Anukeh watched from the shadows as Sutekh's Totem was destroyed by those damn interfering puppets of Toulon. Though Sutekh had the powers of ancient magic, he had still failed and that was an unforgivable loss in the eyes of his father.
"Brother, please!" He heard Sutekh cry out as his body was surrounded in a bright light, he had stretched out his hand for his brother to take but Anukeh stayed put. To shame Osiris was to deserve death, he had shamed their family name and all they had stood for. Allowing himself to be defeated by a human no less, and wooden puppets it was a travesty.
"No brother, you shall die as you should. Disgraced..." He whispered as he dissolved into the shadows and heard the anguished cry of his brother's last breath.
To say he felt remorse for his brother would be akin to saying he sympathized with the weak fool and that he did not. He had warned Sutekh of how foolish he was to send the Totem with his own blood for if he were to fail he would suffer, but he would hear none of it and continued with his plan to destroy the humans. In the end Sutekh himself paid the price that he so foolishly swore to enact on those who had stolen the formula for life.
"Master…I have arrived at the requested hotel, I have yet to see Toulon's heir. Perhaps a sweep of the grounds tonight will prove successful" He could hear the telepathic communication with his servant interrupting his current thoughts of Sutekh.
"Find the heir, servant. Time runs short…" Anukeh responded and severed the link of their communication shortly after, he hated for things to drag on when unnecessary. Especially linking his mind with that of a lowly servant; not that he was not useful but he grew edgy of such things. He trusted no one in the end; not even his own servants.
"Your room is ready" Six murmured to the tall elegantly dressed new guest as he opened the door to one of the suites. The dark haired man smiled at him and entered the room nodding his head in approval.
"This will do just fine, thank you" He smiled charmingly at Six, who in turn gave a wide grin of amusement at the display of friendliness the new guest was showing. It was a bit unsettling for him personally since he wasn't used to such things and the heir was a bit reserved when it came to them so it was odd to see that in a stranger.
"If you should require anything else, just see the front desk…eh heh eh heh..eh heh…"Six laughed as he walked away from the room and back towards the down stairs employee lounge where mostly Tunneler and Pinhead hung out at.
"Heads up guys, Heir says she's going into town to look around but I think she's trying to find Decapitron, at least that's what Torch hinted!" Jester exclaimed excitedly and the others looked around at one another in silent contemplation. Just what was she up to?
Leech moved forward and snickered, "How reckless of her! She cannot just go off in search there are those who are aware of us and her stirring up trouble will only lead them here! She should stay put as is"
"It's for Decapitron!" Jester shot back angry that Leech would oppose the return of one of their good friends. What had been going on with her lately? She had so much animosity towards the heir that it was more than simple dislike or 'recklessness'
"We follow orders we do not hand them out or bark them out at or towards our master. Have you forgotten your place, Elsa?" The condescending tone Blade used was not lost on any one of them but they would not oppose his words.
Leech woman glared at Blade and took a threatening step forward as she began to yak until she spit a leech at Blade's face and Jester gasped loudly as the large leech latched onto Blade's cheek. She would dare attack their leader? She was truly going mad!
"Leech!" Tunneler cried out in shock at her actions, as Six and Pinhead along with Torch remained silently quiet just watching the scene unfold. They each held their tongues for their own reasons but all of them could see the rising tension between Leech woman and Blade lately since they had become human.
Blade let out a low menacing chuckle as he swiftly reached up and ripped out the leech attached to his cheek; throwing it carelessly to the ground before Leech woman and ignored the startled gasps as a gash was left on his cheek where the leech attached itself and blood ran down his chin and onto the floor.
"My patience with your antics wears thin; you think your pets can harm me?" He took a few steps towards her and watched with amusement as her eyes briefly flinched at his impending proximity but masked it with the death glare she was giving him. "I do not fear you, Doctor Hester." She growled threateningly as if using his real name would somehow make him stop or make him remember he was human once before the persona of Blade took him.
"It will take a far more convincing show of strength from you to remotely make me consider you a threat but if the moment comes when I believe you no longer have the best interest of the master in mind, I will do what is required in order to protect the Toulon Heir" He whispered the last part in her ear and she heard a loud squish as he left the room. She looked down at the ground to see her precious little Leech was squashed.
Tears welled in her eyes as she slowly lifted the dead leech onto her palm and her lip quivered with the tears she refused to let shed around anyone.
Six watched quietly and could see her rage and the pain coursing through her and he took a step forward with a hand on her shoulder and pointed his chin to the front door, she took his cue and they both walked outside into the sunlight.
"What is going on between you two?" He questioned her after he watched as she dug up a small hole with her bare hands and placed her squashed leech inside and then covered it up with dirt.
"Ask him. He started all of this!" She cried out in anger as her face turned red from the fury she felt at seeing her poor little leech dead because of that white haired maniac! She would make him pay some way, somehow this was not over and it just got extremely personal.
