AN
I'm sorry most of my chapters are short, and I don't update often. My ideas only hit me when they want to, and then they leave me too soon, and I'm either busy or tired, plus school is about to start! Sorry, I'm just complaining now! I love ALL the reviews, they are what keeps me from completely giving up:D Also in the last chapter I said Sydney was 19, she's not, she is 24, along with Dimtri, Rose, Adrian, Ivan and the rest of the band. One more thing, I edited some of my other chapters I hope I got all the mistakes.
Dimitri POV
Rose and I were laying on my bed in silence until she asked:
"Do you think he'll be okay" Rose asked me. I chuckled at the phone call Adrian had just made to me.
Flashback
"You Russian Bastard" Adrian hissed as I answered the phone.
"Why hello, having fun?" I replied, smiling.
"Don't get cute with me, Dimitri. I can't believe you sent me to stay with your family, WITHOUT TELLING ME THEIR YOUR FAMILY!" I laughed, I couldn't help it, and its not like he could do anything about it. He was on the other side of the world after all.
"I didn't think it was relevant, besides they're not treating you badly are they?" I asked. I already knew the answer, of course they weren't. My mother has probably already stuffed him with food.
"No" he mumbled, "but a heads up still would've been nice. They seem to really miss you." My smile fell at his words.
"I miss them too" I replied sadly "and don't tell them, because I want them to be surprised, but I'll be there in a month."
"Really" He sounded relived.
"Why, do you miss me already?" I teased.
"No, It would just be nice to actually know someone here, while I'm across the world."
"Don't worry a month will fly by. Just promise me you'll treat my family well" I asked him.
"I promise" Adrian replied. At that we hung up.
End
"I'm sure he'll be fine, it's my nephew I'm worried about he's only ten and still impressionable"
Rose smile and laid her head on my chest as she drifted off to sleep.
"Good night, Dimitri, love you" I smiled at her words.
"I love you too Roza"
Sydney POV
I bolted upright in my bed. "It was just another dream" I told myself. I looked out my window, the sun was just barley peeking above the horizon. I may as well get up. I showered, and went to the kitchen. Ivan was already there making coffee. Its been about 2 weeks since I came to Palm Springs. Luckily Ivan let me live with him, and his annoying roommate, Trey.
"Another dream" Ivan asked handing me a mug full of steaming hot coffee. I've been dreaming about my sister, and Adrian for days now. The dreams mostly started with both of them smiling and laughing, then just before I woke up they would start to disappear, screaming for my help.
"Maybe you should look for Adrian" Ivan said, not helpfully I might add.
"I did look for-"
"Don't give me that bullshit" he said angrily, cutting me off. I stared helplessly at him.
"What do you want me to do, Ivan" I asked desperately, "The only person who seems to know where Adrian is, is Dimtri and he won't tell me anything."
"Then fight harder, I know you can find Dimitri. Go to him, plead your case." With that he walked out the front door. He was in law school to be a lawyer, and sometimes I wanted to smack him, because he said lawyer stuff like "plead your case."
"Good morning Beautiful" I heard Trey say from behind me. I rolled my eyes and stalked into my bedroom. I was not in the mood to even talk to him right now.
Even though Ivan's annoying I decided to take his advice and call Dimitri.
"Hello" He said his Russian accent seemed stronger on the phone.
"Hi, Dimitri it's Sydney"
"What do you want?"
"Where did he go, Dimtri, please just tell me" I pleaded. I heard him sigh.
"You know he didn't leave because he doesn't love you anymore." I stayed silent, not knowing what to say, I assumed Adrian hated me.
"He's glad you forgave him" Dimtri continued, "He just can't forgive himself." Oh Adrian, I love you.
"You're not going to tell me where his is are you" I asked defeated.
"I'm sorry Sydney, but not yet." He hung up on me after that. I threw my phone at the wall in frustration. Tears welled in my eyes. If I hadn't walked away from Adrian that night at the cemetery, he would still be here, but I was stupid. At the time I thought I could move on. I laid on my pillows and let the tears flow. wherever he is I hope he's happy.
Adrian POV
I've been with the Belkiov's for about two weeks. They were nice and all, but I missed Sydney like crazy.
"Oooo, Adrian are you writing in your diary again!" Vicky taunted me from outside my(well dimitri's) bedroom door.
"Don't you have something to cry over or something" I shouted back slamming the door in her face. Vicky or Victoria was the youngest child of Olean. She was 15, annoying, stubborn, and bossy. If she was taller and her hair was just a bit shorter, she could be Dimitri.
What I was writing is not my deep, dark secrets, they are song lyrics. I didn't have much, but I liked the song already:
This time, I wonder what it feels like
To find the one in this life, the one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I'll be waiting for the real thing, I'll know it by the feeling
The moment when we're meeting, will play out like a scene
Straight off the silver screen
So I'll be holding my breath, right up 'til the end
Until that moment when, I find the one that I'll spend forever with
AN: the song is Gotta be somebody by Nickleback. I'll have the rest of it in another chapter.
