Chapter 58: Fight or Flight
It's been an hour since the crisis going at the Resistance Headquarters, right near the Plantars' Residence where it shows food bins and food scattered around from the outside. On top of a big hill, Anne, Sprig, Soggy Joe, and Loggle are hiding behind a rock fence.
They were sent on their task to keep an eye on this intruder, even it could be a person or a creature. Timon and Pumbaa were also sent on their task with the others since they are the bug expertise in case there any giant insects.
"Okay, guys. We need to catch whatever's been breaking into our food bins at night." said Anne.
"Yeah. If this keeps up, we'll be out of food soon." replied Sprig before he points finger on Loggle. "Dibs on eating Loggle!"
"(chuckles) You'll have to catch me first!" Loggle chuckled as he runs off, leaving only five of them.
"Eugh, cannibal." Timon felt cringed.
"You know, it is not polite to point people." Pumbaa reminded Sprig.
"Sorry. Can you at least get a joke?" Sprig rolled his eyes.
"Guys, focus!" Anne breaks up the argument. "Joe, any luck?"
"It's gotta be a critter. With all the destruction of natural resources, the wildlife has been forced to find food from outside the forests." said Soggy Joe.
"Say that last bit five times fast." Sprig commented, but his and Joe's mouth were covered by Anne when she heard something.
"Shh. Do you guys hear that?" Anne hushed them.
"Hear what?" Timon puzzled.
Pumbaa's ears is picking up as he can hear that sound with a gust of wind has blew through the five of them. Then the lid from the food bins has been sliced open as a creature eats one of it from the inside. They couldn't tell if it's too dark.
"Look! There it is!" Soggy Joe points where it's taken.
"What is it?" Sprig puzzled.
"Could this be a creature?" Pumbaa asked.
"Does it matter? Whatever it is, we're taking it down!" Anne jumps over the rock fence along with the others.
"Right!" Soggy Joe agrees, but when the red eyes glows and sees them approaching to attack, then it flies away from the area.
"Quick! After it!" Anne ushered as they went to follow that creature.
"Don't let it get away!" said Timon while riding on Pumbaa.
All five of them were running through the forest as the winged creature flew away with its food. It didn't take that long once the winged creature arrives when it lands by its lair. Anne and her friends has arrived in the woods and hid themselves behind the rock.
"This must be its lair." Anne whispered.
"I have a bad feeling about this." said Pumbaa.
They were staring at the winged creature dropping its food from its mouth for no reason. Why would this creature drop its meal rather having food.
"Okay. On my cue. One…" Anne began to count to three before using bringing out her sword while the rest brought their own weapons. "Two…"
But then, the creature turns around and faced them when it turns out to be a cat-moth hybrid. Its wings was similar to a Monarch butterfly and the head and legs of a white cat. Anne, Sprig, and Soggy Joe gasps as they recognized this creature.
"Well, bless my bowie knife. It's a coastal kill-a-moth!" Soggy Joe shocked.
"Killer moth?!" Timon puzzled, but shocked.
"(gasps) DOMINO 2!" Anne cried.
"Wait, Domino 2?!" Pumbaa looked confused.
To Anne, the only reason she call this winged creature Domino 2 is because she used to have a pet back in the past. It brings back her memory where Anne brings her mouse toy to Domino 2 as caterpillar, and then later she throws it off after it transforming into adult.
Right now, Domino 2 walks away and has no interest to attack. Anne couldn't believe that she hasn't seen her for over these months after she released her to the wild. All this time, Domino 2 is out there to adapt her own territory. For Timon and Pumbaa, they have never seen this creature.
"You've got to be kidding me? We've been chasing a cat like butterfly?!" Timon exclaims it.
"Actually, it's more look like than a cat-moth hybrid." Pumbaa corrected him.
"I haven't seen her since she flew off months ago. What should I do? Should I approach her? Should I say hello? Is that too forward?" Anne can't even tell what she would say to her former pet, but Sprig and Soggy Joe are not very pleased.
"SAY HELLO?! Anne, that monster tried to eat us! Heck, I would be surprised if she remembers my flavor." Sprig goes dramatic.
"Don't hold a grudge, Sprig." Anne brushed him off.
"Wait, eat us?!" Timon is even more confused.
"No, she only eats frogs and toads." Sprig shrugged.
Then suddenly, out of nowhere when two Frobots flew in and landed as they approached to Domino 2. However, she roars at the Frobots before she waves her wings at one of them to defend her territory, but she was netted by another Frobot and then they carried her away.
