Author's Note: Hey! I finally finished up this chapter- sorry it took me longer than expected. I had to basically re-read my entire story and try to create a new plotline to tie up all the loose ends that I left. It's on the shorter side, but it should set the tone for the rest of the story and remaining chapters. I'm going to try my best to post a new chapter at least every other week, hopefully more frequently than that if possible. I work a lot, but my girlfriend has been reminding me to write so I'm sure I won't be able to go too long without posting another chapter. Enjoy and review!

Lauren's Apartment

Laying in bed with Lauren for almost three whole days was the closest she had ever felt to heaven, Bo thought to herself. Her eyes slowly opened to Lauren's bare back, as she studied her long blonde hair cascading over her shoulders. Bo took the back of her hand and ran it over the outline of Lauren's delicate figure. She began with her side, made her way down the crevasse of her back, and around the front to her toned and soft stomach. She began to make her way up to cup Lauren's tender breasts when she felt the blonde begin to stir. Lauren flipped her body over, the look of sleep in her eyes, and her gaze met Bo's. Bo knew her eyes were flashing blue for her mate, as they always did.

"You're just always ready to go aren't you?" Lauren laughed. "I guess that's what I get for choosing a succubus as my mate." She said with a yawn. "I told you. I'm always ready for you." Bo replied with a sly grin. She began to let her hands wander and the explore the beauty of the doctors naked body, when Lauren suddenly stopped her hand just as it approached her warm, wet center.

Bo frowned and gave the blonde a disappointed look. "Bo, I think we need to finally talk about it. We've been in bed for three days now. You are well fed, and I'm very satisfied myself." Bo sighed, knowing she wasn't going to get anymore from Lauren until she conceded to this "talk" with her mate. With a short sigh at the fact that she could not pleasure her for the sixth time that day she quietly replied, "I know I know, you're right." Lauren took her warm hands and placed them around the back of Bo's neck. Her hands tangled up in her hair, and looked deep into her eyes. "The things I feel for you...I have never felt in my lifetime. I love you so intensely. Not just emotionally but I can feel my physical body aching for you at all times. Scientifically speaking, even the idea that I could physically make a baby with another woman, that I love, is both overwhelming and exciting. And I want that more than anything." Bo smiled as she looked into her mate's eyes. Her mind wandered to years ahead, both of them raising that beautiful baby Bo saw a vision of during the trials.

"But what I really want first..." Lauren continued, ripping Bo out of her fantasy and back to the present, "Is to get our memories back. Find out how we soulbonded, and remember how we fell in love." Bo paused for a moment. How they fell in love...she knew she wanted to know too. Bo wanted to find out how this woman was the one she chose to soulbond with and become her mate. Grabbing her lover's hand in hers, she knew Lauren was right. It had been such a whirlwind of teh past few weeks, from discovering where her and Kenzi came from, to these feelings for Lauren that had been hidden away, to physically training and competing in the trials. Bo wanted to know more about their past too, in order to build their future together. Bo pulled her mates beautiful body towards her so the space between them shrunk to zero. She pressed her lips against Lauren's as she felt her heartbeat increase once again. She pulled back and looked into her lover's eyes "Okay. No more baby talk until we figure this whole thing out." She said while the blonde smiled back at her and she secretly wished they could just stay in that bed together for eternity.

Just as Lauren leaned in for a passionate kiss, her phone began to vibrating violently on the dresser next to her bed. Knowing who was calling and that she could not avoid this call any longer, Lauren grabbed her phone and swiftly placed it on her ear.
"Good Morning, Evony." she said with a sigh.

Evony's Apartment

"Just because we fuck does not mean you can blow me off for three days!" Evony yelled while sitting behind her desk with her arms firmly crossed. "Do you realize who I am? Do you understand that I am the head of the Dark in this region? I can't have my head doctor non-responsive to me for three days! Do you know what the elders would do to me if they found out my HUMAN doctor stopped adhering to my orders?"

"No, Evony! I have no fucking idea what they would do to you if a measly HUMAN doctor stopped responding to your every wish!" Lauren yelled sarcastically as she plopped herself onto the black chair in front of Evony's desk. "Why didn't you just send one of your meat head guards to my apartment to check up on me?"

"You know why I didn't send someone." Evony replied sternly.

"No, I actually don't." Lauren responded quickly. She didn't know why she was acting out like this against Evony. She knew they had a history, and perhaps at some point she considered them lovers, but she also knew her place in this world and she knew the consequences of anyone speaking to the Morrigan this way- especially a human. Lauren felt physically and mentally charged. She felt like she could do anything she wanted, like she could conquer anything that was thrown her way. She felt powerful.

"Oh, honey. Don't even try to act like you have any form of power." Evony laughed out. "My guards informed me that you were in your apartment with Bo the entire time. I can only hope that you were following through with our previous agreement. Do you have any updates on the Succubus?"

Lauren stalled while she tried to come up with an immediate answer. How could she had forgotten that Evony ordered her to spy on Bo! She had to come up with something viable. If she didn't, then Evony could find out that her and Bo are bonded. "There's really no new information. Bo came to my apartment with Kenzi for another injection. She's still trying to control her feeding..."

"It took you three days to give one injection?" Evony asked quizzically.

"Her body is very strong and defensive. It's already fighting off the injections. I had to run tests and come up with another form of the injection that her body wouldn't recognize and reject. I asked her to stay in the guest room while I ran tests and found a new formula." Lauren rattled out. "I didn't think it was wise to let an untrained, hungry Succubus on the loose in your territory."

"Mmm..." Evony moaned seductively. "You never cease to amaze me." she said as she walked around her desk to straddle Lauren on the chair. "Did she say anything important to you while she stayed at your apartment?"

"No, not really..." Lauren trailed off while she tried to think of an appropriate answer instead of the hot, wet kisses Evony was currently placing on her neck. "Her and Kenzi are still running their PI firm. There hasn't been any new cases in the recent days though..."

"That's probably because Dyson has a new partner and doesn't have extra time to babysit the Succubus." Evony mumbled out against Lauren's neck.

"New Partner?" Lauren asked quickly while stopping Evony's movements. "How did you even know Bo was..." just as Lauren was about to finish her sentence Evony's phone starting vibrating in her pocket. Evony quickly shoved her hand into her dress pants and took out her cell phone with ease, not bothering to get off Lauren. Evony stared at the caller ID with concern, which in turn caused Lauren to take a quick glance at the glowing screen.

"I'm sorry, honey. I have to take this, but we'll continue this conversation later." Evony said in an urgent tone while rushing out of her office. "The guards will see you out!"

With no surprise, two huge ogres walked into Evony's office and hoisted Lauren out of the chair, and proceeded to walk side by side with Lauren to the elevators. Once the doors opened she stepped in alone and let the sliding doors close in front of her.
"Who the hell is Rainer..." she whispered to herself thoughtfully.
