Hey Everyone! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WAITING! I am not one hundred percent, but I got some inspiration to write since I am doing a bit better. Seriously, thank you all for the support you have shown me in getting me better. I will get straight into the chapter! And I hope you all enjoy it! Remember to go to my profile to see the link for the pole. Now here we go! And to add, I consider Kuroko part of the KnS, but some don't. So when I say they are there, it includes Kuroko. Don't know if I've said that before. Also, in this chapter Kagami will be Taiga and his dad will be Kai. Now, onward!

It had now been half an hour since the elder Kagami had passed out, twenty minutes since he had woken up, and ten minutes since Tatsuya and Alex could calm him down enough to explain the entire situation in the infirmary. The Kiseki no Sedai, Momoi, and Kagami all stood in the hall, waiting to hear what would happen in the end. Sometimes they would hear raised voices, but they calmed down as quickly as they came.

Kagami could only pace back and forth, worried not only because he might have to leave Japan but also for his father's mental health after all of this. No one tried to calm him down, knowing they would only make the situation worse or even get yelled at.

After what seemed like an eternity the door opened and the three occupants of the room came out. They all had a poker face, though that was Tatsuya's default expression. Kagami had finally stopped pacing, choosing to stand in front of his dad. Alex and Tatsuya stepped out of the way, joining the others in the hall. They all stared at the Kagami's.

Finally having enough, the younger spoke up. "Dad…I really want to stay in Japan…I am having so much fun and the people here are so supportive. I know you probably want me to go home, but…I really, really want to be here."

Everyone now looked at the elder Kagami, though not ignoring the cuteness that Taiga just exuded. But it wasn't him to speak up next. Next, it was actually one Aomine Daiki. "Sir, I know that the decision is ultimately up to you, but...I…WE…would really like it if Ka-Taiga stayed. So, uh, yea."

Kagami Kai looked at Aomine and then back at Taiga. He then sighed, smiling. "Don't worry. I didn't plan to make you leave." He pulled Kagami into a hug. "The situation is probably stressful enough you don't need me to take you away from a comfort. And in the end, no matter what you choose to stay, you will always be my little Tiger."

Taiga hugged his dad. "Thanks so much dad! Let me introduce you to everyone."

"No need. I can assume these are the Kiseki no Sedai you talked on and on about. This is Kise Ryouta, Midorima Shintarou, Murasakibara Atsushi, Akashi Seijurou, who I hope I can talk to later about business together, and Kuroko Tetsuya." He then looked at Aomine. "And you, young man, must be the one and only Aomine Daiki."

Aomine looked at everyone else before looking back at Kai. "Um, yes sir."

"Taiga talks a lot about you."

Taiga spoke up now. "Dad! Shut up!"

Aomine looked at Taiga who had a slight blush on his cheeks. "And what does he say about me?" he asked with a smirk on his face, leaning forward and down a bit.

"Nothing!" Taiga answered getting a bit closer to his face, glaring and challenging him.

"Sure doesn't seem like nothing to me. If it was really nothing you could tell me no problem, right?"

Before Taiga could respond, Kai interjected saying, "He talks about how arrogant and annoying you are." The two teens look over at the older man before looking back at each other, Taiga crossing his arms and looking smug and Aomine giving a mini glare.

Now Alex spoke up. "Alright, how about we get in some extra practice? I wanted to train you all more anyways. Kai, you can see how much Taiga has improved. Even as a girl he is as strong as ever."

"I'd like that a lot. It's been a while since I had enough time to even talk to Taiga. Watching him practice will be great." After saying that, Taiga started to drag Kai to the gym.

"Come on, come on. You get to see these guys in action too. They are awesome!"

Kai only laughed before motioning for everyone to follow along.

Finally, it was dinnertime. Everyone had worked up a huge appetite tonight, so Taiga made a lot of food with the help of, surprisingly, his dad. Everyone had assumed he got his ability to cook from his mom, but he had gotten it from his dad.

"This is really good, what did you call it, red beans and rice?" Riko asked.

"Yup. It's a dish from Louisiana. If you want is spicier, I recommend adding this hot sauce." He held up a bottle of red rooster hot sauce. Everyone declined. He shrugged and put a copious amount into his own.

Somehow, the flow of the conversation at the Seirin table, where Kai was sitting, got to stories from Taiga's childhood. "…And that's why Taiga doesn't like dogs!" he finished his third embarrassing story of the night.

"Dad! Stop talking!" Taiga said flushed red from embarrassment.

His teammates laughed. Koganei said, "Now your face matches your hair and eyes!" This only made the others laugh as well.

