"Is there a particular dress code?" Nines queried as Reed buttoned a black shirt, opting for a pair of dark jeans to wear with it. It was New Year's Eve, and the DPD was having their annual party at the Dukes nightclub in town. They didn't hire it out or anything, just let the club know they were coming, so the bar had extra stock. It was the same thing every year, so the club had been expecting the call. They'd turn up at seven to kick things off slowly, giving the older staff the chance to sip a few drinks and make merry before gradually sneaking off. As things started to liven up, they'd generally wish the younger staff a Happy New Year and slink away to Jimmy's for a quieter evening. Reed was almost disappointed that he was still counted as the younger crew, so he'd be stuck in the club with the pounding music and Tina dragging him around from pillar to post until at least midnight. Usually four or five in the morning.

"Not really, most people dress smart-but-casual…You know, a nice shirt and slacks or whatever." Reed ran a hand over his neat stubble thoughtfully, examining himself in the vanity mirror. He'd only trimmed it that morning, so it was good enough for a night of drinking. "Anyway, get dressed. You'll have a great time…Probably…" he added thoughtfully, unsure whether clubbing would really be Nines' scene. It wasn't really even his scene anymore. He probably wouldn't go if not for Tina nagging him about it via text. She'd complained multiple times that she'd been dumped by him and he was spending all of his time with Nines. He sort of felt bad because it was pretty much true. He hadn't had a night out with Tina since around the time Nines started working with him, not since that one time with Aaron and the others. Even then, he'd sat opposite Nines and barely talked to her.

"I'm sure it will be…eventful," Nines agreed almost reluctantly, slipping into a dark turtleneck and slacks. Chloe and Elijah were heading to The Maple Hotel, having been invited by Joanna to the party there. Reed would have gone with them if not for the DPD event. Is it sad that I'd much rather just stay in and lie on the sofa with Pips and a dumb movie? Shit, I'm getting old…Nines drove them there in Reed's car. He wasn't planning on drinking and even if he did, the alcohol wouldn't affect his systems. Elijah hadn't quite found the right balance yet.

"Gavin! Gavin! Gav-Gav-Gav-Gav!" Tina squealed over the pulsing music as they entered the still fairly empty club. So far it was only staff from the DPD inside. Regular folks would probably start turning up later. Reed accepted the tight embrace as Tina clung to his neck and squeaked in his ear. She was light as a feather as she lifted her feet, clinging to him gleefully. Judging by her pitch, he assumed she was about five drinks in at this point. Luckily, Miller was there too, laughing affectionately as he peeled her off. It seemed he was pacing himself and keeping an eye on things for now. "It's been ages! You need to try one of these!" Tina insisted as she pushed her own drink into his hand.

"What is it?" Reed asked warily as he sniffed it. It smelled sweet and there were three different colours in it. It was pretty, like a sunset. Nines was also looking at it curiously, accepting the glass as Reed offered it. His LED pulsed red as he sipped and drew back, looking at the beverage as if it had offended him somehow. Reed laughed, wishing he had camera eyes like Nines so he could record the look of sheer disgust and befuddlement. He'd never actually seen Nines look like that before. "Too sweet?" he asked teasingly as Nines stared at the coloured layers, his LED spinning yellow as he analysed.

"The amount of alcohol in this beverage is truly alarming. You should not consume it," Nines warned as Reed took back the glass. He snorted in response as he took a sip himself. There was a little burn on his tongue. It didn't seem overly strong, but it's a cocktail. It's probably hidden under all the juice. He led the way to the bar, where he lounged beside Tina and signalled for two more. The bartender was human and fixed their drinks without using measures before pausing across from Nines. "Uh, thirium?" The young man waving obligingly towards a row of blue bottles. Nines left it up to the barman to decide. The drinks were already paid for by the DPD, so they didn't need to worry about prices. Explains why Tina's so phcking tipsy.

The evening started out well. Connor and Hank arrived, having left Niles with one of Chloe's doppelgangers for the evening. They were planning on being home by eleven so that they could spend the final hour with Niles and Sumo. Niles was excited, relishing the fact that Connor was allowing him to stay up watching movies so late. Hank and Reed talked over his case for a while. Uniform had picked up Zachary Thomas the day before, but he'd had to be hospitalised due to thirium poisoning. He'd probably be ready for interrogation in a couple of days, but until then he was being guarded by uniform around the clock. It had been touch and go for a while on whether he'd even make it. He'd been found stumbling around near his apartment, clearly high on the pure thirium in his system.

