Chapter 6

Stuck

It had been three days. THREE DAYS, and this stupid padawan just wouldn't wake up. The expected arrival for his ship was two days ago, but the droids broke his cruiser. This just wasn't Tanner's day. At a standstill in Jedi space, without any means of escape, plus the padawan of one of the most powerful Jedi Masters in the universe on board, Tanner didn't have time to panic. He continued work on his ship, but got nowhere. "Damn! I have no clue how to fix this hunk of junk! You!" Tanner exclaimed, pointing at a droid. "Isn't one of you supposed to be programmed to fix ships?"

"Yes sir, but he is out of commission. The replacement is being given the necessary programming, but it will take another day to get him up to speed."

"Damn!"

Tanner stormed back to the command center, fists clenched tightly at his sides. He sat in his chair, and tried to calm himself. He needed a clear head if he was going to fix it. Maybe a nap will help, He thought.

He closed his eyes, head resting on the back of his chair. Just as he was about to fall asleep, a droid tapped him on the shoulder. Tanner scowled and opened his eyes to glare at the droid. "What. Now."

"Sir. The prisoner is awake," it said.

Tanner's right index finger started tapping on the arm of his chair. "I'll be there in fifteen minutes," he said as he set his mind to meditation.

"Let me out of here you pieces of scrap! I'll …" Nickole began screaming as soon as she woke up. A communicator beeped, loudly interrupting her string of swears. She took a deep breath, and spoke again. "Your master is calling you. Might want to answer that you HUNK OF JUNK!"

The droid answered the communicator as Nickole began yelling again. "Yes sir. I'm sorry sir she's very loud. Yes sir." The droid looked at Nickole, who was nearly red in the face from shouting so much. "You will have a visitor shortly," he said, in his monotone.

"I don't want any visitors. I want out of here!" she exclaimed.

The droid walked out, leaving Nickole to her thoughts. The first thing she needed to do was to calm down. That's what Master Vaal would say. She began her calming process, and just as she was about there, a stranger walked in. It was the sith.

"Listen you little wanna-be goodie-goodie piece of crap. Be quiet. This is my first solo mission, and its already stressful enough. Now you've interrupted my meditation because you wouldn't shut the fuck up. Now I'm going to ask that you be quiet so I don't do something I'll regret in the next five minutes. I'll give you the same amount of time to calm down so we can have a rational reasonable conversation without killing one another," Tanner's words came out exasperated. He was angrily trying to be calm with this Jedi.

"You want to have a calm, rational conversation put that vein back in your forehead where it belongs," Nick retorted, sassily.

Taking one deep breath to calm down, Tanner responded, "As soon as you put that tongue of yours on a leash."

Nick glared at the sith. "I'll leave you with your thoughts then. You seem to need the time," Tanner said.

Nick stood up, and stared angrily at Tanner as he walked out the door. Before exiting, Tanner turned to the girl, and smiled evily. "Don't hurt yourself Nicky."

Tanner, ignoring the swearing coming from the room behind him, left to go back to meditating.

Sup! Hows your summer been? Mine's been absolutely crazy which is why I haven't been posting stuff (sorry...)

I had a spare moment so me and my best friend in the entire universe (he's on here all times pass) worked on this and are working on the next chapter as we speak!

Catch ya on the flip side! ~Alyss
