"Maybe it was nothing." Ruby shrugged.
"Probably… eh, whatever."
"Now then… I'll call Basculegion." Iscan said as he pulled out his Celestica flute and played a song to call him up.

Basculegion breached out of the water and landed in front of everyone. "Legion Bascu!"
"Wow… that's a majestic creature!" N said as Velvet snapped a photo while everyone else looked at him in awe.
Blake, meanwhile, pulled out her scroll.

Weiss casually took a look at her scroll. "Not gonna chance it, are we~?" She teased.

"Nope." Weiss giggled, playfully elbowing Blake.

"Bascu?" Basculegion wondered, spotting the rest.
"My, look how big those teeth are." Kira grinned, causing Blake to shudder.
N walked over to the Basculegion, kneeling down and looking at the Basculegion. "Hey."
"Basculege…" Basculegion stared at N before it smiled. "Bascu!" He said, going into the water and then coming back out with a Splash Plate, handing it over to N.
"Incredible…" Palina said.
"Grooooow!" The two Growlithe barked happily, when suddenly Velvet called out her Ditto.
"Ditto!"
"Huh? Babe, what are you doing?" Coco asked.
"Oh, I just figured those two could use a playmate." Velvet said as Ditto transformed into a Hisuian Growlithe.
"Groooow!" Ditto cried and pounced on the other Growlithe as the duo happily played with the Ditto.
"Okay, that's adorable." Irida giggled.
"I was just about to say that!" Akari smiled.
"Hold it right there!" A voice cried as they turned to see three bandits.

"Mmmph!" Saturn put his hands on his knees as his body crackled with electricity. "Nora… could you go easy on that Thunderbolt next time…!" He grunted.

"Hmhmhmhm~" Candice hummed as she ice skated around her gym when suddenly she got electrocuted. "GYAAAAAAAAAAH!" She yelled as she slipped and fell on her leg. "Mmmph!"
She shook off the pain. "What the heck was…?" She wondered as she felt a stinging pain from her ankle. "Agh! Aw man… twisted my ankle…"

"Hrrrgh!" Bertha grunted as she was leaning on a table for support. "I didn't know back pain would result in harsh tingles! Hooo… it's what I get for being old."

"Ha, and ye said you'd worry about if Hisui could handle me." Gloria chuckled. "It's Nora ye should worry about!"
"You're still on the table." Victor said, causing Gloria to sweatdrop.
"Look, just because bein' rambunctious is in my nature…"
"Who do you think you are?" Palina asked.
"They're the Misfortune Sisters. They're… a thing, I'll give you that." Cynthia said.
"Tch, we're not scared of your Pokemon this time. After all… we're here for that Growlithe!" Charm said, pointing to the three Growlithe.
"...I could have sworn one of them was huge." Clover said, rubbing her head.
"Rumor has it that you're without a Noble… so we'll just take it and force it to evolve for us! Then Team Galaxy will pay for what they've done!" Charm declared, pulling out a Pokeball. "Gengar, Hypnosis!"
"Gengar?!" Cynthia asked in surprise.
"Gengaaaaaaaaar!" Gengar unleashed Hypnosis on everyone, making everyone drowsy… however Rosalina instantly put up a barrier for herself.
Darn, I wasn't quick enough for everyone else! Rosalina thought.
BGM: Funny Goings-On (Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam)
"Quick! While they're drowsy!" Charm said. "Get the big one!"
"...Uh, which one? There's two big ones!" Clover said.
"Just grab the one that's closest to you!"
"Oh sure, just grab the one that's closest to me. News flash, BOTH OF THEM ARE!"
"Here, take a Meowth charm. Heads, you take the one on the left. Tails, you take the one on the right." Coin offered.
"Uh, Coin? Which one is heads and which one is tails?"
"Oh for Sinnoh's sake!" Charm said, pulling out a dagger and carved a number on it. "Here, heads is number seven, tails is nothing!"
"Aw, thank yo-... uh… did they just change positions? I swear I saw them move!"
"Oh who cares, just flip the damn charm already!" Coin complained as Rosalina secretly got everyone out of their drowsiness.
"Uuuuh… heads!" Clover said as she flipped it.
"Then we'll take the one on the left!" Charm said as they picked up the Growlithe and threw down a smoke bomb.