They were eventually interrupted by Tina, who insisted on them dancing, even dragging Hank with them to the large floor. He was quite insistent that he only dance for one song, swaying and waving his arms awkwardly. Nines and Connor were really no better at first as they watched the humans around them for leads on what to do. Reed assumed they eventually downloaded a program since they were soon by far the best dancers with the most sinful hips. Stacey and the other reception girls soon arrived and peeled Tina off into their own group for a while. Fowler and Collins arrived and good-naturedly greeted everyone, making a secret pact with Hank that they would be out of there and into Jimmy's by nine.

"Are you coming with us old guys or staying with the young ones?" Collins asked kindly as he stood beside Connor. It was a difficult choice. Connor very much wanted to spend some time with Nines, but he also wanted to stay by Hank's side. Seeing his conflict, Hank insisted that he stay with Nines and that he would return at ten forty-five to pick him up. Since that was the case, Connor spent the first part of his evening glued to Hank's side, leaving Nines to follow Reed around like a lost puppy as he was dragged from pillar to post.

Forensics arrived and Reed greeted Haley and Brad, somehow unsurprised to see their fingers entwined. Since they didn't have an overly dangerous job, there were no fraternisation rules for their department. They chatted for a while, though they didn't have much to talk about besides work. Tina was soon dragging him off to dance again, pushing another sinfully fruity drink into his hand. Nines followed along, dancing with them and standing by as they spoke in slurred voices. Miller seemed to be the sensible one of the group, eventually prying drinks out of Tina's hand and passing them off to other people. Tina would pout and complain before forgetting what she was complaining about and clinging to Reed again until the next time she got her hands on a full glass.

Connor joined them once Hank left. Hank had tugged them each into a bear hug and wished them a Happy New Year before he slinked off to Jimmy's for a few quiet ones with Collins and Fowler. It was somehow more fun once Connor joined them. Nines was more relaxed with his brother in the mix, and he was even invited along when Stacey asked if Connor wanted to join the android staff for a while. Reed gave him a shove of encouragement, insisting he'd be fine with Tina and the others. There was quite a crowd of officers now, and since Reed was more relaxed these days, he was actually welcome in the group.

He was enjoying himself, dancing with Tina and the others, chatting with Miller, and imparting drunken wisdom to a few of the rookies. He was all smiles and laughter as he drank way more than he should. He was getting handed so many drinks he'd lost track of who they were from. Reed winced as he pressed a hand against his forehead sometime later. His vision was unsteady, like it was echoing. It felt like his eyes were a few seconds behind his head. Phck! I feel like I'm floating! He stumbled, gratefully wrapping his arm across the strong shoulders that steadied him. He tried to focus on the figure, just barely catching a blue LED. Nines? Connor? He leaned into the support with a sigh, somehow feeling quite woozy. What the phck? I can't…

The arm around him tightened. Wrong…It was wrong. It felt wrong. The shoulder. It was too…too something…Gavin pinched his brow, squinting as he tried to focus through the press of bodies and blinding lights. His head felt strange. It was cottony. He wasn't exactly dizzy, but he could almost feel the room turning. He felt his feet moving. He was being led somewhere. The sound inside was too loud to let him hear whatever his companion was saying. He turned his head and tried to focus again, picking out an unfamiliar face with brunette hair. It was too dark to make out much else as they stumbled through the crowd.

The press of bodies finally lessened as he followed the steady urging to walk. They were heading towards the side door. The alley…air…That's probably a good idea…Phck! I can barely…His thoughts were pushed out of his head as the cold air hit him. He'd left his jacket in the car. Bitter cold was biting his skin through his thin cotton shirt. He followed the hands on his arms as he was eased back against the brickwork. He shook his head again, barely able to focus on the face. Do I know this guy? He had no idea. He looked sort of familiar. LED…

"You really shouldn't just accept any drink you're handed, Detective…It can get you into all sorts of trouble," the android teased in a familiar tone as he crowded into Gavin's space. It wasn't Connor or Nines. The voice was too high, but he knew the voice. He groaned and shook his head in objection as the alley span. Strong hands kept him pinned against the rough stone. Police-bot! His eyes widened at the realisation. He'd been surrounded by the fucking things for over a year before Connor had appeared. Part human, part obviously armoured machine. Their black casing had been left partially visible around the neck, likely saving on costs. "You never know who might…take advantage." The android almost chuckled as Gavin struggled weakly in his grasp.

