A/N: Well. It's been a few months, but I'm back! School has been taking up all of my time, but I will be finishing this semester on Wednesday. I'll try to write more during my month and a half break, but I will be working a new job and will be pretty busy. Sooo we will see! ^^; Anyway here is chapter 8!

"Sa...Sasuke. How...how do you think...I did?" Sakura breathes out. She has cuts all over her arms, and a bruise on her forehead. I myself am pretty sliced up, but I'm not nearly as worn out as she. "...Good." She's pretty strong. And her healing abilities will be useful...I hope we won't need to make them used.

"So you do remember all of your jutsus. This is interesting." We turn around and look at the door. Tobi. "And look at you, Sasuke. How hard did she hit you-you have an egg on your head! Looks like she has one, too. Hhahahaa, were you guys just messing around? I can never keep you guys focused." We both glare at him as we turn red. "Tobi. What do you want?" I inquire.

"I just wanted to see how our Sakura is doing. Seems like she's just as powerful as before. That's great news!" He gives her a thumbs up. I watch her give him a fake smile. "Thanks, Tobi. I'm glad I'm a ninja and not some lame bystander anymore." What are you thinking?

"What do you think, Sasuke? Aren't you proud of your girlie? Maybe you should reward her some!" He throws me a small pouch as he chuckles. From the tinkling sound I can tell it's coins. "Thanks. Come on, Sakura." I motion to her and she nods. She thanks Tobi and we walk out. A few seconds later Tobi calls out to us,"Don't have too much fun tonight, you guys! Hhehehe."

"Sasuke-kun, where are we going?" Sakura asked me for the fourth time. "...It's a surprise." I say, again, for the fourth time. "Oh, Sasuke. You're too secretive." She crosses her arms and stops mid-step. We've already gotten out of the tunnels and out into the fresh air. Both of us are now wearing cloaks to hide our identities, although our hoods are still down. "...Seems like you are hiding something, too." I give her a look and continue walking. I hear her shoes crunch and she's back at my side. "I just...I'm not sure about this Tobi person. He acts like he's stupid and a dunce, but I don't think that's really his personality. He's hiding something. I don't trust him."

"I don't either. But we've got to stay with him if we are to achieve our goal, Sakura." She gives me an exasperated look. "Sasuke, I think you're smart enough and strong enough that you don't need him. And Karin and Suigetsu sure don't seem helpful. The only one I don't mind is Juugo. We should take him with us and leave." She puts her arm through mine as we continue walking. "...I'll think about it." I finally mumble. She gives me a grin and then looks at the scenery in front of us.

"What is this, Sasuke?" I smirk. "I heard that this nearby town is having a festival tonight. I thought maybe this could be your reward." The lights dance in front of us as we grow closer to the party. With the sun setting, it looked very beautiful. "Sasuke-kun, you really are the best!" She gives me a tight hug. Shocked, I tense up. Then I slowly put my arms around her, too.

"Okay, let's go have some fun!" She exclaims and suddenly grabs my hand and pulls me to the city. After arriving, we come across a kimono shop. "Would a lovely couple like yourselves want some festive clothing for tonight?" the shopkeeper asks us. Sakura furiously nods her head and drags me along with her into the shop. "Come here, princess, and I'll pick out something beautiful for you to wear." an older woman waves Sakura to herself. "I'll see you soon, Sasuke-kun." She winks and skips away.

"Women." I shake my head and walk over to the men's kimonos. I leaf through many, finding none to be my style. "A handsome man like yourself needs a handsome outfit. Come this way." Another woman pops out of nowhere and beckons me to her section. Sighing, I trudge over to see what she has. Finally I choose a plain dark blue and red kimono. I go into the dressing room to change. I hear the door next to me open and a mumble. "Where's Sasuke? Hmm..."

Should I let her know I'm changing? Hn. She'll find out soon enough.

As I finish with my clothing I unlock the door and step out, only to see Sakura sitting far away and being pampered by one of the women. "Voila! Darling you look beautiful!" I hear her exclaim as I grow closer. Sakura's eyes shift from the woman's face to mine, recognizing who I am she then smiles. "Sasuke-kun, you look great! It's a dark outfit, but it works for you. Thank you for the help, ma'am." Sakura stands up and I can finally see her outfit.

She's wearing an emerald colored kimono covered in a pattern of small sakura blossoms. Wow. "So...what do you think?" She twirls a strand of hair around her fingers, although most of it is up in a bun with a sakura blossom pin. I close my eyes and think about how I should react. Be her caring boyfriend, Sasuke. She deserves it. A voice in the back of my head tells me. I sigh, then open my eyes and give her a smirk. "You look great, Sakura. I'm glad I can be seen with such a beautiful woman." I grab her hand as her face turns a bright red. "Let's pay and get out of here." She nods her head in agreement.

"Sasuke-kun, look at all of this!" I say as I pull him to the sweets shop on the edge of town. "Ooh, I love candy! Don't you, Sasuke?" I smile at him. He gives me a scowl and mumbles,"No, not really. I'm not a fan of sweets."

"WHAT?" I answer in shock. "That's horrible! So what do you like then?" I watch him as he seriously thinks about it. "I guess...tomatoes." Huh? Seriously? "Sasuke, we need to go somewhere and talk about these problems of yours." I elbow him in the chest. He slightly winces but doesn't respond to my playful banter. "Did you want some, Sakura?" I see him point to something so I glance over and see some syrup-coated anko dumplings. Those look delicious! "Sure!" He nods and turns to the seller. "I would like to buy some of those, please. Just one stick." After paying, the man hands them to me. "Thank you!" I say. As I start to eat them Sasuke grabs my hand again and takes me over to a bench overlooking the town. "Those were your favorite." He states as I continue eating the delicious dango.

"Really? Well they sure are yummy...Are you sure you don't want any Sasuke?" I wave it in front of his face. He rolls his eyes at me and says a short no. He then looks at me with a confused look in his eyes, but doesn't say anything else. What's going on in his head? I finish the food and then wipe my sticky hands off on the napkin I was courteously given to by Sasuke. "Thank you, Sasuke. This has been fun so far...It's been nice to get out of that stuffy lair." I grin at him. He nods and looks around us some more. The woman who picked out my outfit had told me about a firework show that would be going on tonight.

"...Why did you pick this seat, Sasuke?" I try to give him a quizzical look, but by his smirk I think he sees through it. 'What, you don't want to see the fireworks show?" He then nods his head towards the sky. "It's about to start, Sakura." As soon as he says this an explosion goes off and a bright light is in the sky. "It's so beautiful, Sasuke!" I stare in amazement. I sense that he isn't watching the fireworks, though, so I look over confused at him. Instead, I see him looking at me with a smirk. What are you thinking, Sasuke? He puts his hand on top of mine and looks up to the brilliant night sky. I feel my face burning so I quickly look up at the lights, too.

A/N: My longest chapter yet. I know, it still isn't too long...I didn't write the fighting scene because no one volunteered to help me ^^; Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. It has more fluff than the last ones have, so I hope it's okay. Please let me know what you guys think! PLEASE REVIEW!
