The pavement was smoldered in gold and gently crunched under Lucy's black boots. She had just gone out of the Council's building and was en route to Fairy Tail with one goal:

"I'll join." She breathed out and all at once everything came to place. She knew what she's going to do. She knew the consequences. She knew what to let go. But it's all right.
Sometimes you need to get lost to find yourself
For the first time, in a long time…Lucy Heartfilia finally felt she was a part of something. She always knew Fairy Tail had accepted her – and she will always be grateful for the amazing experiences she had – but she had always been so confused. So distraught of why she was there, of why she deserved and was even there. There was always someone to save her – Always! Something to remind her that she can't save herself…and if she can't do that…then how the hell was she supposed to save her guildmates?
What's the point of magic if she can't use it to save her friends?
She was grateful
The laughter, the comfort, everything.
But knew she was spoiled one too many times
"First we'll go back to the Council.." Chris murmured as they set for the Council once more
"Then?"
"..Then it's time to face Makarov"

"Lucy? We're here." Chris was right in front of her. His black orbs peering into her chocolate ones in concern.
The blonde looked away from those onyx eyes, reprimanding herself of being reminded of another who had the same eyes.
"…You'll wait?" "Well, someone's gotta show you to your new apartment." He snorted
Lucy let out a small smile at this. The Council knew her friends would hunt her down once they know she had quit. So they moved her to an apartment with the other trainees and employees the Council had hired for the mission.
"See you then."
The wooden doors stood proud before her. Her right hand rested on its surface and that's when she noticed the pink insignia.
She was very proud when she got it

"Natsu! Look!" The busty blonde proudly showed her right hand. She shoved it right to her pink-haired partner's face. "I got the Fairy Tail mark tattooed!"

"Show me…your guild mark.." Future Lucy whispered. She was on the brink of death, but her eyes were so warm, so full of life as she stared at the pink Fairy Tail mark on her counterpart's hand.
"Your right..hand.." Lucy's voice croaked. Her body shook and trembled.
"I really…wanted to go on more..adven…tures.." She choked out. Hot tears washed the blood down her pale cheeks.
