to introduce Konoe-sensei." Link told her as they felt the carriage stop in front of the guild as they heard sounds of cheering going on. Link opened up the carriage and helped them out of it. He quickly noticed Laxus sitting outside listening to his headphones.
He looked up in shock as he noticed Link here. "So the young Knight actually comes back home and it looks like you brought some company with you as well." Laxus told them.
Link gave a short bow to him. "It's good to see you doing well Laxus, I am sorry that you didn't make S-rank last year. Konoe-sensei said it had something due to an illness that screwed up you starting chances." Link told him.
Laxus turned his head away in embarrassment. "Stupid race… it's nothing, I can become an S-rank mage this year. At least Konoe makes this guild looks good and curbed some of these bad tendencies from these brats. It's really hard to beat the habit out of them, but what's up with these three."
Link turned to meet them. "I met them on the road and helped them with a oldest sibling is Mirajane Strauss, Elfman is the in the middle, and Lisanna is the youngest." Link introduce herself.
Lisanna hopped up to Laxus with a beaming smile. "What magic do use Laxus? Can we see it?" Lisanna asked him. Laxus found hard to not deny her request. As a crackle of electricity came from his hand.
"I use lightning magic, but it's destructive in nature so I rather not play around with it. So what magic do they know, Link?" Laxus asked him.
He turned towards them all. "Well Mirajane can use Take Over magic, she can completely subjugated a demon and destroyed by accident." Link explained.
Laxus raised an eyebrow in intrest. "Really I never heard of anyone subjugated a demon with Take Over before. I can feel her magic level is equal to Erza and this is without training." Laxus spoke up.
"Lisanna and Elfman can use magic as well, but I prefer a professional teacher train them instead of myself." Link explained. He turned towards them. "You guys can head on inside and introduce yourself. I plan on heading home to put up my equipment and check on a few things before I head back to the guild."
The three excitedly went inside the guild as Link turned Laxus. "You are not going to go in and say hello to them?" Laxus asked them.
Link nodded. "It's been awhile since I been home…" Link yawned as he green energy wrapped around his body. "I can meet them tomorrow when I am rested up properly." Link explained.
He finally teleported away towards his house. Laxus looked up in the sky wondering something.
"Out of all the kids I met he is the weirdest one, he acts like an adult. Something feels off about him each time I meet him. It's like he is holding some big great secret compared to everyone else.." Laxus muttered as he continued listening to his music.
He quickly saw Natsu burst out of the guild angrily. "Link, where did you go! Fight me!" Natsu shouted.
Konoe slammed her fist into his head knocking him out. "You are being too loud Natsu in the middle of the night no less." Konoe scolded him. She turned towards Laxus as she looked towards the east. "He must have been tired and went straight home."
She dragged Natsu back indoors as Erza and Gray sweatdropped seeing him being dragged around.
"I am guessing flame brain didn't see Link at all." Gray asked Konoe.
Konoe nodded. "Of course not, he headed on home to get some rest. A whole year traveling around fighting monster's, bandits, dark mages, and lesser demons is not easy. He was fulfilling his knightly duties by answering the King and Princesses requests as well. I have no doubt he would head straight here tomorrow after he has rested up." Konoe explained.
Erza placed on her hands on her hips. "I wanted to test my current skills can match his." Erza told them.
Konoe turned to the Strauss siblings with an amused eye. She pulled held out two small lacrima crystal in hand. "Link was right about you two having magic. It seems you two have different forms of Take Over like your sister." Konoe explained. "Lisanna has an affinity over animals and Elfman has affinity over beasts in general."
Lisanna jumped in joy. "I can use magic like Mira-nee too! When can I start learning?" Lisanna cheerfully asked Konoe.
"Tomorrow after you take my assessment test." Konoe told them.
"Assessment test…" Elfman muttered.
Konoe showed them the lacrima crystals. "I helped tapped into your magic by using the lacrima as conduit to draw out your latent power. I need to see how healthy you are by taking you all to the doctor. I need to see what your intelligence is like as well and check your magic levels as well. I don't want to waste my time training someone who can die on me or doesn't have the capacity to learn." Konoe lectured.
Elfman laughed nervously as Lisanna jumped in joy. "You are sending us to school too?" Lisanna asked them.
"Unlike that baka of a master in this guild… I will refuse just letting you learn just magic alone. Working in a guild carries risks themselves if you aren't prepared for the long haul. I know Link promised you can stay over his house for the time being, but you guys will need to work to help gain your own house." Konoe explained.
"Do we need to open our bank account as well before we take missions?" Mirajane asked them.
Konoe nodded. "Thank goodness someone here is responsible, but you will also need a savings account as well. You will need to place half you earn into from each mission as well. You never know when you might need it especially if one of you get sick or hurt. I have been trying to teach Natsu this and he easily forgets it." Konoe sighed tossing Natsu onto the floor.