"Oh no… they took Growlithe!" Palina exclaimed. "They're heading straight for Firespit island!"
"This is bad…" Irida growled. "N! Think you can call Lord Wyrdeer for me? I have an idea!" She said as N called up Wyrdeer, where Irida hopped on his back.
"Wyrdeer, take me back to your domain!" Irida requested as Wyrdeer nodded and took off.
"No… this is my responsibility… we need to-"
"Palina, it will be okay." Velvet said. "I have a feeling your Growlithe will be just fine~!" She smiled, winking at her.
"What are you-"
"Groooow!"
"But enough about that, we need to go to Firespit Island and go after them." Byleth said.
"Bascu! Basculege!" Basculegion cried.
"You got it!" Akari nodded, hopping on his back as Willow called out her Lapras.
"No offense, but none of them will fit all of us!" Weiss pointed out.
"Ah! I have an idea." N turned to Manaphy. "Manaphy, you think you could do me a favor?"
"Mana?" Manaphy wondered as N whispered to him. "Mana!" Manaphy saluted and dove into the water.
"Manaphy! Wait, where are you-..." Weiss turned to N. "What did you say to my child?" She glared. "We're in uncharted territory with dangerous Pokemon! I swear, if my boy gets a scratch on him, so help me-"
"Mana Manaaaaa~!" Manaphy returned as they turned to see a squadron of Mantine.
"You were saying?" N smiled.
"...Honey, I am so proud of you!" Weiss smiled happily as they got on the Mantine.
"Hmm…" Marnie stared at the Mantine in front of her. "Kira."
"Yeah?"
"You ever heard of Mantine Surfing?"
"Huh?" Kira tilted her head. "What's Mantine Surfing?"
Marnie smirked. "Follow my lead." She said as she climbed on top of the Mantine, standing on top of the Mantine.
"Wait, don't you need supports for that?" Gloria asked, deciding to go into her Barraskewda form.
"Honey… this is the Hisuian version of Mantine surfing." Marnie smirked, getting in a stance.
"Man…?" Mantine wondered before realizing what she was doing and proceeded to get ready. "Mantine Man!"
"That looks… incredibly dangerous, I think I'll pass." Kira said.
"Suit yourself. Let's ride!"
"Maaaaan!" The Mantine took off.
BGM: Mantine Surf (Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon)
"Looks like she's charging ahead." Cynthia said.
"Looks rather fun." Steven said as the champions looked at each other and nodded, deciding to take Marnie's lead and stood up on the Mantine.
"Well, she did say she and Umber were gonna kidnap me to go Mantine Surfing one of these days." Ruby laughed as she stood on her Mantine. "So why not!"
"Hmmm…" Akari decided to stand on top of the Basculegion. "Let's ride, Basculegion!"
"Bascuuuu!" Basculegion charged ahead as Marnie hit a wave and leapt over some Basculin and Remoraid.
Kira stared at Marnie grabbing one of Mantine's wings and the two of them gracefully flipped. She looked at her own Mantine and slowly rose up from the Mantine, her legs wobbling but she stood straight and smirked as her Mantine blazed ahead. "Wahoooooo!"
A Tentacruel poked its head out of the water… right as Marnie came down as the Mantine landed on the Tentacruel and bounced off. "Cruel!" Tentacruel yelped as Marnie bounced up in the air as the two flipped gracefully and landed on the water.
At that moment, a Gyarados emerged from the water as Marnie looked down, the Mantine looked up as both nodded, then they moved over to the Gyarados. "She's not serious!" Victor exclaimed as the Mantine jumped and landed on the tail of the Gyarados as Marnie grinded against the Gyarados and launched off of the head, the Gyarados roaring in confusion as they both leapt high into the air.
"Look at her fly!" Yang said in awe.
"Go Marnie Go!" Ruby cheered as Marnie continued to flip around in style.
Victor looked at Gloria, and then toward Marnie, and then back to Gloria. He shook his head. "Yup, those two are made for each other." I think my sister's a bad influence…
"WOOO! YOU GO GIRL!" Nora cheered after Marnie gracefully landed in the water.
"I wanna try that!" Kira said as she caught a big wave, descending to get momentum and then ascending to leap over the crest of the wave…
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail!" A Wailord came breaching out of the water.
"WHA?!" Kira yelped as the Mantine flipped to go over the Wailord, but made a not-so-graceful landing as a result. "Phew… where the heck did that come from?" She wondered as Basculegion leapt over the Wailord.
"WAHOOOOOOO!" Akari cheered as Basculegion landed in the water with a big splash.
"...Think we should introduce Mantine surfing when we get back?" Mars asked.
"Honestly, it would be rather fun!" Jupiter admitted with Saturn nodding in agreement.
Marnie glanced over at a small group of Qwilfish. "Huh…?" She wondered. Hisuian Qwilfish? …They look like a Dark Type. She thought, pulling out a Pokeball and throwing it, hitting an unsuspecting Qwilfish in the back and was caught in the Pokeball, and then a firework shot up into the air as Lapras scooped it up and tossed it to Willow.
"I'll give this to her when we get there." Willow smiled as Marnie, Kira, Akari, Ruby, Cynthia and Steven breached over the crest of the wave where some Finneon, Lumineon and even Manaphy jumped out of the water to greet them before they dove back into the water.
"There it is!" Marnie said, spotting Firespit Island as Marnie proceeded to do a corkscrew flip before landing gracefully in the water, then coming to a stop at the beach as they were joined by everyone else.

