"Zzzz…" Qrow snored, his hands behind his head as he laid on his back.
He felt a poke on his side.

"I said… buzz off…" Qrow swatted whatever was poking him away.

"YOOOOOW!" Qrow shot up. "What's the big ide-"
"Piplup Pip!"
Qrow's eyes widened, seeing not one. Not two. Not three. But six Alpha Piplup surrounding him. One of them having used Drill Peck on him.
"...Oh. Uh… hi there." He said as he pulled out his scroll. "Hey uh, Rae? It's me. Can you open up a portal to me real quick?" He asked as a portal opened up. He smirked and stood up, pulling out a Wishiwashi from his pocket. "You want this?"
All six of them had their eyes sparkle.
"Go get it!" Qrow threw the Wishiwashi into the portal as all of them ran inside as Qrow let out a chuckle. "Worked like a charm." He said and walked in.
BGM: Missing You (Kingdom Hearts II)
"What the hell…?" Raven wondered as she looked at six Piplup fighting over a small Wishiwashi.
"Took a nap while waiting for a Piplup to show up. I wasn't expecting six to show up. Also, my back is probably going to be bothering me for a whi-" He noticed everyone looking upset. "What's wrong? You act like we suffered a major defeat or something."
"You can thank that guy." Nora said, pointing to a flagpole that had Melli strapped to it.
"Tinka." Magnhild nodded proudly, dusting her hands off with a smile.
"Okay, what's his deal?"
"You're aware of how Gloria has a crippling fear of the Zubat line, yes?" Adaman spoke up.
"Yeah, why?"
"That man caught an Alpha Crobat when he overheard Gloria confiding to Ingo and used it to exploit her fear. Girl's in catatonia as we speak."
Qrow's eyes widened. "You mean to tell me that man pushed Gloria over the edge?"
"Yes." Adaman nodded. "And not only that, but Ghetsis put some machinery in Kleavor and brainwashed him to where Irida's beside herself, and then we find out that Arezu and Lady Lilligant has been captured. There's no telling where they are."
"Damn… this Ghetsis guy is really starting to piss me off…"
"Not only that…" Rosalina approached him. "But they also put in a lot of malicious wisps inside of Summer. They managed to find a way to overcome my cosmic abilities."
"How many at once?"
"Two area's worth full of them, so that rounds up to about forty."
Qrow grimaced. "Shit… that's horrific."
"Yeah, it did a number on Summer's mentality. I fear we may be running out of time before Summer gets fully possessed by Spiritomb."
"How many of them are left?"
"Twenty, and I have a pretty good feeling that they have the last remaining Wisps where they will strike when we least expect it."
Qrow growled. "Damn this Team Plasma… how the hell are they two steps ahead of us? How did they manage to get around your cosmic powers?"
"Honestly… I wish I knew." Rosalina sighed.
With Kamado…
"Hmmm, this is troubling." Kamado said with his arms folded. "Kleavor, Lilligant and Arezu have been captured by Ghetsis, these time and space rifts are popping up everywhere, that Cresselia that's been hanging around them has also been missing for a while. I swear, something is not adding up to all of this."
"What are you suggesting, captain?" Cyllene asked.
"I do not know, but those people show up from their "Hidden Leaf Village" in Johto arrived right when this Team Plasma shows up… I'm starting to notice a pattern here."
"I purely believe this to be coincidental. They might be here for a noble cause such as stopping Team Plasma." Cyllene said.
Kamado folded his arms. "Perhaps. But still… it's very suspicious."
"Perhaps you ought to take a dip in the hot spring to melt away your suspicions."
Kamado closed his eyes. "Perhaps so… it's been a while since I've taken a soak." He said and walked away.
Cyllene sighed. "Kamado, sometimes I worry about you, you big oaf."
Meanwhile, with Gloria…
"Race Race…"
"Kookie Kook!"
