Here is the long awaited update.
Sorry it took so long.
:-(
Suddenly Kagome woke with a shock. Her head raised and her breathing heavy. She looked around to find that she was the only one up. She got up from between her parents moved to the exit of cave. The sun has started to come up and show a sky kissed with light. She look back into the cave to see them all sleeping peacefully she gave a sigh and turned back to look out over the land.
What she didn't know was that Mufasa had woken up when he felt her move form between him and Sarabi. His eyes had followed her as she went and sat outside. He closed his eye when he felt her look back his way. When he felt her eyes turn off him he opened his eyes and turned them back on her, he could tell she was distressed but didn't know why or what caused it. He didn't make a sound as he got up and walked thought the lionesses to come to the entrance. He was just behind her when she sat down and looked at her with concern in his eyes.
"You should be sleeping little one" he said softly. Kagome was startled but his voice as she turned to look at him with wide eyes. "What keeps you awake my daughter, your never normally up before your brother, the sun's rays have not even touched the night sky yet" he said as he looked to the sky. He knew it would be dawn soon as all the stars had gone in and the moon was nowhere to be seen. Kagome lowered her head not really wanting to think about the dream as she fears it becoming true.
"Just had a bad dream was all" she mumbled, not looking at his thoughtful gaze. Mufasa looked down at the cub trying to think about it could have been about.
"Your uncle scar again" he asked softly. But Kagome just shook her head.
"No" she replied. There was a moment of silence before she continued. "About what happened today in the elephant graveyard cave" she explained. Mufasa gave a slow sigh and looked back into the cave. He looked to his Queen and their son; he could see that they were nowhere near waking up anytime soon.
"Follow me little one" he said as he stood up and started to walk towards the path that led up to the peck that he had taken Simba the day before. The sun was coming up and this would be the first time that any lioness would go up there. The king normally just took his heir up their but he felt that Kagome needed the view and to share something with him.
There was something that she was feeling and obviously she had been feeling it for a while. It was time that he found out her true feelings and the fear that was in her eyes. Kagome had looked over to where he was heading and followed behind him slowly. Unsure what to do about it but followed him none the less.
They climbed higher and higher until they got to the top. There was only a small warm glow in the distance where they could see where the sun was going to come up like it did every morning. King Mufasa kept his head high as he walked to the edge where he sat down and watched the sun rise over his kingdom. Kagome came slowly and sat next to him while she looked at the sun rise.
"Kagome, you have been very distant from me and your mother tells me you are more than a little quite when you are with her?" he questioned. "Is there something you wish to ask?" he asked softy.
"It's nothing really, just that" Kagome paused as she tried to think of the right words to use. "Why am I so different? Why is my coat different? It makes me feel like I'm an outsider to the pride" her head still facing the sun.
"Kagome have you ever thought that there is a reason why your coat is the colour it is?" Mufasa asked. He knew it was too early to reveal the truth to the young cub but he knew that there was something that could put her mind to rest.
"There is a legend from lions everywhere that there are special lions that are so rare many think you will only see a handful in your life time, these are lions are sent to us from the kings of the past and they are blessed with coats made of star dust, this makes their coats the purest of white" throughout Mufasa's legend telling Kagome had moved her head so that she was looking up at him with a sparkle in her eyes.
"These lions are sent to us for different reasons but they are thought to help restore balance throughout all the different kingdoms" Mufasa moved so he was no longer looking out over the lands but looking down at Kagome.
"Kagome you will always be my daughter, not matter what anyone ever tells you, and I am proud of you and your starlight coat and I hope that when Simba become King and Nala becomes Queen, I hope you will still stay by their side to help them run this kingdom as it should be because you by far going to be the wisest of the three" and with that Mufasa lowered his head and lowered his head to nuzzle her and breath in her scent.
"Thank you Daddy" Kagome said as she nuzzled him back and breathe in his own scent, a scent that was always o calming. "Daddy, if this is a story throughout all lions then are their more of me?" his asked timidly.
"Yes my daughter and I hope one day that you will meet them and find someone that will treat you like the goddess you should be, as that is what you are with you and being blessed with the coat you have" he said truthfully. "Come on, we best get back to the den before your mother notices we have gone" he said as he got up and started to make his way to the pathway back down to the Lion's den. Kagome got up and was close on his heels.
"Kagome was that the only thing that was bothering you? I know that your mother has mentioned that you are frighten of someone in the pride?" Mufasa asked her as they made their way down the wide path. "When I asked who it was she said that I should ask you about it" he asked calmly.
"It was nothing Daddy, mummy just said to ignore them" Kagome said. Not really wanting to make something start between her uncle and her father, last time that happened, Uncle Scar became much meaner to her. She didn't want that again.
"Very well, but if they get out of hand I hope that you will come and talk to either your mother or me about it, ok" he said as he stopped just outside of the den.