"Woo, what a rush!" Marnie smiled.
"Wooow… so that's what it's like. Incredible!" Ruby grinned.
"Yeah." Marnie giggled. "By the way, this doesn't count. I'm still gonna kidnap ya one of these days so we can do it in Alola with Umber."
"Aw man…" Ruby pouted before snickering. "Well, what can you do." She giggled.
"That. That was… THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! Ooooh, I knew I sucked at it, but I know there's a lot of untapped potential into that!" Kira said with her eyes sparkling.
"I had a feeling you'd love it. By the way… what's the typing on the Qwilfish here?" Marnie asked. "I've never seen it in that color before."
"Oh? It's Dark/Poison. What, you don't have that typing in your era?"
"Where we come from, it's Water/Poison and it doesn't evolve." Marnie explained.
"Well, in this era, it's a Dark/Poison type… and it can evolve!" Akari said. "I think you just need to have it use Barb Barrage a set amount of times in Strong Style."
"Really? What does it evolve into?"
"Overqwil."
"Interestin'..." Marnie rubbed her chin as Willow hopped off of her Lapras with Palina and tossed the Pokeball over to Marnie. "Thanks."
"So, I guess you have a Qwilfish now." Ruby said.
"Yeah, I sure do-... wait a minute." Marnie narrowed her eyes.
"Is there a fish out there that's a Dark type?" Hop's voice echoed in her head. "Aside from Crawdaunt and the Carvanha line… like… oh! A Qwilfish!"
"I doubt one exists." Bede's voice echoed as well.
Marnie smirked. "Ooooh, I can't wait to show those two and rub it in."
"Mmm…" Cynthia folded her arms. "Something's bugging me."
"What is it?" Steven asked.
"Charm is Bertha's ancestor, right? But I've never seen Bertha use a Gengar before… so this is kinda throwing me for a loop."
"Hmm, an old lady using a Gengar in the Elite Four." Steven rubbed his chin. "Ah! I think I know who does."
"Who?"
"Agatha."
Cynthia raised an eyebrow. "Agatha? I don't see it. Besides, she's in the Kanto Elite four. Maybe… I can't remember if she passed away recently."
"You'd be surprised." Steven said as he walked off.
"I'm still convinced it's Bertha."

"Now then, we need to move. We're close!" Palina said as they hurried off to the peak of the volcano, where they would encounter some Magmar and Graveler that tried to attack them, but were easily defeated when Marnie sicced her new Qwilfish on them, including a few Strong Styled Barb Barrage.
As they got closer, they would see flags up ahead with Arcanine's symbol on it. "We're close." Palina said as they walked inside the arena.

