A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for not posting for awhile. Life's been keeping me plenty busy. This chapter is a bit more of a filler between the action.

The TARDIS shook and rattled about as the Doctor managed to navigate it back into the future. He pulled the hand lever, cranked a big dial, and finally flipped the master lever before the TARDIS finally landed. The Doctor ran up to the doors, and yanked them open to find himself i the middle of a grassy plain. "Now where'd you take me?" He said, stroking the side of the TARDIS affectionately. He stepped out of the TARDIS, and as he did, a faint jet sound was heard in the distance. Curious, the Doctor squinted and stared off into the direction of the sound, until a figure of a man riding a… skateboard came into view.

Death the Kid, Liz, and Patty had been looking around the area on Beelzebub for quite some time. Death had rolled his eyes in disdain when he noticed a suspicious man standing next to a blue box down below.

"That was not there before." said Liz from Kid's right hand.

"Let's go and see." Kid kicked on the heel of the board, and the three of them began to descend. Shortly thereafter, Kid had pulled up alongside the man hand his box. The man stared at Kid like he had three heads.

"Sorry. How did you—"

"Fly on a skateboard?" Kid responded.

"No, not that. How did you get your hair in three stripes like that? That's marvelous!"

At this comment, Kid fell at the man's feet, holding his head and mumbling, "Asymmetrical… garbage…"

"Uh, are you alright?" The Doctor bent down over kid.

"He'll be fine." Liz said as she jumped out of Kid's hand. "It's just this addiction to symmetry he's got."

"Symmetry, huh…" The Doctor straightened up and brushed off his suit. Better not let him into the TARDIS then… he thought.

As Kid convulsed on the ground, Liz just groaned. "Patty, straighten him out."

"Got it!" Patty jumped out of Kid's hand, and bent over to his ear. She whispered some unintelligible message, and as soon as she did, Kid's eyes snapped open, and he was up on his feet.

"I'm okay now." Kid dusted himself off, and faced the Doctor. "My name is Death the Kid. I'm a reaper and the son of Lord Death. These are my two weapons, Liz and Patty." The Doctor smiled at the two ladies. "We were tasked to come here to escort you back to Death City."

"Oh, well that's all fine and good then, but I don't really need escorting…" The Doctor stepped towards the TARDIS.

"Even so," Kid took a step towards the Doctor, "We were told to take you back to Death City."

"Without my TARDIS?" The Doctor placed a hand on the box now beside him. "I can't just leave her."

"We could… erm…" Kid's voice trailed off as he stared at the box.

"Problem?" The Doctor asked.

"So…. asymmetrical…" Kid began to convulse into another fit.

"How about this: You fly back to Death City, and I'll follow behind?"

"How?" Liz asked. "You can't run that fast, can you?"

"Unless your blue box can fly!" Patty stretched out her arms like wings and made airplane sounds.

The Doctor smiled. "You have no Idea!"

Black Star paced back and forth in the Death Room nervously as Tsubaki tried desperately to calm him down. "He's not gonna outshine you!" She kept repeating.

"No way he isn't!" Black Star yelled. " 'Cuz I'm gonna be the man to surpass God!"

"So why are you so nervous?"

"Something about him makes me… unsettled. My ninja senses are telling me so."

"Ninja senses?" Tsubaki asked.

"Point is, he's dangerous to me. And any dangers to the star have to be—"

"Exterminated?" The Doctor walked up from behind him. "I've been there before, kid."

"Don't call me kid!" Black Star tensed as The Doctor made his way closer.

"Surpass God, huh?" The Doctor stared off as if he was reminiscing. "You've got a long way to go, believe me."

"How would yo know?" Black Star glared at him.

"Because I've seen both heaven and hell." The Doctor's looked Black Star directly in the eyes, his face solemn and rigid. "I've seen gods and demons. I've seen forces you wouldn't believe ever existed. And I've made monsters of my own."

"H-how?" Black Star asked, intrigued at the Doctor's statements.

"Because I am one." The Doctor looked on the verge of tears. "I had to kill my whole race to save them." He sat down next to a cross-shaped gravestone.

Black Star stared at the floor, partly in confusion and partly in sadness. "Sorry."

"It's okay, Doctor." Tsubaki's voice was tender towards the Doctor. "Some things just happen."

"Believe me, I know that better than anyone else." The Doctor grew a short, knowing smile on his face.

"Well, if we were meant to change our past, we might accidentally change ourselves in the process."

The Doctor had looked at Tsubaki in disbelief. "Where did you—"

Boom!

The Death Room shook briefly, followed by panicked sounds coming from outside.

"What was that?!" Black Star stumbled backwards briefly.

"Trouble." The Doctor glanced at Black Star, who gave an affirming nod, and ran towards the door. "Allons-y!"
