Sigrid stared at the window, watching Selvig work on the generator, the streets below, the unassuming pedistrians. She could feel her heart beat quicken at the thought of the chaos that would soon ensue and she smiled. She supposed the flight or fight reaction was gone. Now all she wanted to do was fight.

Earlier she had been sad. Earlier she had felt defeated. Who knew that this lack of remorse, this lack of conscious could be so freeing, so . . . powerful.

She'd be damned if she went back to being pitiful again.

She could hardly remember the old her, though. She remembered people, she remembered emotions but it was easier to cast them off now, they were meaningless.

"How much longer?" she asked, looking to Loki who stood beside her.

Loki smirked. "Are you eager, pet?"

"It's going to be beautiful. The panic, the distruction. . . . It's a shame your precious army will be out there having all of the fun."

"They'll be working. Preparing my kingdom."

"Sounds more fun than sitting in the ivory tower."

"You'll have your fun. They'll be looking for you, your friends, your Solider. You can join the fray then."

"I'm sure they won't be very excited to see me." Sigrid grinned. "What about this kingdom? Where do I fit?"

"I'll need a liaison between the Midgardians and myself, to make my demands and degrees known. You fit that description perfectly." Sigrid held her head high. She'd be an enforcer. People would cower at her feet . . . and how right they should. She was mighty, she was strong enough to be a goddess. Loki's long fingers wrapped around her wrist, turning her towards him. "That being said, we wouldn't want you to go into battle without the proper armor."

"Would you like a drink?" Tony asked, standing behind his bar. He pulled out the scotch and a couple of glasses. He was trying to get past the gall of Loki standing in his living room and focus. The Asgardian in front of him, Selvig on the balcony . . . all he was missing was a little fleeting fairy girl. Had Loki already sent her out to fight? Or worse. . . .

"Stalling me won't change anything," Loki told Tony, walking forward.

"No, no, no!" Tony replied. "Threatening. No drink? You sure? I'm having one."

"I'll take one too." Tony stopped before pouring to look up as a woman came strutting down the stairs. Not just any woman though. Tony raised his glass to her. "Tinkerbell."

She smirked at him. "Tony."

She looked different, Tony realized, and not just because she was wearing the same type of cosplay armor Reindeer Games was wearing, a silver breastplate with a green skirt that stopped mid-thigh and matching cape fastened to the straps on her shoulders. Tinkerbell's normal curls were stretched straight, the ends brushing her shoulders, a silver band resting around the top of her head. Her black boots clicked on the floor as she walked towards him, taking that offered drink. No, she looked different because this was definitely a more confident Tinkerbell than he remembered. The Glitch from the Helicarrier had been quiet and definitely quick to anger. This one was cool and collected and unfazed by the fact that she was lounging on Tony's sofa while an army of aliens threatened to pour from the sky. "How you feeling Tink? Any different?"

"I'm fantastic!" Glitch responded, throwing him a wide grin. "Please, ignore me, continue your little pow wow, I'm very entertained."

"As am I," Loki agreed, turning back to Tony. "The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?"

"The Avengers," Tony told him. "It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. Earth's Mightest Heros type of thing."

Loki chuckled. "Yes, I've met them."

"Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count here. Your brother, the demi-God; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath taking anger management issues; a master swordswoman, even if you do have her head a little warped right now; a couple of master assassins and you big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."

"That was the plan."

"Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you." Tony grabbed his bracelets from under the bar as well as a homing device.

"I have an army."

"We have a Hulk."

"I thought the beast had wandered off."

"You're missing the point. There's no throne, there is no version of this, where you come out on on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it."

"Hmm." Glitch set her drink down on the table, clapping her hands. "Nice speech, well done."

Loki walked forward, raising his scepter. "How will your friends have time for me, when they're so busy fighting you?"

He tapped the scepter against Tony's chest . . . and nothing.

Thank you good ol' electromagnetic chest plate.

Loki tried again, earning another ping. "It should work."

"Well performance issues. You know?" Tony clinched up as Loki grabbed him around the throat and threw him across the room. Behind them, Glitch had hopped to her feet, looking incredibly excited. "Jarvis. Anytime now."

Loki gripped up Tony by the throat again. "You will all fall before me."

And then the Asgardian tossed Toni out of the window..

Sigrid hopped up from her seat, her face alight with excitement. She ran to the window as Iron Man flew back up in sight. "And there's one other person you pissed off! His name is Phil!"

Iron Man raised his arm and fired off a shot that hit Loki in the chest and sent him flying backwards. Iron Man turned to face Sigrid. "There's a guy out there looking for you, Tink. He's real worried."

Sigrid grinned. "I'll find him eventually."

With that Tony flew off, just as the Tessaract shot a beam of energy into the sky, unleashing the Army.