"I appreciate yer concerns…" Gloria mumbled as she was in a fetal position. Her Pokemon, including the ones from her backpack all surrounded her in concern. Even Zacian had dropped her sword and rested her head on Gloria's lap, the latter gently scratching her behind the ear while Eternatus also looked concerned for her.
"How's she holding up?" Ruby asked.
"Still out of it." Marnie responded as Victor, Mavis, Ozpin, WBY, JNPR, Byleth, Bereto, Dorothea, Summer, Cynthia, Steven, N and Galactic were also in the room.
Mavis sighed. "Honestly, Melli's lucky."
"What makes you say that?" Pyrrha asked.
"If Natsu and Erza were here, Melli more than likely would have suffered more than what Nora's Tinkatuff did to him."
"Honestly, I'd be more worried about Gildarts if he were still around…" Ozpin admitted.
"He's lucky Laxus didn't get a hold of him." Nora mumbled.
"So… what was that Pokemon that you used on Melli?" Ren asked.
"Ah, yes… that's Baxcalibur. During my studies of being a Pokemon Breeder, I went back to Paldea and explored the region, also to see if I can get back at that Grafaiai from destroying my old phone."
"...Did you?" Marnie asked.
"Nope. Couldn't find the little guy. However, I went into the mountain and found Baxcalibur when he was just a Frigibax. Here, let me get the Pokedex out…"
"Frigibax, the Ice Fin Pokemon. Frigibax absorbs heat through its dorsal fin and converts the heat into ice energy. The higher the temperature, the more energy Frigibax stores. This Pokémon lives in forests and craggy areas. Using the power of its dorsal fin, it cools the inside of its nest like a refrigerator."
"Arctibax, the Ice Fin Pokemon and the evolved form of Frigibax. Arctibax freezes the air around it, protecting its face with an ice mask and turning its dorsal fin into a blade of ice. It attacks with the blade of its frozen dorsal fin by doing a front flip in the air. Arctibax's strong back and legs allow it to pull off this technique."
"Baxcalibur, the Ice Dragon Pokemon and the final evolved form of Frigibax. This Pokémon blasts cryogenic air out from its mouth. This air can instantly freeze even liquid-hot lava. It launches itself into battle by flipping upside down and spewing frigid air from its mouth. It finishes opponents off with its dorsal blade."
"You saw it yourself with Glaive Rush." Victor said.
"Freezing liquid lava? …I think that would be perfect for Esdeath." Blake chuckled.
"Man, you were not messing around with that big guy." Dorothea said.
"One thing that surprises me was not Victor using Baxcalibur on Melli, but Marnie suddenly becoming hostile with him." Byleth said. "It's like I was looking at a whole different girl."
Marnie blushed a little. "To be honest, that was my first time threatenin' someone like that. I actually had some help from Lord Bowser when I asked him if he could help me get scarier. Shez overheard me talkin' to him so she decided to help out with that."
"That explains a few things…" Bereto nodded.
Byleth chuckled. "Shez…" She shook her head. "That girl's an odd one…" She frowned right after. "I hope she can get past this grudge. She seems like the type of girl you'd want to be friends with."
"If it helps, I've talked with her. She admittedly wants to get past it, but somethin' is holding her back." Marnie explained. "She knows that you're a completely different person than you were back then and she wants to, but again, she doesn't know what's holding her back."
"If anything, I'd say give her time." Ruby said.
Byleth chuckled. "Yeah."
"Victor, if I might ask you something." Mars spoke up. "What was that thing you did with Baxcalibur? I've never seen it before."
"It's called Terastalizing. Only exclusive to Paldea."
"I've heard of that, honestly." Jupiter said. "It's been a recent thing. I believe it's been around since… oh… ten to twenty years?"
"You might want to add a few extra zeroes to those numbers." Mars teased.
"What are you-... oh, right, we're in the past." Jupiter rubbed her head.
"Still, if we go back to our time, it would be around that time period." Cynthia nodded.
