Sydney POV

"Dimtri"

"No"

"But Dimt.."

"I said no." So my conversation with Dimrti wasn't going as planned, but I was determined.

"Please, if you could just hear me out."

"Goodbye, Sydney" The sound of the call being disconnected rang through my head. That son of a bitch hung up on me! I tried calling several more times, with no luck. I wasn't about to give up, but i needed time to think. I know I was completely terrible to Adrian, but did Dimtri truly hate me, or was he just being protective. Throwing on my coat I headed down the busy street of L.A. The cold biting at my skin felt refreshing, somewhat clearing my head. About a mile down the road I found a cemetery. This cemetery has always been beautiful to me, always out of place. If you had you're back turned to the cemetery you could see the roar of the city. Bright lights, zooming taxis, and people having fun for miles to see. Turning your back to the city was a special kind of cold chill. Of course you could still hear the loudness of L.A, but even with all the noise everything felt still. When you stood among the grave stones it felt as if they muffled the world. Trey was standing a few feet from me. It didn't seem as if he was looking at any particulate head stone, just staring at all of them.

"She would've been buried here, ya know." He was talking about her, his girlfriend.

"She loved this place. She was an artist and she would just sit here for hours; just sketching." Trey's voice was soft, his eyes heartbroken.

"What's her name?" Trey smiled softly; his eyes flashed as if a thousand memories flew through his mind in that single moment.

"Sophia."

"Beautiful name." It was a lame thing to say, but what exactly could you say in this situation.

"Beautiful woman, Feisty, strong, level-headed; a lot like you."

"Me? How could I possibly remind you of someone who sounds amazing?" Trey looked at me now. His eyes scanning me thoughfully.

"You haven't lived up to reputation, ya know."

"Oh? What reputation is that?"

"Ian," He says, "He has tons of stories about you; He always paints you so high in them. Hearing about you i'd have figured you'd have torn down the world by now trying to find Adrian. I suppose a story is just a story."

"That's not fair, I did try." I say defensively.

"You also stopped." He sounded condescending now.

"I needed fresh air."

"Excuses" Trey waved me off.

"What exactly should I do, I've no idea where he his. He's not exactly going to answer his phone if he sees I'm calling."

"Have you tried?"

"Tried what?"

"Calling Adrian." He said matter-of-factly.

"Well...no, not exactly." Trey sighs

"How do you know if you don't try."

"I...He's angry with me. There's no way he wants to talk."

"I'm angry with you all the time, yet here I am." Trey surprised me tonight, I never knew he was good at pep talks. I'd long since retired to my room when Ivan checked on me.

"You alright?"

"I...I think i'll be okay."

"I hope that's true. I miss you." Ivan had a longing in his eyes as he shut the door. I wanted to protest and tell him I was right here, but I couldn't. He didn't mean it the literal sense. I'm not someone who sulks, I don't cry and I certainly don't avoid people because i'm scared they're going to reject me. I've never had to hide myself from Adrian, and that's the problem. I'm hiding from myself, not him. Sighing I picked up my cell phone. I smiled when I found the name "crazy," I'd forgotten that was my name for him. Pressing call, I closed my eyes and held the phone to my ear.

"Sydney" His voice croaked.