Lisanna walked up to him poking him. "Will he be okay?" Lisanna asked her.
Konoe shrugged. "That baka will get up in an hour or so." Konoe reassured them.
Elfman turned to Gray nervously. "Is Konoe-san always like this?" Elfman asked him.
Gray shrugged. "It's not like she is mean… she actually cares what happens to us. So don't take it personally if she yells at you. She at least teaches us more about things unlike the old man."
Makarov dropped his head in disappointment as Enno patted his shoulder. "It's okay Makarov… you have to understand you are just getting too old to actively watch over them all. At least they respect you." Enno reassured them.
"At this point… it looks like Konoe is slowly taking over the guild." Makarov muttered.
...
The sound of roaring flame blue roared early in the morning as Naryu overlooked Link's spiritual flame. Link placed the Goddess Longsword into the fire of the forge. The sword began to absorb the spiritual flames essence as Link carefully pulled it out of the fire. He looked in awe as he noticed the sword turning white in color.
Nayru nodded. "You have done an excellent job in creating my spiritual flame. The sword you know hold is called the Goddess Whitesword. It's dowsing ability has increased allowing you to search out for inanimate objects like treasure now." Nayru explained.
Link bowed to her. "Thank you for overseeing the process with me Nayru-sama" Link thanked her.
She smiled and nodded. "It was a pleasure, but I didn't come here for just that, Link. The wielder of Triforce of Wisdom wanted to speak to you, but she sent her envoy." Nayru explained.
Link raised an eyebrow up in confusion. "I am guessing she know where I am and what is going on?" Link asked her.
Nayru nodded. "The moment the people of Ordona established a temple to us. She has the ability to look inside Earthland and check on you. She has sent her trusted bodyguard here to talk to you." Nayru explained.
Link stopped for a moment to think. He quickly held out his sword as it pulsed as it pointed towards the dark spot in the room. "I know you are here Impa-san." Link pointed out.
As a shadow extended out from the corner as he quickly noticed the woman appear before him. She wore a similar outfit like Sheik wore, but with armored plating on top the vital points.
"I see you are getting stronger and sharper with each day. The defenses around your home are impressive, but they lack a certain something." Impa complimented him as Nayru dissipated away.
"Konoe-sensei, won't like the fact that someone bypassed through all defenses with ease…" Link muttered.
Impa raised her eyebrow up in amusement. "I heard you had a teacher that was teaching you magic. She knows a great deal of magic, but your apparent stealth and detection skills are lacking. If you had to use the Goddess Whitesword to detect me then you need more training. Come and get dressed in that armor stylized after my clan and meet me in the forest." Impa explained.
Link nodded and requipped into his Sheikah armor as he followed her out the door.
"I wonder what type of training I am going to do now…"
…
Link grunted as he fell out the tree as he held onto a naginata in hand. He quickly rolled back to his feet as he looked up at Impa who stood in a tree wielding a giant sword that was used by the goron's.
"You are very clumsy for someone who lived amongst the forest for most of the life." Impa scolded him.
Link jumped back into the trees to meet her. "I am not use to fighting in trees." Link admitted.
"What you meant to say is the fact you are not ready for the unconventional fighting style. My clan specializes in espionage, bodyguarding, guerilla warfare, and unconventional warfare. On top of that we mastered weapons, bombs, and magic itself." Impa explained.
She drawing her sword as Link spun using his naginata. The two weapons clashed making a small shockwave. They quickly spun in a circle clashing blades as Link felt his body not moving as Impa stopped.
"Shadow Possession." Link heard her muttered. He quickly looked down to see her shadow connecting to his. Water blades rained down on top of him cutting into him. As Impa flicked a small bomb that attached to his chest. She kicked him off the tree as the bomb exploded sending him tumbling.
She quickly noticed something was off as she saw a rune like symbols covering Link's body looking like magic armor. He raised his hand up like creating a seal. She looked down to see a seal form under her. She jumped up only to be sent straight towards the ground by the force of gravity. Impa quickly rolled to her feet as she looked up at him.
He tossed his Naginata at her as she leaned to the side to dodge it. Link teleported behind shocking her as he he quickly spun. Only to see Impa quickly grabbed his wrist and slammed him into the ground. As Link quickly twirled his body around as he kicked out out one of her legs.
Impa used the momentum from the blow to backflip away as Link rolled back to his feet grabbing his Naginata in one hand. Din's fire wrapped around the blade as he saw water form in front of her.
