Before I get started, I was planning to mashup both "Olm Town Road" and "Mother of Olms", but then again it might not work. I just wish that they could just mased up all at once instead two separate episodes with other episodes. As for the reminders, I do NOT want any insults or spam for that chapter. Amphibia: Calamity War
Chapter 52: Olm Town Road
During that day, Team Calamity and the Resistance are hanging out in Sasha's Chamber room. Last night, Sasha's team have taking the weapons and supplies from the Marauders that they stole and then blows up the camp. So now, they've been organize everything.
Loggle carried some crates of supplies, Hop Pop is reading some progress, Anne is erasing the chalkboard after the mission success, Wally is reading the note while riding on Frobo, Maddie smiles that her sisters have their small daggers, Grime is cleaning swords, and Mrs. Croaker is putting away some sacks into the barrel.
Mickey, Donald, and Goofy were looking at the map with battle strategy about the plan while Jiminy Cricket is writing down his journal. Minnie and Daisy were setting some crates down next to the barrel, Pluto is napping, and Eddie is reading his sister's journal that they brought back with, right next to Bailey and Marcy as the spirit girl is listening to Alex and Kettle's chatting.
"So, let me get this straight. You went to that place where all rides are?" Alex rephrased that question.
"That's right!" Kettle nodded.
"How many are there?"
"Um, a few."
"A few?! That's a lot of rides!"
"Wanna see some photos I got? Here, this is where we take." Bailey shows some photos from her phone to Alex when he looked awestruck.
"Whoa!" Alex astonished.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Bailey asked.
"I wish I was there." said Marcy, feeling like she's missing out all the fun.
"Don't worry, kiddo. We'll figure this out, someday." Eddie assured his sister.
Just then, Sasha enters the chamber to have her announcement.
"Alright team. We've been on a roll destroying factories, taking down marauders." said Sasha when everyone cheers, but then she slams her hands down at the table to have them quiet. "But don't even think about celebrating."
Everyone went silence, but Donald crosses his arm much to his dismay.
"Ah, phooey." Donald mumbled.
"All of this is barely put a dent in Andrias' armor and if we don't act fast, he'll be ready to invade other worlds soon. We need an actual plan. Ideas, go!" Sasha waits as the amphibians started to think until Sadie speaks.
"What if we had free bagels on Fridays and Mondays? Oh, you mean to defeat Andrias?" Mrs. Croaker puzzled.
"Yes! We don't have time for bagels." replied Donald.
"Donald's right. We have to do something and we are running out of time." Minnie agrees.
"We need to act fast. Be smarter, not harder." said Mickey.
"Hey, Anne. Remember the page that you showed me from Marcy's Journal?" Eddie asked.
"Oh! I almost forgot!" Anne realized what he's saying before she take Frobo's head from Wally's feet as the frog fell and then set him down at the table. "While we were back home, we saw this old vase with amphibian writing on it."
She insert her phone inside of Frobo's mouth and then his eyes shoots projects the photo of the vase with the amphibian writing. They all looked up to the photo that Anne takes back home.
"Hey, isn't that the vase what I just saw?" Goofy asked as he remembers.
"Let's see. It says 'Seek the Mother of Olms, she will guide you to your destiny.'." Mrs. Croaker reads.
"Cryptic. What's it mean?" Sasha asked.
"We don't know, but we found this message on earth, so it must be important." replied Hop Pop.
"(scoff) All of this isn't much to go on. Plus, no one's seen an olm for decades." said Grime as he explains about the olms while polishing the sword, but until…
"We have!" Sprig and Polly appeared out of nowhere, thus scaring Grime.
"Lysil and Angwin. The Olms that almost ate us in Quarreler's Pass." said Polly.
"Wait, wasn't that the place where we dropped you off for you two to get along?" Hop Pop puzzled as he remembered.
"Darn right!" Sprig answered.
"Huh. Anyone knows any friendlier, less-murderous Olms?" Sasha asked her teammates.
"Meh." All went shrugged.
"Murderous Olms it is! Anne, Plantars, and Toons, you're with me. Grime, you're in charge until we come back." said Sasha as the toad nodded.
