Chapter 7

"What makes you so interested in that book Soul?"

Thanks to that little red demon, Soul was back in the Black Room (I know we don't see him after Soul ate him that one time, but I wanted to add him because I like his character. Plus I like the Black Room parts for whatever reason). While ignoring the demon, Soul was still reading the book Romeo and Juliet, the book Marceline lent him earlier that day.

"Hey can you hear me!?"

Soul flipped another page as the demon stared at the cover. "Romeo and Juliet?" He asked in disgust while raising an eyebrow.

"It's actually a good book if you would read it." Soul replied, not looking from the book. He almost didn't notice the demon trying to drop a small bug on the page before he slammed the book shut and moved it away. "Dude I was reading that!" He yelled.

"Finally I have your attention." The Demon replied. "Good God you're a heavy reader." The two heard the door open and turned around, thinking it was Maka, but it turned out to be Marceline. "What the-" They both said.

"Soul!?" Marceline asked as she stepped into the room. "Where the hell am I?"

"Uh in my mind."

"Wha? And who is the demon?"

"Well-"

"Do you want me to eat you again?" Soul asked the demon. "I could just shrink you and it would be easy." The little demon stepped away a bit from the albino, and never spoke another word(I know he's actually called an ogre, but in the dubbed version of the anime, Soul calls him a demon so I'm used to that name). "If you're in my mind, that means our souls are resonating."

"It must have started when I gave you that book." She and Soul stared at the book on the small table. Apparently, the demon spotted it as well. "Tell me girl." he said. "Why do you love that pitiful excuse for a book anyway?" Now Marceline looked like she wanted to punch him. No, he made her want to punch him. Instead of punching him, she answered "It reminds me of myself and my brother Kid."

"Lies."

"What!?"

"Since your souls are resonating, I can tell what each of your souls are thinking. And what you just said isn't the truth. You're hiding something." Marceline took a step back.

"Marci."

She turned to a stern-looking Soul. "Is there something you're not telling us?" He asked. "Or is it that you don't trust us enough to tell us." She started to walk away, but he grabbed her arm. "Please tell me." He said. "I won't tell anyone, not even Maka." Marceline was about to yank his hand away, before she turned and hugged him. "Forget about it okay?" She asked.

"But-"

"Please Soul." Marceline tightened her hold. "I'll tell you when the time comes. Until then, forget it." The weapon sighed before nodding. The female reaper let go of him and walked away.

Soul's eyes snapped open as he looked around and saw that he was back in his room. "I must have fallen asleep." He muttered, then realizing that Romeo and Juliet was still in his hand. He felt something tighten around his waist and saw Maka asleep beside him. Soul remembered that he was reading the book to her until she fell asleep. "Don't leave me Soul." She muttered.

Soul never realized how much his meister cared for him(Soul you must be blind or something), so he laid down next to her, and kissed her cheek. "I'm not going anywhere." He muttered before falling asleep.

A few days later, schools opened back up again and at the DWMA, half of the students didn't show up. "I guess that they didn't want vacation to be over." Maka said as she looked around and didn't see Killik, Fire, Thunder, Kim, and Jacqueline.

"Hey Maka." Liz said. "Why don't you and Tsubaki stay the night at the mansion?"

"Yeah girls' night." Patty said.

"Wait what!?" Kid exclaimed as he stood up. "You never told me."

"It's a girl secret Kid." Marceline said. "Didn't you know? So what do you say?"

"I guess I can since Blackstar is training in the mountains." Tsubaki said. Maka turned to her partner. "Can you survive a night without me?" She asked.

"If it was a week, I don't know what I'd do." Soul replied, telling Maka that he'd be okay. "Then it's settled." Liz said. "You know, Kid can join us because it's his house."

"Wait he's an exception?" Soul asked. "What about me?"

"Kid owns the mansion." Marceline replied. "That's why Liz said he could come. He already lives there."

"That explains alot." Tsubaki said. "So after class, we're going over to your place?"

"Yeah." Patty said. "And then I can show you my giraffe collection." Everyone froze. "That's great Patty." Maka said while breaking the silence.

After school, Kid, Marceline, Liz, and Patty headed home so they could clean up for Maka and Tsubaki's arrival that night. Liz walked down a hallway and saw a picture of Marceline, Kid, and another boy when they were little. Liz wondered who that boy was until she thought that it was an old friend of theirs, and walked away.

That night, they heard a knock on the door and knew it was Maka and Tsubaki. The two walked in and said "Thanks for having us."

"Anything for a friend." Marceline said as she, the two guests, and Kid made their way to the living room. On the way there, Maka stared at the wall and saw the picture Liz saw. "Who's that boy?" Maka asked. "He looks alot like Kid." The two reapers stared at the picture she and Tsubaki were looking at. "That's our brother." Kid said. "His name was Marshall Lee."

"WHAT!?"

Liz and Patty raced out of their room after hearing what Kid said. "How many siblings are you hiding from us!?" Liz asked her meister.

"Trust me, the only siblings I have are Marci and him." Kid replied. "Or else Dad didn't tell us that he split his soul into more pieces."(I think that's how Kid was born.) Maka stared at the picture. "Where is he anyway?" She asked. "If you guys don't wanna tell us, that's okay."

"We don't mind." Tsubaki said. They made their way to the living room. Maka, Tsubaki, Liz, and Patty sat on a couch across from Kid and Marceline. "You really wanna know?" She asked.

"If you're willing to tell us." Liz said. Marceline took a breath. "Like Kid said, there are actually three of us: Him being the oldest, Marshall was the middle child, and I was the youngest."

"The three of us have been together since birth and we never left each others' sides." Kid said. "Until one night we were on our way home, we met this woman dressed in a robe."

"She asked us who we were and we said that we were the children of Death." Marceline continued. "Daddy told us to never lie so we didn't. We, being the senseless nine years old we were, followed her to a dark alleyway. That's when she started to attack us."

"Since we didn't know how to fight, we thought we were dead." Kid said. "And then we found out that the woman turned out to be a witch who had a grudge on Dad for a long time. She almost killed me and Marci until Marshall took the blow for us." They heard a gasp from Maka as she leaned back. "Only when you were nine?" She asked.

Marceline nodded as she stared at the floor. "She even destroyed his soul. It was awful. She was about to kill us until Daddy stepped in and she ran away."

"And who was the witch?" Tsubaki asked. Both reaper siblings said together

"Medusa."

Me: Hi guys. Yes I know that you guys know who Marshall Lee is. If Marceline is my favorite female Adventure Time character, then he's my favorite male. Now I don't watch Adventure Time that much, I only watch the episodes with Marceline and that little Fiona and Cake special with her gender bender. Stay tuned.
