Dimitri POV
Dimitri," Rose whispered, her eyes shining with hope.
"No," I said, "I'm not saying I forgive you, but I...I'm not angry any more."
"What can I do to earn your forgiveness?" she asked, her voice still soft. I kissed her again. The feel of her back in my arms was amazing; I felt like I'd come home again.
"Nothing," I said when we pulled back. "Just never leave my side. That's all I ask for."
"I promise," she smiled, reaching up for me, her lips connecting with mine once again.
Adrian POV
when I saw Sydney bolt I immediately followed. Jumping from the stage, I heard people calling my name, but I could only focus on Sydney.
Flashback
"Why Adrian, why do you always get in fights with this kid." My father demanded.
"I don't.."
"You do" he screamed cutting me off "every week you have problems with Zelkos, and for some girl. You've been treating girls like a game since freshmen year and now you've been kicked out of school for fighting another person over her why?"
"I...I"
"What Adrian, you what. You suddenly became an adult because you what?" My father continued to scream. "Tell me, come on Adrian tell..."
"Because I love her" I screamed, "I love her." My fathers face turned into pity.
"But she doesn't love you, you may as well be her brother" he said smugly.
"Just go away, please" Sydney voice brought me out of my memory. I looked over at her. She was on her knees in front of her sisters gave, shaking from the rain that had started. I took of my leather jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
"I didn't come for you" I said kneeling beside her, "Hey, Jill. its been a while hasn't it? I came to tell you i'm sorry, I'm sorry I never sent tickets, i'm sorry I didn't come see you one last time, I'm sorry for not visiting, but most importantly im sorry for letting you and your sister down so many times. I know i'm disappointing, but if there's any way you could forgive me, I'd really, really love that." Sydney stood up sniffling, and stared to walk away.
"Wait" I called. She stopped, but didn't turn around.
"I thought you weren't here for me" she said.
"I promise from this day on I will always be there for you" I replied. Sydney turned around. Her eyes were puffy and red.
"Then just tell me why you really slept with rose" Sydney said softly, her whole body looked exhausted. Like she was to tired to fight anymore.
"I...I told you I made a mistake" I said lying through my teeth.
"I thought so, Goodbye Adrian." Sydney turned and stared walking again.
"I'm scared" I shouted over the rain. She froze. "I love you, I've loved you since my Senior year of high school. I was a scum bag since my freshmen year and you changed that in a day... and it scares me. And it still scares me. I hate myself everyday for what I did to you. I...I wish I could take it back so much, but I can't and I hate it. I love you Sydney Katherine Sage, please forgive me."
"I do" she whispered. it was barley audbile but it was there as sure as the sun and moon , then she walked out of my life again taking the only piece of my soul I had left with her.