"Wait, I'm going with you." Eddie jumps in.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Marcy is my responsibility and I'm the only one in this family who is smarter than anyone along with her." replied Eddie before turn his head at his girlfriend. "No offense."
"None taken." said Bailey with Marcy smiling at them. At least, no one sees her spirit form, but the three of them.
"All right, anyone else?" Sasha waited for someone, but none of them speaks. "Good, let's move out!"
Anne, Sasha, and the rest of the team walks out from the chamber while Eddie hugs Bailey since he volunteers to go with them.
"You stay here and look after the kids." said Eddie.
"Okay, but be careful." replied Bailey.
He nodded and then rushed off to catchup with the others while Marcy magically transform into a green butterfly and went to catch up with them as well. That only leaves Bailey, Frobo, and the rest of the team that were in the room.
"So, you guys wanna watch the movie?" Bailey asked.
"Yeah!" They answered when smiling.
Few minutes later, Team Calamity were riding on Joe Sparrow as the big bird flew over sky high. Anne introduce her cartoon friends to Joe Sparrow including Eddie that was all amazed and he remembers what he has seen from his sister's journal.
Some will have to make room while Mickey and his friends are in the big pouch in front like Hop Pop used to sit there and they all looked amazed how high they've been up there. That is until they have arrived at the Quarreler's Pass.
"Never thought we'd be here again." said Sprig as he remembers where he Polly used to been going through a lot of this together.
"Hey! That wasn't there before." Polly sees something unusual and points it out.
They all looked down and see what Polly saw, but it turns out to that there was a giant drill that looked like a giant frog with Frobots patrolling. It was digging to collect the resources by following orders.
"Ugh. Yikes. Go low, Joe." said Sasha when telling Joe Sparrow to go lower and evade the Frobots without getting caught until he landed to the ground, safely.
Once Joe Sparrow lands, they got climb off of him and they walk straight to the cavern where Sprig and Polly got out from their exit. The green butterfly flew with the others until she magically transform back into her spirit form.
"Gosh, it's really dark in here." said Mickey.
"It sure is." Jiminy agrees standing on Mickey's shoulder.
"Are you sure this is the right place?" Daisy asked.
"I think so." replied Hop Pop.
"So, how do we get these Olms to come out?" Anne asked.
"They could be anywhere. Don't ya think?" Goofy ponders.
"Hmmm..." Polly was thinking until she had an idea when she pinches Sprig on his right leg.
"OW!" Sprig yells and grabs Polly by squeezing her whole body with his hands. "Hey! Cut it out!"
"Yes, good! Whine LOUDER!" Polly screams really loud, causes an echo in an entire cavern.
And then it happened as they felt tremor, but then there were two eyes with pink and purple pupils, then respectively, wake up. They come out of their hiding and revealed to be Lysil and Angwin, the conjoined twin olms. One has a pink and the other is purple. They sniff to see who they are while they were all shocked except these two.
"Hey! It's those squabbling frog siblings." said Lysil after she sniff the same scent.
"This time we're going to actually eat you. And your little friends too!" Angwin added when she start to attack them, but Sasha pushes her friends out of the way while Eddie pushes his cartoon friends to the opposite.
"Sure. Go ahead and eat us." Sasha draws her silver sword out and then pointed the blade at Angwin's neck. "We'll just carve our way out of your stomachs."
"And then I'll have your heads on my wall." said Eddie after draw his katan sword out when pointed his blade up to Lysil, but farther away from his neck.
"Whoa. Okay, point taken." Lysil accepted his surrender so easily while Angwin rejoins with him.
"Literally." Angwin added.
"I thought so." Eddie smirked just he put away his sword.
"We just want to talk to you." said Sprig.
"Do you guys know the Mother of Olms?" Anne asked, however the olm twins gasps.
"(gasps) How do you know about Mother Olm?" Lysil points at them.
"You Dum-Dum! Now they know we know her." Angwin slaps her.
"YOU'RE THE DUM-DUM!"
"Hey! Guys! Focus!" Anne snaps her finger twice to get them attention.
