Chapter 33: Snow Way Home
It was the next day on Christmas Day, Hop Pop is sleeping on the beanbag chair, Polly is sleeping with Domino on the cat bed, and Sprig is sleeping with Anne on her bed. They were all sleep peacefully in her room, but all of sudden, both Oum and Bee burst through the door, wearing their same outfit for Christmas Day.
"Merry Christmas!"
Anne and the Plantars woke up with eyes went wide, sat up, and smiles at her parents.
"Merry Christmas, mom and dad!" said Anne smiling.
"Wait, Christmas is still here?" Sprig asked.
"That's right. it's time for open presents." replied Oum.
They all gasps. It only took a few seconds when Anne and Sprig change their clothes into their winter outfit while Hop Pop wears his original attire. They all went downstairs until they gasp softly seeing all the presents were under their Christmas tree. Domino is sleeping on Frobo's head which he likes cat sleeping on his head.
"Wow!" said The Plantars with unison.
They walked over to see which presents belongs to while Bee approach when helping them out.
"Which one is mine?" Sprig asked.
"Wait, there's mine!" said Polly.
"Ooh! Is this mine?" Hop Pop asked.
"Okay, before we begin, let's gather up your presents and see which one is yours." said Bee.
While Anne's dad is helping them out, Anne and her mother were watching them gathering the presents. Then all of sudden, Anne realized something.
"Hey, mom." said Anne.
"Yes, Anne?" Oum asked.
"There's something I wanted to show you something. Could you give me a second or two?"
"Of course."
"Great! Be right back."
Anne ran upstairs to her room. Oum took a glance at the empty plate and a glass cup where milk and cookies are. She knew that Santa must've stop by for deliveries, but then she looked at the envelope that was next to a cup. She picked it up curiously and read the front says "Anne Boonchuy". She raised her eyebrows. And then, Anne came back downstairs when she approaches.
"I'm back."
"That was fast." said Oum when setting down an envelope.
"Yeah, took me realize that I found something really special." replied Anne.
"What is it?"
"It's for you." Anne reveals her small present that's wrapped up.
Oum gently took the present and unwraps the ribbons. Once she opens the small present, she gasps softly. Her mother picked up a small butterfly trinket with sparkles all over it. She smiles softly with a bit of tears. She looked at her daughter smiling.
"I thought I found a perfect whenever I got back home from Amphibia. I know how much you love butterfly." Anne explained.
Oum gave her daughter a warm hug as and she hugged her back.
"It's perfect. Thank you." said Oum softly.
"You're welcome." replied Anne.
Mr. Boonchuy is sitting on the floor watching Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop unwrap their gifts. Sprig receives a Tarantulad action figure, Polly receives a mini turret toy gun, and Hop Pop gets a book titled "How to Direct".
"Whoa! A Tarantulad action figure!" Sprig amazed.
"Aw yeah! A toy gun!" said Polly delighted.
"Well, what do you know. A book to direct." said Hop Pop.
"You like it? I picked up while my wife and I went to shopping." said Bee.
"Are you kidding? I love it!" replied Sprig.
"Thank you, Mr. Boonchuy." said Hop Pop thanking him.
"Of course." replied Bee.
Anne and her mother saw everything. Anne took a glance and picked up an envelope, but when she opens the envelope, she gasps.
"(gasp) Guys, it's from Santa!" said Anne.
"Santa?" Sprig asked.
"What does it say?" Polly asked.
"It says..."
"Dear Anne, I heard good things about you. I can never imagine how you stood up against that giant robot that's been hacked last night while all of your friends are supporting you to fight back. Whenever there's trouble out there, do please be careful. I heard what happen back then when you were missing, but I'm glad that you made it home along with the Plantars. Do not worry about your friends, Sasha and Marcy they will always be there for you. I know how much you miss them more than anything. Never give up. Merry Christmas Anne.
Signed, Santa Claus.
P.S., your friend, Mickey wrote me a letter to send a letter to you."
Anne smiles softly at the letter. She couldn't believe that Mickey wrote a letter to Santa to wrote letter to her. Sprig gently took the letter and read it.
"Is this real?" Sprig asked.
"Yeah, dude. Santa is real." replied Anne softly.