"What does Terastalizing even do?" Yang wondered.
"It boosts up their typin'." Gloria spoke up as she looked at them all. "Victor told me how it works the day after we reunited. However, ye can change the typing of the Pokemon if you wish. Like, ye can make the Baxcalibur a Grass type or a Bug type."
"Ooooh, keep people on their toes!" Nora grinned.
"However, you will need a Tera orb for it to work… and that uses up a lot of energy to the point where ye need to recharge it via Pokemon Centers or finding certain crystals that contain Terastal energy. Unfortunately, none exist at this point of time…"
"Ah, but I believe it can also be restored naturally overtime." Victor pointed out.
"So it's like Mega Evolving but there's a limit to it after a battle…" Steven said.
"And Dynamaxing." Cynthia added.
"And even then, sometimes ye will have to wait a while before ye can Terastalize yer Pokemon." Gloria mumbled.
"Ah… so it's not always reliable then." N said.
"There's definitely a strategy to it. Interesting…" Weiss nodded.
"Also, I think yer way off." Gloria said. "Ten to twenty years? Add a one up front… that's what my bro told me anyway."
"I think it was a hundred and forty… I might be rememberin' wrong." Victor admitted.
"I wonder if there's a book that can help us determine the year when we get back…" Blake mentioned.
"Incredible… this Terastalizing phenomenon is quite fascinating." Saturn said.
"So… how are you feelin'?" Marnie asked.
"Not great, admittedly… like I'm startin' to come out of it but…" Gloria shuddered. "That fockin' arsehole… by the way, thanks lass."
"No prob, Gloria!" Nora smiled, reaching over and poking her on the nose. "Boop~!"
Gloria chuckled. "You and yer boopin'."
"It's good that you're coming around." Bereto said.
"Yeah, but…" Gloria shuddered. "Fockin' Crobat…"
"I wouldn't force it." Byleth advised. "Like, let yourself naturally get back into the swing of things. Forcing yourself may make things worse."
"I know…" Gloria rested her head on the wall, sighing.
"Guys…? Where'd Summer go?" Mavis asked.
"Oh no…" Ruby whispered.
"We'll keep an eye on Gloria, you guys go find her." Weiss said as Ruby, Yang, Byleth, Bereto, Dorothea and Mavis ran out the door.
Meanwhile, with Whitley…
"Alright, hit the Cryogonal again with an Agile Style Psyshield Bash!" Whitley ordered.
"Dodge it!" Willow ordered as the Stantler started charging at Cryogonal, when suddenly… the Stantler started to glow.
"Huh?!" Whitley said in surprise as Willow, Kali, Ghira and Chamomile looked on in awe to see the Stantler evolving into Wyrdeer, where it crashed right into the awe-stricken Cryogonal as well.
"Cry…!" Cryogonal yelped, shaking it off.
"What the heck did I just do?" Whitley wondered.
"Your guess is as good as mine." Willow said. "You okay, Cryogonal?"
"Ogona…" Cryogonal nodded.
"Wyeeeer!"
"I'm… still not sure what the heck just happened, but I'm pretty sure Ling is going to be very happy." He said.
With Akari, Coco and Velvet…
The three of them walked near the Galaxy HQ. "I dunno about you, but that potato mochi always hits the spot." Coco said.
"Right? I swear it gets better all the time." Velvet said.
Akari grinned. "It's wonderful~"!
"AIYEEEEEEEEEEE!"
"Huh?" The trio looked inside the HQ as they ran inside to see what was going on, and saw Cyllene on the ground.
"Cyllene, what's wrong? Are you okay? Who's the bastard that did this to you?" Coco asked.
"T-That… b-b-bug!"
"Bug?" The trio turned to see a harmless Wurmple skittering about.
"Wurmple Wurm? Wurm Wurm!"
"Aww!" Velvet smiled. "It's so cute!"