"Eh, sorry, sorry. Mother Olm is the oldest, wisest Olm in the world. Keeper of ancient secrets and prophecies." said Angwin.
"She lives in our homeland, the subterranean city if Proteus." Lysil added.
"Prophecies? That's what Yen Sid was talking about." Mickey remembers as he mumbles.
"Really? Well, in that case. I'll have to write down on my journal." said Jiminy when he write down with his journal.
"Can you take us there?" Anne asked.
"We could, but it would be pointless. Olms are famously suspicious of outsiders. They'd never let you inside." replied Lysil.
"Plus, we're sorta banished." Angwin added.
"What? Why?" Sprig asked.
"One time we were on night watch and well... we started arguing." Lysil explains.
"Because we were distracted, a swarm of troglobites snuck past us and nearly destroyed Proteus." Angwin finished that sentence.
"Not our finest moment"
"Wait, they threw you out after one mistake? That's totally not fair! Everyone deserves a second chance." Sasha felt that this isn't right, but Anne laid her hand on her shoulder.
"(ahem) Well, the fate of Amphibia may rest on us finding the Moter of Olms. If you take us to Proteus, you'd have a hand in saving the world." said Anne.
"Then the Olms would have you take you back, right?"
Lysil and Angwin look at each other for a moment until they smile a little.
"No, probably not." said Lysil.
"But we don't have anything better to do. So..." Angwin added.
"That's the spirit! Ish…" Sasha smiles, but at least they tried.
Lysil and Angwin lead the way for Anne and her friends as they walk through the tunnels. She uses her cell phone with a flashlight on and then finds a wall with weird writing.
"Whoa. What are these?" Anne asked.
"It's how we communicate." Lysil answered.
"Cool!" Sprig touches the wall before making his cute face. "What does it say?"
"Steve's a… jerk?" Lysil shrugged.
"Come on. We're almost there." said Angwin.
"Hmm, that's weird." Jiminy
As they keep walking, Eddie takes a picture and looks at his phone, smiling.
"Marcy's gonna love this." said Eddie as he catches up with the others.
Marcy looks up and sees the weird writing on the wall curious and then she went to catches up with the others before magically turn back into a green butterfly by flew faster. After they exit to the dark passageway, they come to some sort of vantage point.
"Welcome to Proteus." said Angwin when presenting to them.
"Wow!" Mickey went awestruck.
"So cool!" Anne smiles.
"Amazing!" Hop Pop added.
What they're staring is the city of Proteus, home to the underground cavern with all olms that inhabit it in their grinds. As they walked closer to the main entrance, but suddenly halt intercepted by a pair of Olm Soldiers.
"Halt!" said The blue olm guard, but then sniffs until he realized it. "Lysil, Angwin, what are you two doing here? You're exiled."
"You brought strangers?" The purple olm guard sniffs at them. "Ooh, Parisia is not going to like this."
"Who?" Eddie puzzled.
"Parisia?" Anne repeated.
"She presides over Proteus." Lysil explains.
"Is she a warm, sweet-natured Olm who will help us any way she can?" Hop Pop asked.
"You're about to find out. Now move." said The blue olm guard.
And so, the guards are escorting our heroes with Lysil and Angwin as they take them to see Parisia.
"Whoa." Sprig laid his hand on the fountain, but suddenly they felt a rumble. "Huh?"
"Sprig, what did you do?" Hop Pop asked, thinking that it was him. They all felt the same.
"It wasn't him. Mysterious earthquakes have been wreaking havoc on the city for weeks. Water is being diverted, tunnels have become blocked, sunlight has even seeped in." The purple olm guard explains as they resume walking.
"Sunlight? No!" Lysil cried as she looked fear.
"How bad is the sunlight?" Eddie asked.
With his questions being answered, the guards avoided the sunlight and so were the olm twins while the rest keep walk straight and then the sunlight hits Angwin's skin as he winced in pain.
"Oh, dear." said Minnie when felt bad at the Olms.
"Have you gone out to investigate the cause? Or asked the surface dwellers for help?" Anne asked.