"Ugh, come oooooon! Just evolve already!" Clover complained.
"I don't understand it… we came all this way to use this Growlithe for our own purposes but nothing is happening." Charm said.
"I swear, this Growlithe is giving us a smug look." Coin said.
"That's probably just the heat giving you hallucinations." Clover waved it off. "Ugh, dammit, just evolve already, you dumb mutt!"
"Hey!" A voice called out as they turned to see the heroes before them.
"Oh great, these people." Coin rolled her eyes.
"You're too late! We're getting ready to evolve this Growlithe! Now shoo!" Charm ordered.
"Is that right?" Velvet smiled. "C'mere boy!" She patted her knees and whistled as the Growlithe happily pranced over to her… and then glowed brightly as it was none other than Ditto.

"HUH?!" All three yelled as Palina blinked in disbelief.
Ditto turned around, giving them a smug look. "Ditto Dit~! Ppppthhh!"
"WHAT?! HOW DARE YOU BLOW A RASPBERRY AT US, YOU STUPID PINK SLUDGE!" Clover yelled.
"How were we duped so easily?!" Charm demanded, unaware of Byleth folding her arms and smirking at them smugly.

"Kanto?!" Cynthia said in surprise. "...it was Agatha all along?! …Wait, are Agatha and Bertha cousins? I need to know!"
"Let's not give ourselves headaches over this." Steven said, patting her on the shoulder.
"Calm yourself, sister. I'll take care of this." Clover smirked. "Abomasnow, let's go!" She called him out.
"Abomaaaa!" Abomasnow cried… and then fell on both knees due to the heat. "Boma Boma…"
"Huh?! Why are you… oh my gosh, the heat! LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO TO MY BABY!"
Marnie raised an eyebrow. "Qwilfish… put that Abomasnow out of his misery."
"Qwiiiillll!" Qwilfish unleashed another Strong Style Barb Barrage on it to KO it easily.
"NOOOOO!"
"This was technically your fault." Coin said, calling out her Toxicroak.
"I'll take care of this one." Saturn said, calling out a Gliscor.
"Scoooor!"
"Bulldoze!" Saturn ordered as Gliscor dodged a Poison Jab from the Toxicroak and immediately used Bulldoze to OHKO the Toxicroak.
"NOOOO!" Coin yelled. "How could a handsome man like yourself beat up an unlucky Bandit like me?!"
"Sometimes you're just unluck-... HANDSOME?!" Saturn took a step back in surprise as Mars and Jupiter snickered behind him.
"Who knew your first crush would be yourself!" Mars laughed.
"Sh-shut up!" Saturn grimaced.
"Hmph… fine. I guess I'm up." Charm said, calling out her Gengar and Rhydon.
"Delphox, use Psychic on her Gengar!" Victor ordered.
"Deeeeeeel!"
"Rhydon, protect Gengar!" Charm ordered as Rhydon got in the way.
"Rami, Snipe Shot!" Ren ordered as Rhydon was immediately shot down and knocked out, which gave Delphox the opportunity to throw Gengar around like a ragdoll and threw him into Charm.
"Intel." Rami said, blowing on his fingertips and high fived Ren.