Coco sweatdropped. "That's what you're flustered about?"
"She doesn't like Bug type Pokemon. She gets creeped out and gets a nightmare or two about them." Akari said.
"I… I told you that in confidence…!" Cyllene said as Coco picked up the Wurmple.
"Come on, little guy. Let's get you out of here." She said and walked out with Akari and Velvet walked out.
"Uuugh…" Cyllene shuddered. "I'm glad it wasn't something worse like a Beedrill…"
Back with the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family…
"Blast it all!" Zhang grumbled. "That Spiritomb is taking a toll on her!"
"Rosie, can it be held back?" Luce asked.
"I'm not sure, honestly…" Rosalina admitted. "I swear, it's like it's building a resistance to it."
"Nnngh… aaagh…!" Summer grunted, clutching a rock wall and digging her hands into it. "D-dammit…"
"Come on, Sums… you can take this thing out!" Qrow said.
"Is she okay?" Ruby asked as they approached her.
"No… she had forty malicious wisps put in her all at once, and she's struggling to maintain it." Rosalina said.
"Let me try!" Mavis approached Summer, putting her hand on Summer's back and closed her eyes, her hand glowing. "Easy… easy does it."
Suddenly, a purple mist enveloped her hand. "Gyah!" Mavis yelped, jumping back and holding on to her hand while wincing.
"What's wrong?" Maia asked.
"Nnngh… it's resisting my semblance!" Mavis responded, holding her wrist.
"Come on, mom… you can beat this!" Byleth said.
"You got this!" Dorothea cheered her on.
"Don't let it beat you!" Bereto said as dark purple lines went through her body as Summer looked at them, breathing heavily.
"H-Help…" She whimpered.
"Sums!" Tai called out to her.
"Nnngh…!"
Come on, think… how are we gonna beat this Spiritomb out of her! Ruby thought.
"Misdrea…" The Misdreavus approached Summer.
Summer looked at the Misdreavus, her eyes starting to darken. "You…"
"MISDREEEEAAAA!" The Misdreavus unleashed Phantom Force on her, going through her body.
"AAAAAAAAAGH!" Summer cried, the purple and green color in her body retreating. "Uuungh…"
"Mis Mis!"
"Whoa…" Ruby said.
"Impressive." A voice said as they turned to see Rodin approaching them with an army of Alpha Piplup and Iron Bundle next to him. "I see you have a Flutter Mane."
"Flutter Mane?" Ruby asked.
"Another Paradox Pokemon, this time in the past. Further into the past, I should mention."
"Oh wow… and here I thought it was a Hisuian variant."
Rodin chuckled. "At first glance, you would think… but it's not. It seems to be taking a liking to you."
"Mis Mis~!" Flutter Mane nuzzled against Ruby.
"Yeah, it does."
Rodin nodded. "You should consider yourself lucky it was a Flutter Mane. They tend to be gentle and curious about everything, only attacking when provoked." He said. "By all means, I'm sure you will figure out a way to get that Spiritomb out of her."
"I hope so…" Yang nodded as she turned to Summer who was looking quite fatigued as Rosalina and Raven were near her to catch her just in case.
"By the way, here's your reward for getting these Piplup for me." He said, tossing them lollipops.
"You heading back?" Yang asked as they caught them.
"Nah, I'm still gonna be around for a little while longer. There are still parts of Hisui I haven't seen yet." He explained. "...By the way, I'd keep an eye on Volo if I were you. Something ain't right with that boy."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Byleth asked.
"I'll let you figure that out." Rodin responded as he walked off with the army of Alpha Piplup.
"Deli Del~!" Iron Bundle waved as he went off with Rodin.
"Come on mom, let's go." Ruby said, gently taking Summer's hand as they went back to the village, and once Ruby found a roof to sit on with Summer, everyone else went away to leave the duo be.
"How do you feel?" Ruby asked.