They heard a doorbell. Anne walked over to the door and open it where it shows Eddie, Bailey, and Kettle standing in front of her smiling.
"Merry Christmas!"
"Hey guys, Merry Christmas." Anne greeted.
They walk through the house while Anne closes the door.
"Thank you so much for coming over."
"Yeah, thought we could drop by for a visit." replied Eddie.
"Hey guys!" Kettle waved.
"Merry Christmas!" Bailey greeted.
"Hey! How's your Christmas morning?" Bee asked.
"It was going great." replied Bailey.
"Yeah! I send a letter to Santa and I got my new gifts!" Kettle pulls out three books from her bag.
"What is that?" Sprig curiously asked.
"It must be some sort of chapter books." Hop Pop guessed.
"It's not just any books. It's Cynthia Coven! The one that Marcy showed me this." replied Kettle.
"I don't know what this is, but that's nice." said Sprig.
While everyone's chatting, Anne, Eddie, and Bailey were staring at them smiling.
"Hey, Eddie. Thanks for helping us out last night." said Anne.
"No problem. I mean, Mickey's the one who helped us out. If it weren't for me, we wouldn't be able to get there on time." replied Eddie.
"If I didn't end up in Toontown, I would never be amazed to meet all of our favorite cartoons and celebrities. Besides, I might end up on traffic in L.A."
"Ha, yeah right."
Suddenly, Eddie heard a sound from his phone. He pulled out his looking at the text. He took a glance at Anne.
"Could you excuse me for a moment? It's something about... personal."
Anne knows what he means.
"Sure."
"Thanks."
Eddie left the area as he went to the garage. He looked at the text on his phone. Eddie never thought how worries his parents were. He hasn't seen them for quite a while for over six months. He hasn't heard about them, talk to them, or seeing each other. He regretfully sighed and answer the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey, dad."
"Eddie?"
"Yeah, dad. It's me."
"Son, where are you?! We were so worried about you!"
"I know. It's been a while."
"Me too. How's Bailey?"
"She's fine. We help each other out since I moved in."
"Eddie, about what happen back there..."
"Dad, it's fine. It's just..."
Eddie pauses for a moment. He couldn't even talk about how he found out about Anne. Or reunited with Marcy as a spirit. Even if he did tell his parents, then they'll be heartbroken or even worse.
"It wasn't your fault. You just got a new job. That's all."
"I didn't get the job yet."
"What?"
"You heard me, your mother and I decided that we should stay here. We can't leave without you and your sister."
"But, what about your job?"
"Son, we decided to cancel our moving and we couldn't leave you two behind. I was wrong for everything. I'm just a sorry excuse for being a father."
"Don't say that! I may be blamed you for all this, but don't you ever say that to yourself. I'm sorry that I left you and mom when I moved out without telling you, but I couldn't leave everything behind. I got my life, my girlfriend, my sister..."
Eddie paused for a moment. He took a breath when he almost yelled at his dad on the phone. His tears started to shed a bit, but couldn't let it out loud. Eddie tries to stay strong.
"Eddie. We are not mad at you. We were worried because we love you. We would never leave you or Marcy behind. Your mother cares about you. She knew we couldn't leave a family member behind. I know how hard it is to move on, but I promise you that we will never leave you or Marcy behind."
"(sniff) I know. It's just... it's just..."
"I know. We went to church to pray to God. Then we pray to our ancestors. For you and your sister. We loved you... more than anything."
"(sniff) Thanks, dad. I love you too."
"Whenever you're ready to come home, we'll give you plenty of time. It's up to you."
"Thanks, dad. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas to you. Take care."
"Yeah, you too."
Eddie ended the call. He stops crying when wiping his tears. He could never imagine how his parents decided to choose him and his sister over the job out of the state. He really didn't mean to abandoned his parents, but he moved out to stay with his girlfriend to find his sister.
And now that Sammie came to Earth, she told him everything about Marcy that's been stranded in Amphibia. How was he going to tell them by all this? Then suddenly, a green butterfly approach when the light glows showing Marcy as a spirit, but she sadly smiles. Eddie looked at her as he smiles back.
"Was that dad?" Marcy asked.
"Yes, Marcy. They are staying." Eddie answered.
"You didn't tell them anything?"
"No, but if I did, how could they understand at a time like this?"