Gavin writhed against the body that pressed so close to his own. It was that same warm-but-not-warm that Nines gave off. He was surprised to note that the android had clearly had upgrades since the revolution. The black armoured shell was gone, now hidden by clean, pale flesh. The only way he could tell he was an android was the LED he'd kept. It was still spinning blue. The android apparently found it quite easy to keep up with his disoriented attempts to throw him off. Gavin turned his head as the android leaned in, but he seemed more than content to settle for his pale throat instead of his lips.

Gavin still couldn't figure out what was going on through the haze in his head. He knew this was bad…for some reason. He couldn't quite remember why. The attention felt nice. His green eyes closed, body twitching as soft lips pressed against his pale skin, hot and urgent as they sucked and nibbled the tender flesh. Gavin let out a small sound as the skin stung, a red mark forming on the surface. There was a chuckle against his ear as teeth nipped his lobe almost cruelly. He shivered as a warm tongue flicked out to tease the shell of his ear, a sigh escaping as he leaned away.

"Just relax, Detective. I'll make it good for you…just how you like it." The soft rumbling and the press of warm flesh made Gavin quiver. Why is this a bad idea again? There's…definitely something…"Shh…That's it…" the android praised in sweet tones, feeling Gavin's body gradually relaxing into his hold. Gavin leaned back against the stone, his skin warm and tingling despite the cold as the android pressed against him. He barely noticed that his shirt had been tugged open, allowing eager fingers to tease and press his flesh. No wait, I was…supposed to…be somewhere…

His thoughts wouldn't clear, especially as teasing fingers pulled and twisted his nipples. A moan escaped as his mouth opened, allowing the android to claim his lips. They were surprisingly soft. Gavin flinched a little as teeth nipped his bottom lip and dragged along his tongue. He couldn't help leaning into it, chasing the contact as a hand finally slipped down to paw at the bulge between his legs. The hand squeezed and stroked firmly, rubbing and pinching as it felt the fleshy shaft spring to life. Gavin jerked into the touch, grinding lazily as he leaned his head on the android's shoulder.

"Who would have thought…Detective Gavin Reed, well-known AAL associate and hater of androids, secretly desperate for an android cock." The android was clearly amused as he eased his head back to take in his almost vacant expression. Gavin could barely make out the words through the fog in his head. The android scoffed lightly as he stroked his stubbled cheek, dirty green eyes fluttering at the contact. "You used to call me plastic trashplastic asshole…Used to say you'd like to put the lot of us in the recycling can or set us on fire…but look at you now…" He gently ran his hand up and down Gavin's clothed shaft with each pause.

Gavin shivered at the contact, gasping and whining as he ground into the firm hand. He let out a distressed sound as the stroking stopped. The android chuckled in amusement as he pressed Gavin against the wall and held him there. They were about the same height. He didn't have to look up to meet his eyes, but he still couldn't seem to focus on anything. He sighed, confused as a hand cupped his cheek. He automatically opened his mouth as a thumb pressed against his lips. He was working on autopilot as he sucked the digit in, swallowing as it pressed inside.

"Did you think I'd make it so easy? I think you owe me an apology, Detective…and I want you to work for it." Gavin blindly followed the pressure on his shoulder as he was lowered to his knees. A strong hand wound in his hair, tilting his head back to look down at him. Gavin groaned as he was bent further back, trapped between the android and the rough brick wall. "Open up, Detective…I had this component fitted specifically to fuck humans…I have to admit, I didn't think you'd be my first," the android continued, pressing the tip of his swollen shaft against Gavin's lips.

He opened almost on reflex. His body was well acquainted with what it was supposed to do in this position. Gavin closed his eyes and almost sighed around the blockage, reaching up to grip the android's strong hips. They were harder than they should be. The texture was almost rubbery. That wasn't what it was supposed to feel like. Gavin frowned a little as he tried to draw back, grunting as the hand in his hair tightened and tugged him forward. Gavin pulled back, panicking a little as the hand kept him there. The length in his throat slammed forward, choking him as it hit his gag reflex and pressed through. He couldn't breathe. Gavin floundered and struggled, choking around the shaft as the android rocked his hips roughly.

"That's it, choke on it! Filthy meat-beating flesh-bucket!" A second hand came up to support Gavin's jaw as he continued to rock relentlessly. Gavin's mouth was trapped open, drool dripping down his chin as the android continued to use his throat as he pleased. Gavin felt lightheaded, unable to take a breath around the blockage. He thought he was going to be sick by the time that android finally drew back. He coughed and spluttered as the android looked down at him smugly. "You're so good at sucking cock. Maybe you should have made a living out of it," the android teased as he gripped his arm and pulled him up roughly.