"Terrible, but I'm glad to be alright… kinda." Summer admitted as they heard someone climbing up on the roof as they turned to see Kala sitting down, looking sad.
"Oh, hi Kala. You've been awfully quiet this entire adventure." Ruby said.
["...May I… confide something to the both of you?"]
"Sure, what is it?"
["And you have to promise me not to tell anyone, not even Oran. I can't bear seeming weak in front of him. I mean, the person who took care of him and stayed strong in times of hardship being scared. I can't show him that."]
"Our lips are sealed." Summer said, leaning on Ruby's shoulder.
["This whole situation… it scares me. Do you know what it was like before I met Oran?"]
"Roaming the wild?" Ruby guessed.
['You're not wrong. I had been captured by poachers along with many other Pokemon and before I was brought to Remnant, we managed to escape and I thought I was free. Free from such horrible humans… but now this mission, and those humans seeking to ruin the bond between humans and Pokemon, I'm terrified. I don't want to lose my bond with Oran, I don't… I don't want the world to become the vision that man has."]
"C'mere…" Ruby said, pulling her in for a hug as the Zarude teared up. "It's going to be okay, trust me. It's okay to be scared, it's something I had to learn the hard way. But I promise you, this entire situation will be solved. And if you ever want to tell me or mom what happened when you were captured by poachers, our door is always open."
Summer smiled. "Yeah, what she said." She hugged Kala as well, the Pokemon returning the hug and wiped her tears.
["Thank you…"]
Summer looked at the sky. "I should probably get Oran to bed."
["No need. I tucked him in when you were making Gloria feel better."]
"Oh. Thank you." Summer smiled.

The next morning…
"Are you absolutely sure about this?" Adaman asked.
"We need to protect him no matter what. I failed to protect Lord Kleavor… I need to protect Lord Avalugg, and with his size, that could mean trouble if Team Plasma gets a hold of him."
"...I mean, true, but…" Adaman shook his head. "Don't push yourself."
"I won't… because you're coming with me." Irida smiled.
"I'm what?" He asked in surprise. "I… I mean… yeah, I was gonna come with ya anyway." He rubbed his head with a blush as everyone approached them.
"So what's up?" Akari asked.
"Alright, we just got the green light from Kamado. We're heading to the Alabaster Icelands. We'll be trying to get Lord Avalugg under control before Team Plasma gets him." Irida said.
"Sounds like a plan." Ruby said with everyone else nodding.
"Heeeey! Mind if I go with ya?" A voice asked as they turned to see Kira approaching them. "Sorry about last time, I slept in longer than I meant." She giggled sheepishly.
"Sure, the more the merrier!" Adaman nodded.
"Irida, you're looking a lot perkier." Coco said.
"I failed to protect Lord Kleavor… I'm not going to make the same mistake with Lord Avalugg. Let's go." She said with determination, turning around and taking a deep breath before walking off.
"...Why am I getting worried about you?" Adaman wondered to himself as he walked after her as everyone else, with Kira accompanying them, took off for Alabaster Icelands.
"Hmm…" Ruby hummed aloud.
"Something on your mind, Ruby?" Ozpin asked.
"Oh, I was just wondering how Remnant is holding up."
Ozpin chuckled. "I can assure you, Remnant is more than likely okay."
"Yeah, good point." Ruby giggled. "It's not like space time is falling apart over there or anything." She said as they walked out of the gates.
"Hmhmhmhm…" Kamado walked out of the HQ with a towel over his shoulder.
Above Jubilife Village, the sky above it started to distort… where a star shaped rift opened up in the sky above.
"Look, mommy! There's a star in the morning sky!"
"Hmhmhm-... hmm?" Kamado turned to look at the child and then looked up to see the star shaped portal. "...What in the name of Almighty Sinnoh is that? That's no ordinary space time rift…"
*stares at the copy abilities that were shown off in Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe* ...Sand? They made SAND work? Sand Kirby is now a thing and they made sand work.