"Eddie, I didn't mean this to happen. It's just... I don't want to lose the people that I truly cared about."
Eddie gave his spirit sister a hug gently.
"None of this is our fault. Our parents were worried about because they loved you. I promise that I will bring you back home."
"But what about Anne?" Marcy asked sadly.
"She'll forgive you. She loved you more than anything. We will never leave you behind."
Marcy smiles softly. She really knew that her parents choose to stay rather than moving out to look for her.
"I love you, big brother."
"I love you too, little sister. Let's head back inside and celebrate Christmas."
"That'll be nice."
Eddie went back inside while Marcy floats behinds him. He went to the living room and saw that Anne and her family has already open their presents. For the Plantars, they have never been so happy at this moment.
Sprig got some superheroes action figures, new clothes for him to fit, new tennis shoes, new basketball, some dinosaur toys, and lots of book to read about animals. Polly got some new clothes, an RC car, manual book of gadgets, and her purple lightsaber toy.
Hop Pop got some new clothes for his disguises, a dictionary book, a mug says "World's Best Actor", and a model kit boat. Anne has her new clothes and jacket, new games and DVDs, and some anime toys like pocket monsters from Japan.
Both Eddie and Marcy smiles warmly at them.
"I wish I was here to celebrate Christmas with you." said Marcy.
"Don't worry, we can celebrate again whenever you like it." replied Eddie.
"Yeah, hey, is that a mistletoe?"
"What?"
Eddie looked up at the mistletoe. Bailey approached to her boyfriend. She noticed that too. They looked at each other as they blushed. Eddie took Bailey's hand. Their hands felt warm. They took a glance at their hands and then look back at their eyes.
Marcy knew what's going to happen next. So that's when she decided to do the old-fashioned way. She raised her arms to reach the teen's head and move together to touch their lips.
They were both stunned at first, but they accepted the kiss to share their true love. Nobody noticed when Anne saw this and took a picture from her phone. Both Sprig and Kettle looked at Eddie and Bailey sharing their kiss.
"Aw! Look how cute they are?" Kettle cooed.
"Are they kissing?" Sprig asked.
"Yeah, dude. It's all about true love." replied Anne.
"Ah, that reminds me."
"Like what?"
"Remember you tried to put me and Ivy together?"
"Oh yeah, I remember that part. Good thing that you two love birds are couples."
"Yeah, I wish I could see her again." Sprig sighed.
"Don't worry, we'll figured out to get you back home. I promised."
"Thanks, Anne." Sprig gave Anne a warm hug.
"Me too, buddy. Me too."
Meanwhile in Amphibia, when Wartwood was covered in snow during winter. We look to the Plantars household from the inside, Sasha was seen reading at Anne's journal. It has been a month since that incident and rally up the frogs to stand against the newt king.
Sasha has already setup the tree that was decorated with different kinds of ornaments and a starfish is on top of the tree. It was her first Christmas in Amphibia, but without Anne and Marcy. Most amphibians don't celebrate any kind of holidays from Earth, but they celebrate their own holiday tradition. Sasha can never understand anything.
She looked at the page where she once read where she has found it. She remembers the day for dinner or the music concert. She remembers everything back in Newtopia. The rebellion, betrayal, the fight, all of it. Sasha felt like she blamed herself for all this. She sighed sadly.
Suddenly, the door opens gently when Grime enters with concerned look.
"Sasha? Is everything alright?" Grime asked.
She looked at Grime smiling a bit.
"Yeah, it's fine." replied Sasha.
"Are you sure?"
Sasha nodded.
"(sigh) Sasha, I know how much you missed your friends, but you can't struggle to move on. We both know that Anne and the Plantars went to Earth. I'm starting to concern about how much you worried about Marcy."
"I know. I could've just saved her, but what kind of a friend that I turned out to be. I mean... it's my Christmas here without my friends. No presents, no family, nothing. It's just... me... alone."
Sasha close the journal. Grime was worried about his lieutenant, but a soldier should never be worried. He knows what he has to do.
"You're not alone. Come." Grime exit the house.
"Where are we going?" Sasha asked.
"There's something you should see."