"Rrrgh! You dare make a mockery out of me?!" Charm growled as suddenly, the smaller Growlithe that was near Palina approached the Miss Fortune sisters.
"Groooow! Groooooooowlithe!"
"Arooooooo!" A voice echoed from inside the volcano.
"Was that…?" Iscan wondered.
"It was!" Palina nodded as Growlithe nodded and took a step forward, stepping right on a Fire Stone buried into the ground as it brightly glowed, evolving into Arcanine.
"Arooooooo!" Arcanine howled as Palina looked on in awe.
"Oooooh… shit, this is bad!" Coin grimaced.
"Uh… guys? I think it's about to get worse!" Clover pointed to the sky as they looked up to see a rift opening up and lightning struck the Arcanine.
"AROOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The Miss Fortune sisters paled up. "...Good heavens! I think it's our time to leave!" Charm whimpered as they took off running.
"Wyeeeeeer!" A voice cried as they turned to see Irida running in with Wyrdeer.
"Glad we got here in time!" Irida said as suddenly, Kleavor landed on the ground in front of Arcanine.
"Kleavor! Kleave!" Kleavor cried as Arcanine snarled, both of them charging at each other.
"You brought Lord Kleavor with you?" Palina asked.
"Thought he might be of some help!" Irida smiled. "However, he won't be able to do it alone! He'll need help!"
"Come on, you two! Let's rock and roll!" Nora said as her Tinkatink and Pawmi were ready to go as Ren's Tarountula jumped into the scene.
"What are you…? …Oh, now I get it!" Ren said as he jumped in as N climbed up the rim of the volcano as Marnie, Gloria and Akari went in the arena as well.
"Like I'm gonna miss out on this action!" Kira said, calling out her Articuno.
"Cunooooo!"
"You want to jump in with them?" Yang asked as Ruby looked at the small arena that was surrounded by lava.
"Um… I'll take a rain check."
BGM: Battle! Noble Pokemon (Pokemon Legends Arceus)
Lord of the Isles - Arcanine
Arcanine lunged at the group as Kleavor jumped in and clashed with Arcanine, using X-Scissor to knock the raging Pokemon back as he let out a howl and unleashed Raging Fury. Kleavor jumped to the side, being careful not to jump into the lava where Articuno unleashed Blizzard.
Gloria transformed into her Groudon form and unleashed Precipice Blades into Arcanine, pushing him back. "Brutal Swing!" Nora ordered. "Spark!"
"Tinkaaaa!" Magnhild used Brutal Swing while Defib used Spark on Arcanine. Arcanine glared at the two and used Double Edge, but the two dodged as Marnie had her Qwilfish use another Strong Style Barb Barrage.
Akari did a few front flips and then got on top of the Arcanine, attempting to grapple it. "Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep…" Arcanine bucked her off. "Alright… that's it!" She called out Marina and Torch, as the Octillery used Hydro Pump and Torch used Flame Wheel.
"Kleaaaavooooor!" Kleavor used Stone Axe on the Arcanine where it retaliated with a Crunch.
"Arcanine! Snap out of your fury!" N pleaded as the Arcanine let out a groan, shaking it off and charged, but with Tarotuntula's wired webbing, the Arcanine tripped on the makeshift tripwire and slid into Marnie, pushing her into the lava.
"Mmmph!"
"MARNIE!" Irida yelled in horror.
"Crap!" Kira gasped as N, Cynthia, Steven and the other Hisuians looked on in horror, but Marnie shook it off.
"I'm alright! I'm used to this." She said. "Strong Style Barb Barrage again!"
"Qwiiilllll!" Qwilfish unleashed Barb Barrage, this time poisoning Arcanine as it let out a growl, as it Raging Fury on the Qwilfish but Marnie grabbed the Qwilfish and rolled out of the way right as Gloria used Eruption on the Arcanine.
"Snap out of your senses!" N called out, while still wondering how Marnie was able to live.
"Ice Beam!" Kira ordered as Articuno unleashed Ice Beam at Arcanine. He turned to glare at the Articuno and used Rock Slide, but Articuno nimbly avoided it while Magnhild used another Brutal Swing.
Arcanine turned toward Magnhild and rushed again, but tripped on another wire web trap from Weber while Pawmi jumped over to the Arcanine and Nuzzled it, paralyzing the Noble Pokemon.
"There we go!" Nora fist pumped.
"Arcanine! SNAP OUT OF IT!" N called out to him as Arcanine let out a howl… before he stopped glowing with fury, turning back to normal.

