Hi all, here's another chapter of this story. I hope you enjoy it.

….

Margaret and Hawkeye left their home, leaving Al and Daniel to chat and bond.

"I'm so nervous Hawkeye. I mean, I really hope I'm pregnant and that the baby's healthy."

Hawkeye smiled at his wife, "It'll be ok. You'll be fine. The baby will be fine. We'll be fine."

Margaret could see Hawkeye's nerves. He really was excited, but he was worried if he'd be able to cope with being a father.

"Let's just get to the doctor's office Hawk. We'll know more then."

After a 15 minute drive they arrived at Margaret's OB/GYN. Luckily, the appointments were running on time so they only had to wait a few minutes before going into the doctor's office.

Dr Robert Jones approached the couple, "Margaret, it's lovely to see you. I hope you've been feeling ok. Hawkeye, it's great to see you again. It's been a long time since our residency in Boston hasn't it?"

Hawkeye hadn't seen Bob in years. He didn't even know that he was the local OB/GYN.

"Bob, how are you doing? I had no idea you were here now. I thought you were in New York."

"I was, but I moved back home about 6 months ago. Missed the place and the people. Still adjusting to a small town environment. So's my wife. She's a native New Yorker so…"

Margaret was sitting nervously watching the men interact when she smiled sweetly and interrupted, "Dr Jones. My results?"

"Oh yes, sorry Margaret. I know you two must be nervous. It's ok though. You're pregnant. About 9 weeks along."

Margaret was grinning from ear to ear while Hawkeye sat quietly and smiled.

"Is the baby ok Bob?"

"Everything looks good Hawkeye. Just expect a little gift in about 31 weeks. Your baby will be a March/April baby. He or she should is due on 28 March, but you never know. Especially with the first one. Margaret, when you leave, just pick up your vitamins at reception. They're ready for you. Just take it easy for the first trimester. Maybe wait until past the 12 week mark before announcing it to friends. I'm just being realistic, especially with Margaret being in her late 30s. Can you both do that?"

Margaret and Hawkeye understood the risks, them both being in the medical profession. Margaret was the one to speak first, "Dr Jones, Hawkeye and I will make sure I take care of myself and only our fathers will be told about this now. Everyone else will just have to wait."

"Well then, I'll see you in a few weeks so we can do your first ultrasound. In the meantime, here's my home number. I'd love to have you both over for dinner. I know my wife would love meeting new people, especially a couple going through what we are. My wife's into her 16th week of pregnancy with our second child so she really wants to meet another mother, someone she can talk to throughout this process. Do you mind?"

Margaret smiled, "Of course not. I'd love to meet her. It'd be lovely to have someone to talk to about all this."

Margaret and Hawkeye left Bob's office soon after with everything they needed and a further appointment booked. They were both so excited to welcome their baby, but Hawkeye's doubts lingered.
