She felt like a trapped animal. That's all Clary could think as she stood up, forcing her legs not to shake. Sebastian rose with her, his pale lips split into a devilish grin. Clary fought the urge to vomit all over his expensive looking shoes. She watched him walk to the door and stop. Turning around his gaze made the slow crawl from her toes to the tip of her head. Nausea rose again. "Are you coming?" He asked. She had no choice but to follow. So, one step at a time, she forced her feet forward. She followed him through the doorway, making sure to take in every detail of her surroundings. The hallway was dimly lit, the walls bare, save for two swords and a tapestry with a family crest sewn into it. Clary stared at the large V sewn into the fabric. She slowed to a halt as she finally recognized where she had seen it before. She turned to Sebastian. "This is the Verlac family crest." She pointed to it. "This is their house, isn't it?" She said, lowering her arm to her side. He turned back around and continued walking, saying nothing. Stunned, and more than a little bit disturbed, Clary followed after him.

Isabelle looked around the room, and seeing more than a few confused faces, she turned to Jace. "Um, explanation, please?"
Jace just turned on his heel and walked out the door. Isabelle shook her head, following after him. She was so going to smack him for that later.

It all made sense now. Venice was the center of practically everything. Before Clary had shown up, Sebastian had taken Jace to this tavern. To the mundane eye, it looked like a cheap establishment, barely able to stay open. But under that, it held one of the biggest demon weapon chains in Europe. Jace would bet everything that's where he had taken Clary.
Jace trudged up the stairs, stopping at the door. He banged against the door, waiting. Magnus Bane opened the door, smelling strongly of vodka. He glared at Jace. "Go away." Jace stuck his foot in the door, stopping it before it closed all the way. "No. I have no idea what happened between you and Alec, and I don't care to right now. Sebastian took Clary, and I think I know there she is, but I need your help to get to her. You still care about her, don't you?"
The warlock's eyes burned. "Of course I still care about her. And that's the only reason I'll help you."
Jace put a stern look on his face. "Good. Now here's what I know."
Sebastian started babbling on about something, Clary didn't much care what. As he rounded a corner, she bent down, pulling a jagged shard of glass out of her boot and straightens, following after him. She hid the weapon behind her back, forcing her heart to slow down its frantic beats. Clary didn't care if something happened to her.
Only one person was walking out of here today.
