Charon's forces burst through the wall. Bullets whizzed by Tucker's head. Doc launched a rocket into the doorway. The entire scene was absolute chaos. For a split second, Tucker had no idea what was going on.
A cool, collected voice suddenly spoke, "Move right." Tucker instinctually moved right, where the breached door was now sliding, providing Tucker some cover.
Another voice, this time very childlike, "Climb over and get the first guy on the right." Tucker obeyed the high pitched voice. He couldn't explain it, but he rather enjoyed this one; it reminded him of Junior.
Sarge fired a few shots in while Grif launched grenades from the Grifshot. Tucker stabbed the first guard he saw with his sword. He heard Donut shriek, but the aqua soldier remained focused on killing his enemies.
"Uppercut to your right," said another voice, this one monotone and robotic.
"Kick to your left," ordered another, this voice angry and aggressive.
Lopez exclaimed something in Spanish while firing his two weapons. Donut finally gained his courage and tossed a grenade to the back.
New strength surged through him as he swished at another guard. Needles from Simmons missed him by inches as they burrowed into the other guards. The Reds and Blues followed behind Tucker as he led the charge. The Meta suit was powerful and he sliced his sword through many of Charon's soldiers.
He sped over to another grey-clad soldier. "Punch down, then the side," said the calm one again. Tucker obeyed and the Charon soldier collapsed.
"Duck!" exclaimed the child. Tucker ducked and followed with a sweeping kick. Another one of Doc's rockets accelerated above him.
"Leaping motion sixty degrees to your right," said the calm one. Tucker jumped and flipped over the soldier, then shoved his sword into the enemies back.
A solid five minutes passed when he stopped. Tucker stood up straight, noticing the Blood Gulch crew was all alive and unscathed. Simmons and Grif high fived each other while Donut danced in glee. O'Malley laughed and he and Sarge both yelled triumphantly over the deaths of their enemies.
"Church! We did it!" said Tucker into the suit. Church had helped Tucker fight all of their enemies and he wanted to say thanks to his friend.
No voice answered.
"Church?" asked Tucker. No reply. The Reds and Blues looked over at Tucker worriedly. Caboose approached Tucker nervously.
Then a voice spoke into Tucker's ear. It wasn't Church. It wasn't the calm one or the childlike one. It wasn't angry, nor robotic. It was…sinister. A single, ominous voice whispered to Tucker like a small flame.
"Hello, Tucker," said the Sigma fragment.
