He felt his heart trying to escape his chest, sending sharp pain up his arm and neck. For a moment his head burned as if a fuse had been blown, and he could feel his pulse through his entire body. His reflexes started acting by pulling each tube away from his body, every needle, every bandage, which made he pain unbearable.

"Robin STOP IT!" He felt his arms being detained as he kept fighting. His view still wasn't clear, so he fought with eyes closed.

Cold hands cupped his face and ordered him to stay still. Soon enough he stopped fighting and dropped his arms to his sides, feeling as hey were quickly re bandaged. He's breathing normalized and he sat still, his eyes were kept shut.

Not a word was spoken. The air felt heavy with anticipation ad he opened his eyes and blinked quickly.

Star was holding his face, looking worriedly at him. Behind him Beast boy peeked and Cyborg stood at the door. Raven let his now bandaged arm go and stepped back.

"You're back" She said simply.

"How much time was it again?" Robin sat shirtless, maskless, only wearing his signature black tights and a bandage around his arm, exactly where a needle was pulled causing a bloody fountain at the moment he woke up.

"A month, almost two." Raven said standing by his bed.

"THE longest month or so" Cyborg emphasized. "You had us really worried back there Rob"

"Was I badly injured?" Robin asked.

"The injury wasn't the bad part." Starfire chimed in. "The aftershock was. It made your vital signs drop incredibly fast. Your skin was so pale and cold and your breathing stopped from time to time." Her joy had left her voice, making it stern and serious. "It was truly a worrying situation"

"All in all, we're just glad you woke up before it got any worse." Beast boy said.

Robin sat in silent, feeling every eye on the room on him. He bit his lip and sighed.

"What happened?" He asked finally.

His team looked around, hesitant.

"You had a bad fall, and it caused a severe head injury. It was a good thing your brain wasn't badly damaged, but it still kept you unconscious for a lot of time" Cyborg said.

"Raven, do you think I'll have any problems going on normally?" He asked looking at the floor.

"You shouldn't worry. It's not considered a very long time in comparison with a lot of other people, but you will still need some help. You haven't moved from that bed in a month." She answered.

Robin immediately looked at his feet. Bare and cold, he wiggled his toes. He felt as if they had been asleep, and they were still trying to wake up right after the rest of his body.

"Good." Robin smiled finally with relief. "I'm just glad I am back home."

Star stood up and embraced him in a tight hug, and soon enough every other team member did.

Robin felt peace inside of him. He almost died trying to come back but, it was well worth it. Still he couldn't help but wonder what he had left behind while he was asleep.

"I'll get you something to eat, I think you might be tired of having liquids being put into your stomach." Cyborg went for the door.

Robin cringed at the information but nodded. "I guess I am."

"So dude, did you feel time pass at all?" Beast boy's curious self questioned him.

"Yes and no." Robin answered. "Actually, I spent the whole time 'dreaming'" He made air quotes around the word dreaming, putting into consideration if it was actually a real thing.

"That is normal. Brain activity hasn't actually stopped during a coma, its alertness is just in a very low level, which sometimes results in very lucid dreams that the person may feel. Sometimes they have to do with their surroundings and inner desires." Raven lowered her hood.

"So what? Were you back in Gotham?" Beast boy joked.

Robin couldn't help but chuckle at the memory. "I wish it would have been that simple."

"So what happened then?" Starfire sat down as a kid waiting for her bed time story.

Cyborg came in with a bowl full of hot soup.

"I am surprised you didn't bring any pizza." Robin raised an eyebrow.

"Right now you are practically re born. Your body needs to get used to eating solids little by little, so get ready for some good ol' chicken noodle soup." He placed the bowl on his lap and sat down next to Star.

As he ate he began telling his team what had happened, in vivid detail without missing anything out. He didn't actually think it had to do with any of his inner desires at all, so the whole thing just sounded like a teenage soap opera.

As a good writer, I did my research because in movies you often see people waking up from comas and doing backflips the minute after when you actually need to adapt to everything again.

I can see some people have already noticed I updated, YAY! Hopefully the Teen Titans tag will gain back its traffic, because I am pretty sure I've read all of the ff's already :(

Anyway R&R please, it is deeply appreciated!