Sasha put on her warm coat and her cloak on. She walks through the door and close it behind. Grime guided his lieutenant to a spot where they used to dine outside. Until then once they reached it, Sasha took a glance, but gasp.
There were some townsfolks wearing their coats and scarf standing outside by the table waiting for her. Ivy and her mother, Felicia and her grandmother Sylvia were holding trays of cookies. Maddie and her father are holding their breads along with her little sisters, Rosemary, Ginger, and Lavender.
Mrs. Croaker is carrying her homemade pie. Stumpy is holding his homemade recipe. Wally is holding his own gift. Mr. Loggle carried his woodcraft gift. Mayor Toadstool and Toadie stood there smiling at them. Most of the townsfolks were there for her.
Sasha couldn't believe how everyone is there for her. A soldier was in a mix of surprised and confused. She felt touched.
"What's all this?" Sasha asked softly.
"We thought we could help you to celebrate. We don't know what Christmas is all about, but we understand now." Ivy explained.
"It's a good thing I gave some ice repel to all of us so that we don't have to be frozen forever until spring." Maddie added.
"Now we get to have some festive together." Wally added.
"We know how... much you miss your friends... like we do." said Mr. Loggle.
"You did this... for me?" Sasha asked when she felt touched.
"Sasha, you work so hard for all this. I say we return you a favor." replied Mrs. Croaker.
"Even though, you could be selfish all the time, but you're still a good friend." Toadie added.
Sasha smiles warmly at them. Grime nodded gently.
"Thanks, you guys." Sasha thanked them.
"Don't mentioned it. Tonight, we feast together, tomorrow we will gather our forces throughout the lands, and stop King Andrias' conquest plans at all cost." said Grime.
Sasha gave her captain a big warm hug.
"Merry Christmas, Grimesy."
"I still don't know what this means, but thanks."
Sasha lets go of her hug. They walk over to the table where everyone set their food down and dine themselves. They started to enjoy themselves b chatting about their good times. Bessie has approached along with Joe Sparrow while MicroAngelo is on top of Bessie's shell. Sasha took a glance at the snails and the big bird smiling.
Sasha pulls out her phone to look at the photos of herself with Anne and Marcy at home celebrating Christmas. She remembers that day when they used to hang out. She looked up in the sky at the red moon with stars gazing all over.
"Merry Christmas, girls. Please stay strong and be okay."
Meanwhile back on Earth from that evening at the House of Mouse where it was all snowy at Toontown. Every characters and their friends were invited to celebrate Christmas at the nightclub. The Boonchuys and the Plantars were at the VIP with Eddie, Bailey, and Kettle.
The three of them had their first visit and already introduced to everyone that they met last night. Kettle was all amazed for each character. Bailey was surprised when the club was decorated for Christmas like golden ribbon and red bowties. Eddie could never imagine how amazing things are.
For that moment since they already have their dinner and watching cartoon shorts, Mickey has already appeared on stage with Minnie, Donald, and Daisy to give them announcement. He still wearing the same tuxedo from the other night.
"Alright everybody, before we wrap things up, I would like to remind ourselves how brave we are by stood up against the king by controlling the robot. If weren't for my fans, we won't be able to made it on time, but however, we should be really thankful for being Anne's friends. I can never imagine how amazing we truly inspired her for all things we've been through together."
Anne felt touched for Mickey's speech. Her mother put her arms around her daughter's shoulders to give her a hug. Pluto approached as he put the package at the table. Sprig took the package, open the lid, and holds out some pins. Anne noticed when there are four pins of herself, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop.
"Hey, that's us!" Sprig surprised.
"Wow! I look great, but they forgot my legs." said Polly.
"That seems nice." Hop Pop remarks smiling.
Anne looked at herself, but with two leaves and a stick on her hair. She smiles warmly at Mickey.
"Mickey, thank you."
Just then, the music starts with a "Jingle Bell" until Minnie setup two pictures frame of Sasha and Marcy on the wall by the VIP table. Jiminy Cricket lands on the table by his umbrella. He turns around and use his umbrella to conduct the music when Lumiere at the prop fireplace on stage next to a Christmas tree as he started to sing.

Lumiere: Here we are, warm and cozy by the fire's glow
(Belle and the Beast got off from the table first.)
Belle: Singing songs and stealing kisses under the mistletoe
(Timon and Pumbaa got off in second.)
