The five of them had been walking awhile towards pride rook in silence. It was only when they were in the field that Simba and Mufasa had been doing their pouncing lesson that morning when Mufasa had finally said anything to them and it was to Zazu not even to the three cubs.

"Zazu" he commanded. Zazu quickly looked back at the cubs before quickly flying up in front of Mufasa's feet. Bowing low to try and make it up to the king anyway he could.

"Yes sire" he asked nervously.

"Take Nala and Kagome home" he said only sparing the two girls a glace. "I've got to teach my son a lesson" as he said that Simba crouched low to the ground tiring to hide in the long grass.

"Come Kagome, you too Nala, Simba" Zazu said facing him directly the young cub. "Good luck" and with that Zazu flew a little above the ground. Kagome and Nala followed right after, only glancing back to Simba for a moment.

"Simba" he said sternly, Simba crept forward slowly to him, looking back slightly to watch his to friend and sister head toward pride rock with Zazu leading them. Simba got to where Mufasa was and sat down next to him. They didn't talk for a moment before Mufasa gave a long sigh before looking down towards his son. "Simba I'm very disappointed in you"

"I know" Simba said sheepishly, not looking in Mufasa's eyes.

"You could have been killed, you deliberately disobeyed me, and what's worst, and you not only put Nala in danger but also Kagome, your sister" he said pointedly. Mufasa knew that Simba was feeling bad about when had happened that day, but he knew that for Simba to learn from this that he was going to have to scare the young cub a bit by using his love as a sister to Kagome and his Friendship, he needed to learn to think responsibly.

"I was just trying to be brave like you" Simba tried protest.

"I'm only brave when I have to be" tried to press upon his son. "Simba…being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble"

"But you're not sacred of anything"

"I was today" Mufasa confessed to him looking up to the stars.

"You were" said as if he'd been told that was impossible.

"Yes, I thought I might lose you and your sister" Mufasa said as he leaned so that he was closer to Simba's face.

"Oh" Simba said with realization. "I guess even kings get sacred, hn" he said looking away a little embarrassed about making his father worry and fear about not just him but Kagome as well, "but you know what"

"What" Mufasa asked amused.

"I think those hyena's were even sacreder" Simba said trying to lighten the mood.

"Haha, because no one messes with your dad" he said going with the mood change, he knew it wouldn't be the last of their father/king son/prince talks. He grabbed Simba in his paw. "Come here you" and with that he rubbed his paw quickly over his son's head while resting on his back paws and they both laughed.

"Oh no, no" Simba protested and his father let him go "Come here" Simba said as he chased his father though the grass and the time Mufasa laughing at him, until he let him get him which was when Simba bit into his ear. "Gotcha" he said in triumph. "Dad we're pals, right?" he asked cheerfully form the top of Mufasa's head, comfortably lying in his glorious red mane.

"Right" Mufasa said with a goofy grin on his face.

"And we'll always be together, right?" Simba asked smiling. Mufasa hesitated before he answered his question, knowing that he would have to answer it carefully because there was no chance that something would happen to him and then Simba would blame him for not being there but also he needed to make sure he didn't scare the cub a this young an age.

"Simba let me tell you something my father told me…Look at the stars, the great kings of the past, look down us from the stars" raising his head to look up at them making Simba side back a bit on his mane.

"Really" Simba asked in wonder as he too looked up at them.

"Yes, so when ever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you, and so will I" there was no more words between the two as they watched the stars for a little longer before they moved towards pride rock for a good nights sleep.

When they got into the cave, almost everyone was asleep when they arrived expect for Sarabi who was awake looking towards them. Mufasa could see Kagome curled up into Sarabi's side. As they moved closure he could see that the white fur under her eyes was freshly wet, no doubt form her crying. Sarabi watched as they entered, she gave Simba a scowling look before her eye moved to Mufasa. They came to the middle rock Simba moved into between them while Mufasa laid in is normal spot on the rock. There was a moment of silence between the king and queen before she began to speck.

"You know you need to talk to her Mufasa" she stated bluntly.

"I will Sarabi" he replied, their faces facing away from each other.

"When?" she questioned him.

"Tomorrow, maybe around noon"

"How about tomorrow morning when she wakes" Sarabi corrected

"Is she that bad?"

"She cried herself to sleep"

"Very well tomorrow at down" and with that they stopped talking and the small family fell to sleep.

Kagome's dream.

She was back in the cave, hiding in her hole in the wall. Just like she had been the first time.

"Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty" Bansai said in a scarily menacing tone. As the three walked closer, Simba Moved slightly in front of Nala and bared his sharp white teeth. And then he started to roar. It was the same sound that came out as it had done that very day. The look on Nala's face the same which showed that she too felt as bad for him.

"Ha, that was it" Shenzi aid as she looked to the other two. "Do it again" she said mockingly. Instead of it being Simba's roar, it was their father's mighty roar but here it made the ground shook, a piece of rock hitting her head as it did. Mufasa swiped at the three, by the look on his face he was furious and she could tell it wasn't just at the hyenas. She could hear the three were begging Mufasa to spare them.

"Silence!" he roared but they were still muttering, begging for their lives, so Mufasa growled at them and effectively shutting them up. Mufasa looked them dead in the eyes "if you ever come near my SON again…"

"Oh he's your Son" Shenzi tried pathetically, she looked to Bansai. "Did you know that?"

"No did you" he lied "No, of course not" they looked at each other and then to Ed.

"Ed?" they asked together. Ed's only reply was dumbly nodding his head, which made Mufasa growl one final time.

"Toodles" Bansai said as the three ran away from Mufasa and out the cave, Yelping as they went.

"Dad I-" Simba tried to start to explain.

"You deliberately disobeyed me" Mufasa cut him off before he can say anything else. Simba felt guilty and so really wanted to try and explain it to him.

"I was only trying-"

"Let's go home" this confused Kagome. Had he seen her this time? She came out the hole and walked towards him, but Mufasa stopped and turned to glare at her. "Where are you going" he demanded. Kagome stopped where she stood where she was, starting to shake a little.

"Home, with-" Kagome started but Mufasa stopped.

"What makes you think we want you to come back" he stated coldly. "I came for Simba and Nala, the normal cubs, why would I be here for you"

"I thought-" she tried again.

"My brother was right, you do nothing but bring trouble"

"But"

"You're an outcast it's your fault that these two are here, it's ALL your fault"

"No, No I tried to stop them"

"Shut up" and he brought his paw up to strike her.

Ok that's it for now, hope you enjoyed the update.