Spiralling vortex of water shout out towards him. He released a vortex of fire towards the water spell as the both collided making a huge steam wall. He closed his eyes for a moment as opened them to reveal the lens of truth was activated. He quickly saw kunai coming towards. Link sidestepped it as he noticed Impa coming from his blind spot.
He slammed his hands together. As wooden poles came out of the ground as one shot Link up towards the trees. Her blade was stopped by the wooden poles as she quickly sheathed her sword. "Wood Make: Wood Dragon!"
A chinese wood dragon sprang up from the ground and rushed forward towards to Impa's position. She slammed her hands together and breathed deeply. A stream of fire jutted out from her mouth burning the wood dragon to cinders.
*Thud*
A pair of arrows landed in Impa's armor causing her to look shock. She looked up to see Link holding his bow blade.
"I made sure only to hit non-vital…" Link started. He felt a cold steel touch his throat as Impa stood behind him.
Link looked down to see the other her was just a shadow as he looked confused. "You used the steam to make a Shadow clone." Link muttered.
Impa nodded. "Most clones tend to use the same element they were created since it's easy. My clones are much more advanced in nature unlike others. You do a good job in creating unorthodox approaches in battle, but you tend to fight honorably Link." Impa told them.
She saw the rune letters across his body glow as he smirked. She jumped away as she saw the rune armor exploded as Link sighed.
"Detonating my rune armor to send out a magic pulse is a great idea, but it seems like it doesn't work for high level opponents quite well." Link commented.
Impa chuckled. "It seems you came a long way from being a being a swordsman. We can my assessment test for now." Impa sat down on the tree.
"Impa-san, I want to ask-" Link started.
"You want to know why I am here. It's simple after you helped established a temple here in this land. The princess in your this timeline didn't understand what you went through. It's not something you can ever go back to and you were struggling to adapt. From what I know you only a few people know about your true origins." Impa explained.
"It's not believable to them unless they peer in my mind." Link explained.
Impa nodded. "True, but it's not the fact you are scared of moving on. It's the fact you are clueless to how to live your own life. You obviously can't go back to Kokiri forest and live there with them anymore. Hyrule itself would waste the skills you develop in favor for peace." Impa explained.
She jumped towards him and sat right next to him. "I bet your father would be proud if you two ever met each other."
Link turned his head in confusion. "My father?" Link asked Impa.
Impa nodded. "You father Ventus, he was one of the greatest guardian knights he could ever ask for. Your mother Medilia would scold you for not taking care of your personal health." Impa commented.
"What were they like?"
"Your father would tend to act like you in a way. He would be honest to a fault and act when someone needs help. Your mother on the hand was kind, gentle, and patient. She was one of the doctors in the medical ward. She was one of the very few the actually know how to use a healing spell." Impa explained.
Link frowned. "It couldn't help her…" Link muttered.
Impa nodded. "No one in Hyrule could have helped seeing they never focused on the healing arts like she did. You must be never complacent with your current skills Link. Take time and dedicate areas you don't focus in." Impa lectured him. She pulled out a scroll from her vest. She handed it to him as Link looked confused.
"What is this?" Link asked her.
"It's something that your mother left you along with some healing spells inside it. It also contains a will with some knowledge of your family fighting styles inside it. The king asked me to give it to you since it's yours after all. It took him quite a while to find it within the the royal library. I want you to take some time out to read it, but before that let's make out a training schedule and time for studying." Impa explained.
Link looked confused. "Studying again…" Link murmurred.
Impa nodded. "Despite your time learning under Konoe. You still need to learn more Link, you aren't going to be grow up to be uneducated man only know fighting. Maybe I should speak to this Konoe-sensei about your new education plan." Impa told him.
Link grunted and sighed as he placed his hands over his head in disappointment first. He quickly threw down his hands as deku nut landed on the ground blinding Impa as she stood back stun. She opened her eyes to see Link was gone as she looked around. She didn't feel his presence or the use of magic.
"I didn't expect him to pick up on the trick so easily…" Impa muttered. She headed towards the house to cut him off.
…
A/N: Now that is a wrap it's been awhile since I updated. I should've focus on the other character's more like Mystogan more. I need to also make a list of the weapons Link has so I don't lose focus to what weapons he has. He was bound to meet Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman during his travels so I added them seeing they would look for a way to cure Mirajane if it was possible. I am really excited to see my Link grow as a person rather than a mute that everyone loves and knows. I wanted to add in fights with Erza, but at this point it wouldn't be too much to write. Link wielding has wielded a sword way longer than Erza and was forced to fight monster's all by himself. So far as new weapons all I can say right now, Fire rod, bow blade, magical saber staff, and clawshot talons. It's a reward for those who read up to this part. Don't think Link is an expert user of weapons with a naginata yet or the magical saber staff. So that is enough about the story itself, please let me know what you think. Until next time: Please Read and Review.
