"Fine, I killed Mufasa!" Scar Roars to them all and as soon as those words left his mouth all hell broke loose. Nala makes a run towards Scar, the other lionesses close behind her, claws ready and their teeth bared ready for battle.
Kagome went straight for the first hyena in her path and soon all were fighting and even though they were not at full strength the lions or pride rock were winning against the hordes of hyena. Simba had got attacked straight away by a large group of them.
The hyena's used their teeth to cling on to Simba as he tried to knock them off. Kagome tried to fight her way towards her brother when Hyena's started to fly in every direction and a small voice rang out from what looked like a path of something.
"Hey-yah!" Kagome looked closer and saw that it was red warthog that had bowled his way through the hyena's and riding on its back was a meerkat standing upright as he rode holding the warthog's eyes.
"'Excuse me, Pardon me, Comin' through; Hot stuff" Meerkat yelled at the hyenas as the warthog knocks them over.
"Whoo!" they both continued to yell as they knocked more and more Hyenas down. With most of the hordes confused or knocked over Kagome made another attempt to get to Simba as he seemed to have no help in getting the Hyena's to let go of his fur with their teeth.
There was so many that by the weight of them Simba had to lay on his back, not the greatest position because this gave the opportunity for one of the hyena's to go right for his throat. Kagome gave an angry roar as she knocked another hyena out of her way, but she was a little slow to aid her brother.
"WA!" Kagome saw Rafiki's staff come down on the hyena's head with a loud whack! This caused the hyena let go of Simba. Kagome gave another roar as she was so close to her brother and she was that her mentor had got all the hyena's off of her brother and was now taking them all on one by one.
"Hozah! Hazoww! Ya! Yah! HyEOW!" Rafiki let out as he took on the hyena's using his staff to bat the hyena's away as if they were just petty flies. Kagome had a smile on her face as she finally got to her brother and started fighting side by side, watching each other's back.
"Good to see you Kags" Simba says as he whacks a hyena away with his large paw as it lunges for him.
"Yeah, I'd say I came at the prefect time" Kagome says back as she uses her claws to tear into another Hyena's side. "So where you been all this time Simba?" she asks attacking another.
"I could ask you the same thing sis, Nala said you were dead" Simba counters before biting a hyena's leg as it went to get a hit on Kagome hind leg.
"Guess we're both back from the dead today then, I heard Scar tell the pride you and dad died in the gorge" Kagome replied as she leapt over Simba's back and pinned a hyena to the ground who had tried to go for Simba in his blind spot before using her teeth to bite one of its legs.
As Kagome raises her head as she let the creature run away she saw Scar trying to sneak away. She glares at him as she let out a load low growl. This growl caught Simba's attention as he turned to his sister only to focus on the same male lion before letting out a growl of his own.
"You want to take him?" Simba asks his sister as they look off to where the older lion had run away higher up the rock, no doubt to get to higher ground, away from the fire and away from the battle. Simba wanted to go after his uncle but at the same time he knew that both he and Kagome had their reasons to fight him.
"No, it's your battle for the throne, not mine" Kagome says simply as she uses her right clawed paw to tear into a hyena to her right coming out of her pause from the battle. "I'll go fine Mum, no doubt she and the other lionesses could use a hand" she said giving a look at her brother.
Simba just nodded and moved to begin his chase of his uncle up to the top of pride rock. Kagome knew it was the right thing to do, letting Simba be the one to defeat their uncle. Her reasons for challenging Scar were ones of revenge, Simba's were reasons to save the pride.
But that didn't mean Kagome hadn't wanted to get the older male back for all the fear he had put into her, the mental abuse he had put her through. However Kagome moved forward from that and focused back on the battle.
She looked around to check on which of the lionesses could aid from her help. Most of the hoard had been defeated by this point of the battle and the weak and injured Hyena were fleeing away from the pride lands. The lionesses had held their own but there were still more to fight.
First Kagome looked for a sign of her mother in the range of lioness figures. She spotted Sarabi fighting with two lionesses flagging her both sides and another not too far behind her so as to protect her from a rear attack. Giving a satisfied nod of her head at this she then looked for her old time friend and found her quickly.
Much like when she was younger, Kagome saw Nala trying to take one 7 or 8 hyenas at a time by herself. This image made Kagome give a smirk; nothing had really changed. In the next moment Kagome ran and leapt over Nala's back and pinned a hyena down to give it a bite on the leg much like she had done with Simba.
"Kagome!" Nala said happily as she turned to see her friend by her side. Nala was just getting surprise after surprise the last couple of days. First to find out that Simba was alive and well, then for Simba to return and fight for his title as King of the Pride lands, then to have her old friend turn up just in time to help them in this battle.
"Nala, you're trying to take on the world by yourself I see" Kagome greeted playfully, she wasn't worried about losing this battle, really it had already been won on the lioness front with them just defeating the last of the hyenas that were being pains.
"Yeah well I haven't had Simba to do it for me in over two years" Nala replied just as playful as she used her claws to tear into the hind leg of hyena to her right.
"So I've heard" Kagome replied before she gave a hard nip to a hyena that was just trying to pass her to get to Nala's hind leg. "But then I never thought that anything would change your stubborn attitude" Kagome countered.
"Unlike you who seems to have undergone a massive change" Nala through back before actually shoving a hyena down the path that the other weaker ones were running down.
"Yeah well, couldn't really stay timid with having to learn to survive now could I" Kagome countered.
"Yeah well at least your back now" Nala said happily as she shoved another hyena. "Where did you get the paint job by the way? Looks great on you; makes you look powerful" Nala complimented.
"From the baboon that took me in the day of the stampede, not like I could come back when Scar was king, I would have got skinned alive" Kagome explained.
"True I suppose" Nala said, having an understanding in where her friend was coming from. With both her brother and father gone, Sarabi would have been Kagome's only defence against Scars rule but even that couldn't really have guaranteed her friend's life. "So is it permanent?" Nala question.
"Nope, will come off with the rain" Kagome answered as she whacked the last hyena with her paw. With her breath slightly panted from the rush of exercise and demand the battle had on her body, Kagome gave the area another once over to make sure the threat had been removed from her home.
And they had, the hyena were cleared out and the rain slowly started to fall.