"Domino 2! NO!" Anne cried when she rushed to chase them, but feeling hopeless and speechless after Domino 2 got taken away by the Frobots where they carried her to a big cage. "No."
The cat-moth hybrid roars down, but desperate to break free. Timon and Pumbaa was shocked that not only that they haven't seen this creature, but those Frobots just showed up and took her away. To Sprig and Soggy Joe as they approached to her, they looked so pleased rather than worry.
"Whoo!" Soggy Joe cheers.
"Whoo! Would you look at that? Problem solved." Sprig smiles.
"Up top!" Soggy Joe gives a high five to Sprig.
"Yeah! Well, let's get a move on."
As the two of them are about to leave, but Timon and Pumbaa turns their head and gives them a glare, realizing that this is not how the resistance do.
"Really?" Timon exclaimed. "Do you really have to say something rather than…I don't know... FEELING DEVASATED?!"
"Yeah, so what?"
"He's right. I have to save her." Anne agrees with the meerkat.
"WHAT?!" Sprig and Soggy Joe exclaims.
"Domino 2 and I still have a connection. I could feel it."
"Oh, so that's why she had a strong connection with her." Pumbaa realized that Anne had a strong connection with her.
"It all make sense when she showed us her cat back home." Timon nodded, but Sprig is not having it.
"Anne, she's a vicious animal, not your buddy. She's been living in the wild for months now, and-"
"Shh! Do you hear that?" Anne hushed her when they heard something that goes meowing. It could be a cave from the inside. Once she walks closer where the nest is, but until… "What the heck are- (gasps) Domino 2 has kittens?!"
What Anne is seeing adored with an adorable face when it turns out to be six kittens like caterpillar with six legs and two bulbous eyes. Domino 2's offspring possesses a different and unique coloration and trait from the other.
There is a yellow with spots, furry cheeks and a cowlick on its head, short pointy ears, and white eyes. Then there's another one that has a shaggy light gray coat with gray spots on its sides, furry ears and cheeks, and yellow eyes with large pupils.
The purple one with yellow eyes, and has large bat-like ears similar to the sphynx breed of cat. A light blue kitten that looked resembles to Wally, as well has having grey spots, short furry ears, and yellow eyes, with the left almost always seen closed.
The orange one with a beige triangular marking and two dots on its back, and yellow eyes. The sixth one is gray with black stripes, has pointy gray ears, and heterochromia with a yellow left eye and blue right eye. All kittens were playing around each other.
"Oho! Hey, little cuties." Anne cooed and offers the kittens as they crawled onto her arms, but one of them falls onto the nest and then sneezes.
"Aww! Look at them? They are so cute!" Pumbaa cooed after seeing the kittens so easily.
"Are you kidding? They're so…ADORABLE!" Timon gazed upon the kittens with his big, adorable eyes.
"Well, that settles it. We're taking these little babies back to Wartwood." Anne suggested.
"What?!" Soggy Joe cried.
"Absolutely not!" Sprig disagreed.
"Well, we can't just leave these defenseless little kittens in the wilderness on their own, it's just until we save their mother." said Anne when she picked up the orange one.
"I think we should we agree with her. Back from our world, Timon and I have rescued our old friend who was just a little guy and we raised him with our own." Pumbaa agreed and explain their backstory to them.
"Yeah, and I'll have you know that we good guys would never abandoned these poor little defenseless creatures." Timon agrees.
"No way! No how! Not in a million years." Sprig refused along with Soggy Joe as they shook their head with disapproval.
"Alright, fine. But you leave me no choice." said Anne when brings the kittens closer to Sprig and Soggy Joe by the time their eyes grew wide with huge pupil.
"No. Not this time. Must resist." Sprig resist to look away, but Soggy Joe easily gives in.
"I don't think I've never seen eyes this big before." said Soggy Joe, showing a head of a kitten on his eyes.
"Come on, kid. It's now or never." Pumbaa encouraged him.
"Never." Sprig grunted, but he hears meowing as he open his eyes when Anne is letting out her hurtful sob along with he kittens showing their sad face.
He tried to resist even harder, but he started to hesitate to look away. The more he disapproved to the kittens, the more depression if Anne's heart was broken. He took a quick glance at Timon and Pumbaa with their big puppy face look. It's four against one until Sprig finally gives in.
"Gah! Fine! But I have a feeling the rest of camp isn't gonna like this." Sprig warns her about what's gonna happen next, but Anne playfully blows a raspberry.
