Chapter 3:
"Oh," Bulma heaved a sigh a she leaned back on her chair after ChiChi had finished telling her story, "That's it?" she asked. Her companion nodded in answer which provoked a disappointed sigh from the blue-haired girl, "I thought that something had actually happened, but all I got was an attack by green freaks and a savior…" ChiChi watched her friend who seemed to be deep in thought. Suddenly, Bulma leaned in towards the black-haired girl and said her voice only slightly above a whisper, "Do you think it's the same guy you told me about before? You know the one you met when you were little?" ChiChi, however, did not answer. He told that to her himself, but she just wasn't a hundred percent sure yet. Maybe he was just messing with her…
"So how's work at Capsule Corp? Is it as hard as you thought it would be?" ChiChi asked in an effort to change the subject. Ever the curious one, Bulma was thinking about returning the subject to what it had been seconds ago… but even curious people like her know exactly when to stop pushing… which was right now in this case.
"Believe me when I tell you, whatever I said about the work before is definitely underrated!" she exclaimed, "I never expected taking over the company would be that hard!" Bulma, then, proceeded to tell the other woman about her troubles earning some giggles from her every now and then. The two talked for a good long hour before they were interrupted by a commotion outside.
"Oh my! Look! It's the moving castle!" A woman cried as she watched the moving structure, her friends quickly following suit. Bulma rushed to the window close by and watched intently, ChiChi hot on her heels. From afar, the two could see a huge metallic robot-like structure making its way between the trees in the woods and the thick fog. While ChiChi was not interested in the moving 'castle', Bulma was left aghast every time they saw it. The heiress kept blabbering about how cool it looked and how hard it must have been to build it apart from other things that always made ChiChi tune out all what the other girl was saying.
However, there were only two things ChiChi always thought about when she laid eyes on it. One was that it was the ugliest thing she had ever seen in her entire life. It was gigantic, the whole covering was dull. Not just in its colors but in its design as well. It had small robot-like arms and legs which carried the entire thing around. Nevertheless, it wasn't its appearance that absolutely mortified ChiChi. It was the sickening thumping of the structure that did. Every now and then, and seemingly at equal intervals of time, the whole thing thumped like a heart would when pumping blood. ChiChi shuddered when she caught a glimpse of the thumping castle.
The second thing was how it always lingered around this particular city she lived in. It always was there in the far distance. Only on one particular day does it come closer… her birthday. That both crept out and astonished ChiChi. It was as if that thing had a mind of its own. ChiChi shook her head and tried to focus on what her friend was saying.
"I heard something the other day about the moving castle…" Bulma stated seriously. ChiChi watched her friend questioningly and waited for her to continue, "I heard that some people live on it. Imagine that, people living on a moving house," Bulma giggled at the thought. After that, the blue-haired woman gasped loudly, "Ooh, how could I forget! I bought you something!" She walked towards their table and got out a box from her purse. The box was wrapped in red paper decorated with white dots.
"Happy birthday, ChiChi!" Bulma said as she handed the box to her friend, "I even wrapped it in your favorite color!"
"Oh, thank you, Bulma! You really didn't have to!" ChiChi exclaimed as she unwrapped her present, "Wow!" ChiChi remarked as she examined the contents of the box, "How did you know I wanted this?"
"Well, I saw you looking at it from the shop window and I thought that it would be a great gift!"
"But… it is really expensive…"
"If you don't want it, I can take it back," Bulma commented as she winked at her shocked friend.
"No, no. I love it!"
"Besides, you're my best friend! And that's what best friends do!" Bulma said as she hugged her friend. The two collected their stuff and walked towards the door.
"So, I'll see you tomorrow ChiChi!" Bulma shouted before heading towards her house. ChiChi yelled back as she held her newly acquired fur coated, pink purse. She was about to walk home as well when she remembered the gift the man gave her. She looked in her old purse but found nothing. Thus, she headed to the coffee shop again and searched everywhere for it. Nonetheless, two hours passed and she didn't find it. 'But I didn't even see what was inside…' she thought bitterly as she marched back home. Unbeknownst to her, two pairs of black eyes were watching her every move. In the hands of the owner was a box much like the box ChiChi possessed hours ago. The being opened the box and sneered at its contents.