"We can't go above ground. We'll burn alive. Plus, we don't associate with your kind if we can help it." replied The purple olm guard by the time they have arrived and find themselves in the presence of the one called Parisia, the Guardian of Proteus
"Indeed, insularity is how we Olms survive. Fewer friends, sure. But also, fewer foes. I am Parisia, what do you want, outsiders?" Parasia asked.
"We've come to see Mother Olm." Anne answers.
"Mother Olm? How do you know-" Parasia pauses when she sniffs until it hit her. "You two?! I should've known you were involved! Bringing outsiders here, you will be punished severely."
"You should be thanking them. King Andrias is gonna destroy Amphibia if we don't join together and stop him." said Sasha.
"Yeah! What she said." Donald added.
"That's none of our concern. We will thrive down here as we always have by keeping our snouts out of other species business." replied Parisia.
Then the ground begins to shake again, causing the Olms to panic.
"It's probably that giant drill we saw. Andrias must be mining for something." said Anne.
"Got to be iron ore. Proteus is built on a huge deposit of it." Lysil guessed when realized what this mad king really wants.
"He must want it to build more war machines." said Sasha.
"A giant drill? War machines?" Parisia lets out a harsh laughs. "Preposterous. These natural tremors are nothing more than common earthquakes."
The Olms murmured as they agreed much to the team's distraught.
"Are you serious?! If we don't act now, you and your people will be turned into his personal slaves!" Eddie glares at her.
"But what about the sunlight? How do you explain that?" Sprig asked.
"Silence! Guards, dispose of these outsiders." Parisia commands the guards as they approached to our heroes.
"What about us? Give us a second chance!" Lysil begged her.
"No second chances. This is the Olm way." Parisia slithers away as the guards escorted Team Calamity and the Olm twins back to the man entrance and then locks them out by closing the gate.
"And stay out!" The blue guard huffs and slithers away, leaving everyone distraught.
"Now what are we do?" Goofy asked when concerns.
"I don't know, Goofy. There's nothing they can do to help us." replied Minnie, making the Olm twins sighed.
"Hey. I know what it's like to make a huge mistake you regret. I'm still fighting to make up for it. And I hope you won't give up either." said Sasha, cheering them up.
"(sighs) We'll try." Lysil sighed.
"Easier said than done." Angwin added.
Then suddenly, the cavern began to shake again and this time, it was more fierce and more dangerous when most rocks fell with both Donald and Goofy dodges from the falling rocks. Jiminy hops off of Mickey when he lands on Pluto's head.
"Now what's up?!" Jiminy exclaims.
"The drill! It must be getting close to the city." Anne dodged from the falling rock and grabbing Sprig from getting crushed.
"We have to do something!" Sasha karate chops the rock by her feet.
"Come on. I know a shortcut to the surface." said Lysil just as the rock fell on top of Angwin.
Then the Olm twins let them ride on as they quickly slithers way up to the shortcut until they arrived at the entrance where they have entered.
"Wow. That was fast." Daisy looked surprised.
"Phew. You didn't say the shortcut was full of stank beetles." said Hop Pop.
"Don't worry. You'll stop smelling in five days." Angwin assured the elder frog before he thought of something. "Or was it five years?"
Just as they peeked through the hole, the only problem was the giant drill robot that keeps drilling just to get the iron ore while the Frobots are guarding so that nothing gets through, but until now.
"All right, team. Attack plan: Epsilon." said Sasha.
"What about us? We want to help too." Angwin wants to help them out to prove the Olm guardian wrong.
"The sunlight's too strong. Just wait here. We got this." Sasha assured to them.
"All right, Plantars. Let's go." said Hop Pop as they ran for the exit while Lysil and Angwin stays behind.
Sprig jumps out from an ambush when he lands on one of the Frobots until Anne came in by twisting the head while Sasha stabs the second Frobot through its chest and push it down to the ground. Then more Frobots shows when Mickey and his friends summons their own weapons while Eddie drew his sword out.
"Go! We got this!" Mickey ushered to Anne and Sasha.
"Right!" Anne nodded as she and her friends rush towards the control systems.