Gavin let out a grunt as he was dragged up and slammed against the wall. His temple scraped the stone as he was turned and shoved against it. The hand returned to his hair, gripping tightly and holding him there. He was vaguely aware of the sting on his skin as it dragged across the rough surface, as well as the loosening of his jeans as they were tugged down. He whined almost helplessly, trying to twist and wriggle out of the hold as his legs were knocked apart and a hand greedily squeezed his bare ass. Despite the rough treatment, his body was still interested. He twitched as his dripping tip touched the cold stone, hips jerking back against the pelvis grinding into him.

"Say please and I'll loosen you up a little first…though I wouldn't mind just forcing in…It would be the least you deserved." The hand on Reed's rump reached around to grasp his hardened shaft. The android almost chuckled at the way Gavin dazedly rocked into the touch. He rested his head on his shoulder, enjoying the flushed heat of his skin and nipping his ear. He couldn't help admiring Gavin's body. It was a pretty picture. His open shirt was hanging off one shoulder, green eyes dazed as his mouth fell open with a low moan. His strong thighs were on display, and the curve of his pale ass was almost irresistible. "Well? Say it, Detective…Say please," the android prompted softly, nipping his quivering shoulder.

"P-please…" Gavin repeated in a sigh that was somewhere between needy and confused. What was he asking for? He didn't even know where he was at this point. All he knew was that there was a sting in his temple, a body pressed up behind him, and he was painfully hard. Despite those things, he vaguely remembered that he hadn't wanted this. "Stop." It was no more than a dazed murmur. The hand in his hair pressed more firmly as he tried to squirm free. He finally stopped squirming as the first finger sank in effortlessly, somehow slick and painless. He stiffened as he registered the intrusion, blinking as the familiar filling sensation washed over him. His body understood this feeling and reacted on instinct.

"That's it…Good, Detective." The prising tone made Gavin whine in objection despite the way his body was softening up for it. They were the wrong words. The wrong tone. The wrong hands on his skin. The wrong body pressing in behind, caging him against the wall. I want…I want…someone…Phck! Who do I usually call? Gavin closed his eyes tightly, desperately trying to focus on silvery eyes and freckled skin. That person! He needed that person. That person would help. That person would keep him safe. That person was important. That person had a name somewhere…Phck!

"Nines…" His head fell back as he was tugged up higher. Something large was pressing against his still tight entrance. He squirmed and writhed against it, throwing an elbow back as he tried to break free. He found himself caught in an iron grasp, the pressure against his entrance slowly increasing. The android had him locked in a restraining hold, an arm across his back forcing him against the brick surface. The android continued to press and jerk, the movements allowing the length to finally slip inside. Gavin trembled at the familiar filling sensation, his whole body quivering.

"Fuck, you're so tight…" the android moaned in his ear. Gavin shuddered as the body pressed closer, hips rocking lazily. He whimpered as he felt the length slide out half way before sliding back in. It felt good. It shouldn't feel good! "That's it, Detective…Lean into it…Good, fuck!" Gavin's body was responding on autopilot, knowing what it was supposed to do in this position. His mind still couldn't figure it out. He knew it was wrong. He knew he didn't want to be there. He wanted…Nines…I want…I need Nines, I-

He flinched as a loud crack suddenly rang out right behind him. It was so loud that it set his ears ringing and his head clouding. He was confused as the pressing body fell away. The loss of support sent Gavin to the ground with it. He rolled away from the fallen android, vaguely aware of measured footsteps approaching as he slumped on his back, dazed and unfocused. Gavin groaned in objection. His vision was still fuzzy from all the ringing in his ears. He tried to push himself up, breath huffing out as he rolled and slumped down on his front again. He was too disorientated.

He grunted as he was towed onto his back, panting in a hazy panic as he looked up at…someone. Blue eyes. Sandy hair…He looked familiar…Someone he'd seen before…Someone he knew? He got an uncanny valley feeling. Something was wrong with this person. He trembled as he looked up, unsure whether it was the cold on his ass or a sense of raw fear as he noticed the person's hand. He was dazed and unfocused, but it still didn't take much for him to recognise a threat when he saw one. The person didn't seem like he was about to kill him though. Gavin blinked, confused as the man crouched. The gun was loose in his hand as he regarded him with unsettling indifference. Android…He wasn't sure why, but he was certain.

"Happy New Year, Gavin." The low murmuring voice sounded so familiar. Gavin couldn't focus as the barrel of the gun nudged his dazed head up a little. Android…Is it a common model? He squinted and tried to place the face he was seeing. He grunted as the grip of the gun struck his temple hard enough to darken his vision.
