"I dunno, Sandy. We just always end up fighting over nothing. Maybe Bunny's just pretending to like me so he doesn't get in trouble with you guys, you know?" Jack sighed and looked at the sandman, who made a tsking face and shook his head. He pat Jack's hair and made the image of a bunny, then Jack's shepherd crook then pointed to Jack's arms. "I'm a sprite, Sandy. I heal quick. There was no reason for him to be so worried." Sandy made an image of a leaf the slowly spun, then sped up and turned into a scary looking tornado. "Mother Nature is pretty badass, but she isn't mean!"

"I am glad that someone thinks so." Jack jumped about a foot, and Sandy spun around with a smile and a slight bow, waving. "Hello, Sandman." The cool voice, gentle and sweet belonged to a woman of great beauty and elegance, dressed in an emerald gown that shimmered between different shades of green. Her long black hair was a cascade of waves that nearly fell to the floor and her eyes were the gold of sunflowers. "Little Jack," she smiled fondly and ruffled her hand through his hair, and he smiled like a child happy to be acknowledged by a long absent mother. "You were injured by my Ents, yesterday. I apologize. I suppose I haven't told -all- of them that you are welcome in my realm. The snow drops are freshly bloomed, I would like your opinion." She smiled again sweetly, holding out and elegant hand.

"Sure thing, Mother~!" Jack smiled and allowed her to help him up, which took no effort as he floated up like the snowflake he was. He hugged Sandy quickly, who laughed and patted his back fondly. Jack chittered and chatted happily as he accompanied Mother Nature to a distant field. There, the grass was emerald and elegant stems swayed with beads of white dangling like bells. Amid the green and white, deep blue specks of forget-me-nots peeked out shyly. Jack was suddenly reminded of the grey-blue of Aster's markings, and sighed.

Mother Nature smiled softly and pet his hair. "Summer is close. Sleep, little Jack, and rest your heart. All should be well when you awake." He smiled up at her and nodded, grinning happily when she sat down next to him, a ripple of grass growing out around her in a nest of softness, some strands longer and curving over Jack as he curled up on his side. The area around him quickly frosted and the longer blades seemed to weave into a blanket of ice. With a sigh he fell asleep to the feel of "Mother's" hand petting his hair.

And he dreamed.

He was warm. Way too warm. But he liked it. Loved it. Hands... no, -paws-, traced up and down his sides, his back, under his shoulders as he laid on his belly. He made a soft sound as he felt something wet and hot slick up his back, making him writhe and shiver. That same sensation pressed into his neck and he outright mewed. Rolling onto his back, he smiled at Aster, who grinned down at him with those dilated eyes and panting mouth.

These dreams would continue. Jack's thoughts?

Can this never end?

I know. I know. Didnt really revolve around the theme. But I like it.