The fight starts when Frobots are firing, but Mickey dodge as he hits one to another by jamming the system. Minnie uses her magical staff to launch the Frobot backwards while Daisy twirls her spears before stabbing another one.
Donald unleashes the smaller thunderbolt from his magic wand to electrified the Frobots while Goofy uses his shield to deflect the laser until he throws it like a frisbee when it hits on its stomach and fell. Eddie slashes its arm off then stab it by his katana. Luckily for this sword was pure enough to slice it off.
"I think that's everything." said Eddie that there isn't any more Frobots.
Once Anne, Sasha, and the Plantars arrived, the computer monitor is counting down when it's almost drilling to the city.
"Reaching Proteus in ten… nine... ...eight… seven... six…"
"This thing's on autopilot. Everyone try to find a way to shut it down!" Sasha ushered them as she and the others were trying to shut the drillers down, but none of them tried to figure it out until the screen flashes red.
"Oh, crud! It needs a password! Any guesses?" Anne was getting anxious.
"Try 12345!" Sprig suggested that when she types the password, but only when the alarm blurs. "Eh, worth a shot."
"Five… four… three… two..."
"Ugh! We're out of time!" Sasha exclaims.
"Any luck?" Eddie calls out to them.
"It's no use! It's going to drill any minute!" Anne responded.
"We're done for!" Mickey yells.
Lysil and Angwin can't just sit there and watch the giant robot to drill through underground to their home. The entire city is depending on them.
"It sounds like they're in trouble. We can't just sit here." Angwin suggested that they should help them.
"Finally something we agree on. Come on!" replied Lysil as they comes out from the tunnel, but the sunlight were too pain as their skins were feeling too hot, but they are not giving up.
"For Proteus!" They said together with unison.
The conjoined olms slithered towards to the giant driller robot with smokes coming out from their skin and passes Team Calamity when they all looked shocked that how brave they were.
"Lysil?! Angwin?! What are you doing?!" Sasha exclaims.
"Get out of here!" Eddie yells.
"What we have to." Lysil hissed when feeling pain. "Angwin, you ready?"
"Ready!" Angwin respond as they jumps to the giant driller, then they were spinning themselves around until they stop and trying to slow down the drill.
"Hold fast, Lysil!" Angwin grunted.
"You too, Angwin!" Lysil grunted too.
As kept a tight grip on the giant drill, causing it to short circuit and the ground to starts cracking."
"It's coming down. Run!" Sasha cried.
Anne and her friends got off from the control system with Eddie and the Sensational Six flee from the area, but then the ground breaks as they all fell down to the city of Proteus, screaming while Goofy hollers until they crashed with a huge thud.
The Olms heard the noise as they came to investigate the noise right outside of the main gates. The team were all feeling groan and felt hurt pretty bad, but at least they weren't so injured that much. Donald got up before he crack his back with bones popping.
"Ah, that's better." Donald exhaled.
"Oh, my aching back." Goofy groaned.
"Everyone okay? Lysil? Angwin?" Sasha is checking to see everyone's okay, but then realize that the conjoined twin weren't responding. "Oh, no."
As they all got up from the rubble, they pass through the Olms until they stop and sees Lysil and Angwin lying on the ground, with bruises all over them and in pain from the sun. Sasha, Doanld, and Minnie rushes to them when felt pity at them.
"Oh, dear! You're hurt." Minnie looks worried.
"Here, let me fix you." said Donald when uses his healing spell to the Olm twins.
"Thanks, outsiders." said Angwin.
"Guys, are you okay?" Sasha asked them when feeling sympathy towards them. "I can't believe you dove into the drill like that."
"It was the only way to save the city." Angwin groaned.
"Proteus will always be our home. Even if we don't live in it." said Lysil.
Just then, when Parisia approach, she sniffs the air to smell the scent. With the giant driller robot was destroyed, they have to wait and see that they could prove her wrong.
"Well, do you believe us now?" Eddie asked out loud.
"Gonna be real hard to deny the existence of that drill now." Anne mutters with Hop Pop.