"All that for a damned necklace…" The creature's voice boomed in the empty hallway it was in. Its black cloak was covering its body creating the necessary hiding place it needed, but what was seen of its skin was tan. Its head resembled a human but had short feathers covering the side of its face like a beard. Its hair barely reached its shoulders and had a feathery touch to them. It wore black gloves and matching boots, but from the clothes it was wearing, the only thing one could make out was that it had the body of a human.
The creature tried to open the necklace with its hands, but it didn't budge. It opened its mouth revealing short razor-sharp teeth. It bit the golden necklace, but it couldn't even scratch it.
"Better keep this…" It said before it put the necklace in one of its pockets. And with one slash of its cloak, it was gone.

Meanwhile, Goku had just gotten back to his moving house. Suddenly, a green alien jumped at him from behind. Goku quickly sidestepped and the creature blew up a few feet in front of him sending various wild animals scurrying away from the area.
"Self-destruct, huh?" He wondered aloud.
"These creatures are getting bolder," A voice startled the spiky- haired saiyan from inside the house, which seemed to be taking a nap.
"Oh, Vegeta, it's you!" Goku exclaimed as he laughed, "Yeah, you're right. They wouldn't have even dared to come close to this place before… Not only that, but they're learning new techniques as well," Noticing his friend's questioning glare, he continued, "They created an illusion of an alleyway. They also came out of a wall. I never knew Saibamen could do that…"
"Well, they certainly didn't when we had control over them!" Vegeta yelled as his eye twitched in anger, "There's probably someone helping them," Goku nodded in agreement. His eyes widened when he realized something.
"More enemies?! We're already in over our heads as it is! How are we supposed to protect ChiChi? Especially when she's so far away!" Goku exclaimed.
"Easy, we bring her here…" The flame-haired saiyan amswered.
"And how are we gonna do that?"
"That's your job, not mine," Vegeta replied as he made his way into the house, "I have some things to take care of, you have to bring that girl here, understand?" Goku sighed in annoyance.
"Yeah, let's give all the hard jobs to Goku!" Goku said aloud as he followed the other saiyan inside.
The interior of the house was a lot different than its exterior. It was cozy and a fire pit at the center of the living room warmed up the place a lot. Its design was much like an old house. The whole inside of the castle screamed comfortable! However, despite the coziness of the place, it was beyond dirty! The outcome of having two saiyans living together with neither of them caring about the cleanliness of the place was evident in here. The kitchen was covered with smudges of different foods. The sink alone was piled to the rim with dishes and other stuff that the floor was now being used to put dirty kitchen ware on as well.
Goku closed the door behind him and moved away. Above the door was a spinning wheel which had five colors. Blue, red, yellow, black and the one the knob was currently on, green. Only three of them has Goku ever tried, but he never dared to turn the knob to the other two, black and red. Mainly, that was because of the many warnings his friend gave him. Vegeta always described the things that laid in those colors to be horrible that Goku was left wide-eyed after every warning. Goku was by no mean a coward, but the other saiyan rarely gave him advice. No, he never gave any advice at all, except never to try to go to one of those zones. Therefore, Goku decided that it was important to abide by that unwritten law.
Goku sighed heavily as he walked towards the not so neat couch and sat on its comfortable leather. Neither saiyans uttered a sound as Vegeta turned the knob to the black color and opened the door. Goku saw in that short moment the vast emptiness of the space Vegeta was heading to before the door was closed again and the knob automatically returned to the green color.
"Well, time to get back to work…" Goku muttered before heading towards the door and preparing himself for a long day in different locations.
"Hey, hey! Please try not to ruin my system this time!" A voice cried from the fire pit, "And give me some wood! I'm hungry!" Goku scratched the back of his head before doing as he was told. The fire inside seemed to relax and take pleasure as it 'ate' the piece it was given.
"Here you go, Cal,"
"Thank you…" the fire said before it shouted, "It's Calsefur, Goku!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know!" Goku said amiably whilst scratching his chin, "Well, I'm off now!"