Pumbaa: We've finished our feasts
(Goofy exit the kitchen along with the Penguins)
Goofy: Had the tastiest treats
Ariel: But the Spirit of Christmas just isn't complete
All: Without true friends and family
And the memories we recall
(All of princesses, princes, animals, toys, and seven dwarfs left the table to get on stage while Dumbo flew pass them.)
Simba and Nala: It's the love we share that fills the air
All: And makes this the best Christmas of all
(The Boonchuys, and the Plantars joined on stage with Mickey and Friends. Timon and Pumbaa approach Sprig as the meerkat give his present to 11-year-old frog when he opens the lid and pulls out "The Lion King 1 1/2" DVD and he smiles.)
Timon: Something special underneath the tree
(Cinderella is holding her mice friends, Jaq, Gus, and Mary stand next to Prince Charming while two blue birds show a blue Thai dress traditional to Oum, much to her delighted.)
Jaq, Gus, and Mary: We hope it fits you perfectly
Mickey: (speaking) I'm making a wish on a sparkling light
Aladdin and Jasmine: But that's not what makes this a magical night
Flynn-Fletchers, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, Jeremy, Stacy, and the Fireside Girls: It's our true friends
Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bo Peep, and the Toy Gang: And family
Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, and Fifi: And the memories we recall
Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf: That we recall
All: It's the love we share that fills the air
And makes this the best Christmas of all
(While they are singing, Eddie took a glance at Spirit Marcy smiling at them. She nodded at her older while her older brother nodded back while singing.)
Boonchuys, Plantars, Mickey and Friends: It's good friends and warm wishes that makes this the best...

(Music ends)
Everyone is on stage as they all sing together. The Boonchuys and the Plantars takes the center with Eddie, Bailey, and Kettle while Spirit Marcy levitates behind them. Jiminy Cricket is on Anne's shoulder.
The right sides are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Max, Huey, Dewy, Louie, Webby, Scrooge, Della, Jose, Panchito, Launchpad, Horace, and Clarabelle stood next to Cinderella and her prince holding the the mice, Fairy Godmother, Merlin, Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Timon on Pumbaa, Zazu on Rafiki's stick, Belle, The Beast, Tiana, Naveen, and Louis.
Penguin Waiters, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Fifi, Lady, Tramp, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bo Peep, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Hamm, Rex, Slinky, Bullseye, and Little Green Men are in front when small.
The middle besides the humans and the frogs are Candace, Jeremy, Stacy, Linda, Lawrence, Ariel, Eric, Melody holding Sebastian, Peter Pan, Alice, White Rabbit, Baloo holding Mowgli, Bagheera, King Louie, Moana, Maui, Snow White and her prince.
Phineas, Ferb, Perry (in pet mode), Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, Fireside Girls, Carl, Russell, and Dug are standing in front of teen and adults while Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey stood in front of Snow White and her prince.
The Left sides are Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven with Olaf on his back, Merida, Rapunzel with Pascal on her shoulder, Eugene, Maximus, Aurora, Prince Philip, Jumba, Pleakley, Geppetto holding Pinocchio, Pocahontas with Meeko on her shoulder, Mulan, Shang, Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebes holding their son, Zephyr, and Roger Rabbit.
Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Lumpy, Christopher Robin, Bambi with Thumper on his back, Pongo, Perdita, Lilo, Stitch, Angel, Mushu holding Cri-Kee, Nick, and Judy are in front of each adult.
Tarzan, Jane, and Terk are on Tantor from the back of the right standing next Hercules, Meg, and Phil on Pegasus when flying. Aladdin and Jasmine are on Magic Carpet while Abu is on his partner's shoulder as the carpet levitate next to Genie holding his microphone.
The Three Little Pigs are riding on Dumbo with Timothy when the elephant flies. Elliot the Dragon stood in the left side of the back next to a Christmas tree.
Mickey walked over between Anne and Sprig as they all smile together.
"Gee, thanks for letting us share our Christmas spirit with you. Haha! Merry Christmas, everybody!" said Mickey.
Then it shows Tinker Bell flying past each of them as she raises her wands to the star on top of Christmas tree to set her pixie dust all over the tree before this chapter concludes like the end of the episodes.