"Ok Daddy" she said with a yawn. Mufasa smiled down at the little white lioness and moved his muzzle down to nuzzle her once again. And either that the two lions walked into the Den and went back to the royal family sleeping rock. Little did they know that an early riser had seen them talking. The scene had spooked them, they hadn't been able to hear what they were saying but they knew that they had to act fast.
The sun was now high in the sky and the kingdom was wide awake and active. The herds were grazing, the lionesses were at work or lazing in the shaded tree area. Mufasa had left pride rock to do his patrol around the kingdom, Sabari was busy sorting out the lionesses den, and Simba was playing just under of the great rock ledge with Nala. That left Kagome to wonder around the rock. She wasn't really in the mood for playing with her brother and friend but she wanted to go for a walk. Too bad she hadn't got too far before trouble came searching.
Scar walked up to Kagome as she walking through the grass just in front of pride rock, where she knew her mother would be able to see her by seeing her white coat in the green grass.
"Why if it isn't the little princess" Scar said as he walked around the young girl blocking her from walking any further forward. Kagome lowered her head, trying to make herself a smaller target without realising it. She wanted to take her parents advice, but why couldn't her uncle just leave her alone.
"Tell me where is that brother of yours, I though you and him were inseparable" he said sarcastically. "Oh I forgot, he's probably with Nala isn't he, after all she is HIS best friend" he continued and he kept walking around her until he stopped and sat behind her, his tail swishing behind him. "Why would the prince want to spend time with you, his sister, when he could have her to play with instead, after all Nala isn't one to run away from her own shadow" he said with a grin.
"Please leave me alone Uncle Scar, Daddy told me to stay away from you" Kagome said as she made to walk away from him and head back to her mother's side, deciding that she needed to be with her and that she was don't being alone for the day. However before she could take her first step, Scar had put his large paw on her tail, trapping her and making her yelp from the pain.
"Now why would he say that?" he said as he dragged his paw closer to him taking the tail with it making her to move back to him. "Unless you've told him, of course if that's the case I think you and me need to go have a little talk" he said as he took his paw off Kagome tail. "Don't you little princess" and with that he stood up and pushed her forward to get her moving. Kagome really didn't want to go with Scar, he was really scaring her.
"Um, if we are going I need to tell mummy where I'm going" she tried to move in the direction of her mother and the other lionesses.
"I think you'll be fine, it won't be long, I even doubt they'll notice that you are even gone" he said as he forced her to walk with him. Kagome was getting scared but went with it. After all what can see do, her; a small fragile cub against a fully grown lion. And maybe he was probably right. Her mother was busy and she was out for a walk so it was not like she would be lying to her when she had told her. Besides she would make sure that she would be able to get to rock from wherever they are going.
Scar didn't say anything as they walked; he just walks with a smirk on his face. His plan was going well so far. He was getting one of his problems taken care of then they he could work on finding the prince and start the next step and the next problem solved. If his plan went smoothly then he would be king of his brother's Kingdom by sundown.
Kagome was walking as slow as she could without making obvious to her uncle Scar what she was doing and that it was on purpose. He might just take it as her normal pace. He already through that she was weak and in signification anyway, why not use it to her advantage in this situation where he was leading her way from her home without telling her why.
As they walked further on she made sure that she memorised every field they passed and everything that would help her know the way back to pride rock. She looked in the direction that they were heading and realised that they were heading towards the rocks in the far corner of wildebeest herd were having their morning grazing. It was only when they got closer to the rocks did she notice that there was figures of three people hiding there.
When she saw browns spots on their backs she stopped in fright. She knew who they were, they were the hyenas from yesterday. The ones that wanted to eat her, Nala, Simba and Zazuu. She looked to Scar, only to see the evil smirk on his face as he saw the realisation in the young cub's eyes. Kagome made to turned to run but Scar had expected that she he quickly moved his back leg to block her path and moved to grab her by her scruff with his teeth.
Once he had hold of her, he picked her up and walked further towards the hyenas Shenzi, Ed and Bansai. Kagome kept twisting and struggling in Scar's mouth desperately trying to get away from whatever was going on here and to just go back to where it was safe. Back with her loving Mum, with her gentle Dad, her playful brother and daring Nala as well as the other Lionesses. Back to where she knew that her father would protect her from whatever was about to happen.
But no matter how much she struggled she was just too weak to escape Scars grip, which was now starting to hurt her. He wasn't as gentle as her mother and mother had been when they did this. It was hard and cold and she was worried that his fangs would actually price her skin and she would bleed onto her white coat. The coat that her father had told her he was so proud of. Uncle Scar was going to ruin her coat.
Scar kept walking toward the rocks where they are met but Shenzi, Ed and Bansai. All three were looking at the girl with hungry eyes. Scar knew what they were thinking but he needed them to be focused if his plan was going to work. He should have fed them before sending them here to wait for him.
Once he was by the rock he dropped the ruddy cub at his front paws with no care for concern if she was hurt. She let out a little whine of pain from the impacted but didn't move from her place on the floor. Too afraid of what would happen to her if she did.
