Two updates only hours apart i hope you all like this.

"Isn't this a great place?" Simba says to Nala later on in the evening as they walked along the bank toward Simba's hammock that he could see the waterfall from. It had been a great evening the two had spent together

"It is beautiful" Nala says as she looked around about them. The two of them knew that there was something between them, something that was more than friends but when Nala thought about that all she could see was they day that they had gone to the elephant graveyard.

When they had been walking along the path with Kagome, when Zazuu had told them that the two of them were betrothed to each other and Kagome, her best friend; Simba's sister had giggled at Zazuu's words.

"Kagome would have loved this" Nala says with a sad smile.

"Would have?" Simba asked, confused by Nala's past tense.

"Simba, it wasn't just you and your father that the pride lost that day" Nala said sadly. "Kagome was apparently in the wildebeest herd field about the same time as the stampede" she explained. Simba's eyes widened at the news.

"All the land knew that she was a lion with a starlight coat, Scar said that it was probably her coat that spooked the herd and caused them to run from her into the gorge to where you and your father was" she continued.

"Simba, no one has seen Kagome since that morning, the pride searched, every second we could spear, no sign was ever found of her, Scar said that she probably got stepped on or something in the commotion, he said that…" Nala was really struggling explaining the story to Simba.

"He said that because of her such small size that a vulture probably picked her up and took her to their nest" Nala was close to tears at this point. Simba, said nothing at the news. He remembered how the vultures had been circling him when he was in the desert, all he could think was that Timon had saved him from a fate that it seemed the kings of the past could not save his sister from.

"We assumed he was correct but by the look of it the same had happened to you when the pride count's find your body in the gorge" Nala finished. No tears had fallen, she had spent many moons morning her friend, and wished her all the happiness in where she was now, however all this brought on another thought to her mind

"But I don't understand something Simba" Nala said catching the male lion's attention. Simba was in a state of shock, he had never thought that he would hear what he had about his sister, he had assumed that she stayed with the pride with his mother, with Nala, with the other lionesses, but now how was being told that she had in fact gone missing, that she was in fact with his father in the stars.

"You've been alive all this time Simba" his friend's words brought Simba back to the lioness in front of him. "Why didn't you come back to Pride Rock?" Nala asked seriously.

"Well, after what happened I decided I just needed to... get out on my own" he said as the two walked up towards the two trees. Simba was grateful for Nala's change of subject. He wasn't really sure what to think about the fact that his sister had been dead for so long without him knowing it.

"I needed to live my own life; and I did" he said as he climbed into his hanging vine hammock. "And it's great" at this point to anyone outside the conversation looking in Simba sounded almost like he was trying to convince himself as well as Nala.

"We've really needed you at home" she says as her voice catches, like she was trying to control the emotion in her voice.

"No one needs me" Simba quietly mutters.

"Yes, we do! You're the king" Nala exclaims.

"Nala, we've been through this, I'm not the king" he says calmly. "Scar is" he says looking away from his friend.

"How you can you say that so calmly" Nala says angrily. "Don't you even remember what he used to do to your sister!" she says with a glare.

"Scar is older, he has more experience and was a better choice over a cub who was a brat" Simba said coldly.

"Simba, he let the hyenas take over the Pride Lands" Nala said more calmly, switching tactics, noticing that anger wasn't getting anywhere.

"What?!" Simba says shocked. He remembered how much time his father had spent chasing the hyenas from their lands and his uncle would just let them in? What made no sense?

"Everything's destroyed because of them" Nala states. "Scar makes the lionesses hunt for them, it's why they didn't have a lot of time to look for you and your sister" Nala explained. "There's no food, No water; Simba, if you don't do something soon, everyone will starve" she says angrily.

"I can't go back" Simba said as he gets out of the hammock.

"Why?" Nala asks raising her voice louder.

"You wouldn't understand" Simba responded quickly without thinking.

"What wouldn't I understand?" Nala asks, insulted that he wasn't telling her everything, that he was keeping some kind of secret.

"No, no, no" Simba says hastily realising his mistake. "It doesn't matter; Hakuna Matata" he says.

"What?" Nala says, confused by the phase.

"Hakuna Matata" Simba repeated. "It's something I learned out here" he explained. "Look, sometimes bad things happen..." He started.

"Simba! Is that all you can say!" Nala exclaimed.

"...And there's nothing you can do about it" he continuing, irritated at Nala interruption. "So why worry?" he finished. Simba starts away from Nala, walking on a fallen tree while Nala trots up along with him.

"Because it's your responsibility! How can you think like this" Nala yells at him.

"Well, what about you? YOU left" Simba countered.

"I left to find help! And I found YOU" she defended herself. "Don't you understand? You're our only hope" she pleaded for him to understand.

"Sorry" was all Simba said as he kept walking

"What's happened to you? You're not the Simba I remember" Nala says coldly.

"You're right, I'm not, now are you satisfied?" Simba bites back with the same coldness.

"No, just disappointed" she continued in the cold voice.

"You know, you're starting to sound like my father" he countered.

"Good" Nala said as she stops in her tracts. "At least one of us does" she said as a dig at him and it worked. Simba was cut by the comment about his father; he tears into Nala with his words in defence.

"Listen, you think you can just show up and tell me how to live my life? You don't even know what I've been through!" He properly yells at her now, angry at her.

"I would if you would just tell me!"

"Forget it!"

"Fine!"

And with that said Simba walks off towards the jungle medow.