"Yes, well, I have one more really funny story. It's about when Taiga had his first kiss!" This caught the attention of everyone in the cafeteria, silencing the room. Aomine's brows furrowed.

"Dad! No, not that one! I was so young it doesn't count!"

"To them it counted! Anyways, it was before we left for the states. Taiga was in kindergarten. One day, he came home more excited than any other day. I asked why, and he said it was because he had finally made a friend. He had just transferred to this school since I had to move for my job. This was before I was higher up in the company.

"Moving on, I asked what his friend was like and he said that they were fun and liked to play with cars just like he did and they thought his eyebrows were cool. Time went on and the two played every day together when they were at school. Finally, the day came for parents to go to school to see what their kids were up to. So I go, so I can meet the kid and their parents. Well, turns out the kids parents were too busy to come, so the kid got very upset.

"No one was able to calm the kid down, so Taiga tried his hand at it. The kid kept covering their mouth, so Taiga thought maybe they have a booboo there. So he takes the kids hands off his mouth and smack! Kisses him in front of everybody."

"Did you say him?" Hyuuga asked.

"Yup. Kissed him. The kid got quiet though and looked at Taiga, who only smile and said 'There! Since I kissed the booboo it is all better! You can be with my papa and me today!'"

"Are you still friends with the kid?" Aomine asked.

Kai turned a knowing glance at Aomine. "No, they don't talk anymore. We had to move away again after the school year ended. The next time after that was to move to America where I got many promotions and am now CEO. I had to get a well-paying job with how you ate. You and your mother ate away my paychecks."

"Mom at a lot too?" Taiga asked.

"Hmm? Yea. You see, she was a volleyball player, jumped the highest out of everyone she came up she would come home starving and would eat enough for ten people."

"Now we know where his appetite comes from," Izuki whispered to Furihata and the other two freshmen, who only nodded.

"I'm glad you got your mothers athletic ability, but I had also hoped that you would get my academic ability." Kai laughed at his son's pouting face. "Oh, don't look at me like that. You know I embarrass you because I love you. It will ward the boys away from my now precious daughter~! Hey! Does that mean I can buy you cute sun dresses and pink frilly clothes?"

Taiga looked at his dad mortified. "NO WAY!" He stood up, gathering his dishes. "I'm going to go shoot some hoops. Today has been long and tiring and I need to unwind."

Dinner for everyone continued, though Aomine snuck out without anyone noticing, or so he thought. A protective father's eyes followed him the entire way until he disappeared behind the doors.

Aomine found Taiga practicing three pointers. He watched for about a minute before walking into the gym. "So you were a little playboy as a child?" he teased.

Startled, Kagami let out a girlish squeal before turning to glare, blushing. "No, I was not! And don't sneak up on people. That's Kuroko's job."

Aomine laughed. "I'll give you that last part." He walked up to Taiga, taking a ball from the basket. "Want to play a short one-on-one? It won't be too strenuous on either of us and we can get some energy out of our systems."

At the mention of a one-on-one, Taiga immediately perked up. "Yea! Let's do it!"

The two played for about an hour, with Aomine winning, of course. But they still had fun so they didn't really care who had won. "Alright, rock paper scissors for who puts the balls away," Taiga suggested, sticking his hand out. Smirking, Aomine stuck his out. After saying the ceremonial chant beforehand, it ended with Aomine losing, after a few ties.

"Alright! See you tomorrow Ahomine!" Taiga started to walk to the doors leading out.

"Yea, yea, Bakagami. See you tomorrow." Aomine watched as Taiga left, staring at her butt. Sure, he hadn't been as pervy lately, but there was no man alive that wouldn't watch her walk away with that ass.

When Aomine finished, he walked down the hall leading to the dorms. He was stopped, however, when someone blocked his path. It was Kagami Kai.

"Hello, sir. Is there anything I can do for you? Taiga already went to his room to get a shower and all that."

Kai shook his head. "No, I'm here to talk to you." Aomine pointed at himself. "Yes, you. Just…something simple I need to say." He took a few steps closer to Aomine, stopping in front of him. He was a little taller than the bluenette. He smiled, but it didn't seem to have that much warmth. "I don't mind that Taiga might like you. I don't usually mind who Taiga liked…but there is one thing I do mind, and that is if the guy or girl he is into is treating them properly. So, here is what I have to say. If you plan on courting my son…you had better do so with the intention of a long term relationship. Otherwise…" He didn't need to finish his threat. It was clear that he was being a protective father, and Aomine wasn't going to argue with him.

"Yes sir. I'll take that advice to heart."

Now Kai smiled a real smile. "Great. Anyways, see you tomorrow, Aomine." And with that, he left a slightly crept out Aomine in the dimly lit hallway.
