Chapter 2 Plus: Clash of the Titans

Ok, so updating existing chapters doesn't count as "Updating" the story. So now I'm going to delete the chapter and THEN put the new one in. Then all you lovely people will realise I've updated Sonic Skyline. Aren't I smart? Anyway, enjoy the new chapter!

"IT'S YOU!"

The hedgehog and large man stared at each other for a certain period of time. The hedgehog was first to snap out of it.

"Hey, what gives? Weren't you the guy that saved me from the townsfolk eight years ago?" The large man sat back in his chair.

"I am. I was a fool back then. I've seen the state that this world is in. It disgusts me. The only way to bring order into this world is to take over and bring animal kind to its knees. Once that is done, I'll turn everyone into robots and make the world a better place for future generations. The Ivo Empire will rule over the world and no one will stop me!" The hedgehog scoffed.

"If you think I'm no one, think again. I won't let you take over this world. Or any other one as a matter of fact. You will fail. I will make you!" A sly grin crossed his face. "Eggman." Ivo's face went as red as a tomato.

"What did you just call me pincushion?"

"Eggman. I mean, you do look somewhat like one."

"How dare you." He paused. "Actually, that doesn't seem too bad. I actually like it. Thank you. Now kindly DIE!"

Eggman suddenly pressed a button on his chair and a giant fan appeared underneath the hedgehog. The hedgehog was blown into a large air duct above him. He was thrown around until finally popping out of a pipe on the deck of the airship. He dusted himself off.

"Ok, wasn't expecting that."

Eggman appeared from a hatch not too far away in a strange round pod of some sorts and hovered above him.

"It all ends here old friend. Prepare to be destroyed by burnbot!"

"Uh Eggman. That's a Sonic Boom line. Wrong script."

"Really?"

-Checks script-

"So it is. My bad."

-Quickly skims over script before clearing his throat-

"Welcome to the Egg Carrier Hedgehog." He then pressed a button on his Eggmobile. "Egg Smasher, ACTIVATE!"

A large, round metal suit came out of a hanger underneath the Eggmobile and attached to the Eggmobile. Now Eggman was sitting inside it with a glass canopy over his head. The Egg Smasher itself looked like a ball with stubby legs and arms and checker spheres for hands. One of the spheres shot off at the hedgehog. He just dodged it as he made a run for it. He circled around to the back of the mech and double jumped up to the glass canopy. Eggman spotted him too late. The hedgehog smashed the glass and flew back from the recoil. Eggman growled.

"You can smash through anything like it's nothing! Just who are you?"

The hedgehog grinned.

"Everyone calls me Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. Remember that because I'm going to stop you every time you show yourself. So get ready because I'm going to blast through with Sonic Speed!" Sonic ran toward Eggman with supersonic speeds. He pelted him here, whacked him there and pounded him everywhere. Eggman watched with fascination.

"Impressive. He holds potential. I'll give him that. But he's not good enough." Eggman pressed yet another button which activated the electric shield. Sonic was zapped right off the mech. He was singed badly and Eggman's mech was dented and scratched. Sonic grinned.

"Nice try. But it's going to take more than that to stop me!" Standing up, Sonic looked for a weak spot. His search was interrupted when a large ship flew overhead. Eggman seemed as surprised as Sonic to see the townsfolk on-board.

"What? No! How were they not recaptured?" Sonic took the opportunity to grab a ball of metal that had broken off the Egg Smasher. With a big swing, he chucked it at Eggman. It hit the mech and a piece of the chest plate fell off revealing the core of the machine. Eggman whirled back to Sonic, shocked.

"How did you know that was there?" He wailed. Sonic smiled and leaped up. He curled up into a ball and did a "Homing Attack." He crashed into the electric shield and cried out in pain. But he kept spinning faster and faster. Not giving up. Eggman watched as the Egg Smasher's internal machinery began to overheat.

"No! You'll blow us up! At this rate, the explosion will destroy the main engine of the Air Carrier. That will-"

"Everyone's out. I won't stop until YOU ARE SLEEPING WITH THE CLOUD DRAGONS!" with a final burst of strength, he tore through the mech's core. Eggman's face drooped.

"No way…" The Egg Smasher exploded and sent Eggman and Sonic flying.

"I'LL BE BACK!" He screamed as he became a twinkle in the dark sky. Sonic crashed back onto Raceway Island, leaving a large crater in his wake. He slowly got back up and gritted his teeth.

"Yeah. And I'll be waiting Eggman." Then he blacked out as the air carrier began to explode, slowly sinking into the white abyss below.

"Yes, yes. Very good. Progress is going well. The next couple of chapters probably won't need too much work, (Aside from chapter four which needs a serious dialogue injection.) so expect to see them soon. See you for the next chapter!