"This doesn't prove anything."
"What?!" They all exclaimed.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Donald yells.
"How do I know you didn't fake this?" Parisia disbelief this.
"Look at Lysil and Angwin! They nearly killed themselves to protect you and your dumb city!" Sasha argues.
"If it weren't for them, the whole city will be destroyed!" said Daisy, sternly.
"Did they? Maybe they injured themselves on purpose to make it look like they protected us." Parisia refused to believe this as the Olms muttered as they talked themselves into believing in her. "You two, get these outsiders out of our city!"
They couldn't believe that how low does Parisia stoop too low towards them after everything they've done for her and her people. That was the last straw when Sasha clenched her fist in anger. Donald was getting angry too when his head was turning red like boiling kettle. Donald was about to yelled out, but Sasha climbs onto what's left of the driller robot.
"ARGH! You are the biggest moron I have ever met!" Sasha shouted.
Anne and her friends were shocked at Sasha's outburst and so does Parisia and the Olms.
"Excuse me?!"
"You heard Sasha! YOU ARE THE BIGGEST LOOSER!" Donald yells out making them more gasp.
"Donald!" Daisy exclaims.
"Whoa. Sash, I don't think that's a good..."
"I don't care anymore, Anne! Lysil and Angwin bent over backwards to prove they deserved a second chance! But this snooty despot and her crummy town aren't worth it!" Sasha lashed out at Parisia who doesn't even cared, but herself. "Come on, guys. If these idiots wanna perish in denial, that's their business. Let's get out of here."
"Well, thanks for nothing. Good luck chewing in the factory." Eddie gives her a cold glared before he and Sasha walks off with the others while Lynsil and Angwin follows them, leaving the Olms shocked.
"Hmm…" Parisia starts to reconsidered as the Guardian of Proteus is watching them leaving.
As they left the city, the poor Olm twins were now in depressed until Sasha went to comfort them.
"Don't worry, you two. If this city won't have you, Wartwood will." said Sasha.
"They will?" Sprig puzzled.
"Yeah! We got some food and water, and a very nice warm bed." Goofy smiled at them.
"You are welcome to join us whenever you like." Mickey added.
"Not so fast!"
They heard Parisia as they turn and shocked that the Guardian of Proteus slithered on the rock and then she looks down at them.
"You dare insult Parisia, the guardian of Proteus, who has ruled over the city for thousands of years?!" Parisia sneers down at our heroes, looking shocked until she looked impressed. "Impressive. You've all got guts. Especially the fur-clad one."
"Huh?!" They've all baffled.
"Say what now?" Daisy puzzled.
"I haven't been yelled at like thatfor about 500 years, and it kinda shook me up. I don't know what's going on topside, but maybe it's better to be safe than sorry. You shall meet Mother Olm." said Parisia as they all looked surprised.
"Really! We're gonna meet her?" Donald looks happy despite all of that.
"Hang on. What about Lysil and Angwin?" Sasha asked.
"Ugh. Fine, they shall be granted access to the city." Parisia groans due to her annoyance.
"Yay!" Lysil cheers.
"Yes! You won't be sorry!" Angwin smiles.
"Under constant supervision." said Parisia.
"Boo." Lysil complains.
"Oh, that's lame. Oof!" Angwin felt his stomach was elbowed by Sasha when giving him a stern look. "Oh, okay."
"Thank you." They all said together at once when bowing down to her.
"Thank you so much." said Sprig.
"We appreciate it." Anne added.
Yes, yes. Don't make me regret it. Now then, follow me. Mother awaits." Parisia gets off of the rock as she lead our heroes to the entrance to Mother Olm.
"Thank you so much." said Angwin, thanking to them.
"How can we ever repay you." Lysil added.
"It's the least we can do to help you." Minnie giggles.
"Mother Olm, here we come." said Anne.
As they all followed, Parisia and her guards are escorting to the main entrance to the chamber. Anne and Sasha fist bumps at each other with the green butterfly landed on Eddie's shoulder until the main chamber doors closes behind them, but didn't noticed that there were the mural of three human figures as the chosen ones.