"Phew…" Ruby sighed with relief. "I was worried I was gonna have to step in…" She said as Arcanine shook off the fury as N slid down and hopped over a pool of lava. Arcanine looked over at N and nodded, digging up a spot to reveal a Flame Plate.
"Arooo." He said as N picked it up, taking it for himself.
"Thank you." He said, gently petting it on the forehead right when several Pokemon started to glow brightly.
"Oh!" Akari exclaimed. "Torch, you're-"
"Qwilfish… we did that many already?"
"Weber?" Ren asked in surprise.
"Magnhild…"
The Pawmi, meanwhile, stood up on his hind legs and stood proudly. "Pawmo!" He smiled.
"Typloooo!"
"Spidops!"
"Tuff Tuff!"
"Overqwil!"
"...Oh yeah, I'm definitely showing this off to the guys." Marnie chuckled, patting the Overqwil with her metal arm, where it affectionately nuzzled her. "Heh, love ya too, ya big balloon."
"Oh my gosh, you've gotten bigger!" Nora gushed, hugging her Tinkatuff and Pawmo while Ren looked at the Spidops.
"Not bad." He said as the Spidops nodded, high fiving Ren.
"A Hisuian Typhlosion… nice!" Ruby grinned.
"...Why does he look so high though?" Raven wondered, causing Yang to snicker.
"I was about to ask that!" She laughed.
"Arooooo!"
Everyone turned to see an Arcanine on top of the volcano. "Lord Arcanine…?" Palina wondered as the Arcanine looked at Palina and smiled, then looked down at the other Arcanine and nodded, and before anyone could say anything, it faded away.
"...Was that the father?" Dorothea wondered.
"I think it was." Byleth nodded.
'Now I get it… thank you, Lord Arcanine." Palina smiled and turned toward Arcanine. "Growli-... no, Lord Arcanine, I believe this is where we part ways."
"Arooo." Arcanine nodded, gently walking forward and placed his forehead onto hers, as she did the same.
Suddenly, a wired net wrapped around Kleavor, electrocuting him. "KLEEEEAVEEE!"
Irida gasped. "Lord Kleavor!" She yelled as everyone turned around.
"This is all so very touching." A voice said as they would see Ghetsis standing on the rim of the volcano.

"Ghetsis!" Ruby glared.
"What are you doing with Lord Kleavor?!" Irida demanded.
"I figured we could use the Noble Pokemon for our conquest." Ghetsis smirked. "I thank you for bringing Kleavor to me, miss Irida."
"N-no!"
Ruby growled, immediately using her semblance to get on top of the rim. "Release Kleavor right now!" She yelled.
"Ah, the young rose." He smirked, calling out Darkrai as Ruby lunged at him. Darkrai launched a point blank Dark Void on Ruby. However, Ruby fought through the Dark Void and slashed down at Ghetsis, but he calmly blocked with his staff.
"You fought against the Dark Void?" He asked as he spotted something shiny peeking out of her pocket. "Ah, I see. Cresselia gave you a Lunar Wing to protect yourself from Dark Void. I have a feeling she did the same with the others." He said as he parried her. "Come to me, Hydreigon!" He called out his Hydreigon.
"He's got a Hydreigon?!" Marnie exclaimed in surprise
"Kill her with Hyper Beam!" He ordered as Hydreigon unleashed Hyper Beam, but Byleth quickly flicked her sword, wrapping it around Ruby's arm and yanked her away to safety right as the Hyper Beam fired.
Coco immediately brought out Gianduja Omega and started shooting at Ghetsis, but he pulled up a reflective barrier by tapping into his glove, forcing Coco to get away.
"Hmph! Your efforts amuse me… until next time." He said, dropping a flashbang. Once the flashbang disappeared, Ghetsis was gone… along with Kleavor.

"Lord Kleavor…? LORD KLEAVOR!" Irida screamed before she fell on her knees, her eyes slowly glowing blank as tears started to fall from her eyes. "...What have I done…"
A few minutes later, at a Diamond settlement…
"Adaman! You're gonna want to see this!" A Diamond settler said as Adaman walked out of a tent to see black figures flying toward them in the sky.
"What on…?" Adaman wondered as the figures halted before touching them, as they tilted their bodies to reveal that they were simply Unown. "Unown…?"
"Un! Un! Unown Un Un!" The B Unown cried.
"What's wrong?" He asked as they started to form words.