"Don't be so dramatic. They're gonna love it."
"You did WHAT?!"
Things don't go so well with the resistance, well just for Wartwood residents. Anne and her friends got back with the kittens and explains everything to them, however it didn't turned out so well. The only members are available is Grime, Ivy, Felicia, Wally, and Mrs. Croaker since the rest of the frogs were a little busy.
Sasha, Eddie, and Bailey stood next to Hop Pop, Tint, Kettle, and Alex as the three humans looked a bit puzzled and confused. Mickey, and his friends were also there after they heard the commotions and they have never seen these kittens that are new to them.
"Uh, what's going on?" Eddie looks confused.
"What even are those things?" Sasha asked.
"They're Coastal Kill-A-Pillars, they're amphibivores." Tint answered.
"They're monsters. They're cute as can be, and once they've transformed into adults, they'll eat us all for breakfast!" Hop Pop explains to them.
"The only meals they like to eat are frogs and toads. Especially the newts." Kettle lowered her eyes, skeptically.
"Knock it off, sis." Alex rolled his eyes.
"I lost my uncle Magnus to one of those things. Found his bones in a giant pellet." said Grime as long as he remembered about those creatures until Polly jumps onto his head.
"Read the room, Anne. This is a hard no." said Polly.
"Guys, I get your concern, but their mother is Domino 2. She was my baby precious, and she's been captured by Andrias's robots. All you gotta go is watch these kittens for a couple of hours." Anne tried to reasons with them, but Sasha and the others crosses their arms and stood firm.
For Anne's team, they just couldn't understand why they don't like these Kill-a-Pillars that much. As much as they want to defend their friends, but these kittens poses no threat to them. Sprig can't let everyone down for Anne's sake when he stood up with her.
"(sighs) Come on, guys. Anne has done so much for all of you. Can't you just do this one thing for her?" Sprig convinced them.
"He's right, but if we don't act now, then we are no better like those people from Earth." Eddie agrees when giving them a bit of stern towards them.
Anne knew what Eddie's been talking about back from their world. The members of the resistance look hesitated to turn their heads at the kittens. When Sprig walks closer to her, holding the black kitten and brings it closer to her until the elder frog eventually gives in.
"Ugh, fine! We'll do it." Mrs. Croaker take the kitten from Sprig. "But you better hurry back, young lady!"
"Yeah, we don't wanna take care of these little savages any longer than we have to." said Hop Pop when taking another one from Anne.
"I'm more of a dog person, so..." Sasha takes the kitten from Soggy Joe, but it jumps to her face and gave her a scratch with dust clouds while she screams until her face was all covered with scratch mark. "Make it quick!"
"Thanks, everyone! I just have to bust her out of a mountain-top fortress, so I shouldn't be gone long." Anne thanked them before walks over to pick up the sword, wait…rusty sword again? Seriously?
"Uh, hey Anne? Where's the sword?" Goofy asked.
"This sword?" Anne puzzled.
"The one you showed to us and then you left behind." Donald crosses his arms.
"Ohhh….that sword. I don't know where I left it." She realized that she keeps forgetting it.
"(ahem) May I." Timon offered when she handed over to him to examined, but then he just tosses way over to the pond until it hits the water with a splash. Then Anne and the others just looked at him just like that. "What?"
"You do realize that I need a spare one in case I ever lost it." said Anne, just then Stitch just pops up thus holding the sword he borrowed.
"Done!" Stitch approached and hands over to her.
"Oh, uh…thanks?" Anne thanked him, but looked awkwardly at him before she whispers. "I don't know why he borrowed."
"Well, he had to borrow it like a toothpick." Pumbaa shrugged.
"Ugh! Fine, I'll just go find that stupid sword that you don't own it with your name on it." Timon looked annoyed as he walks off.
"Oh! Can you pick up some grubs on your way back?" Pumbaa asked.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll get some if that makes me happy." Timon brushed off as went off where he tosses it. That's when Mickey bends down to Pluto.
"Make sure he doesn't get lost." Mickey whispered to him as his pet dog respond by salute him with his right ear and he went to follow the meerkat.
While everyone was debating about watching over the kittens, Anne puts her sword away in her golden sheath until Sprig approached to her, still feeling have grudged against the kill-a-pillars.
"I still think this is a terrible idea. What if we save her, and she tears you to shreds?" Sprig asked, looking concerns
"Domino 2 would never hurt me. I just know. I feel it in my heart." replied Anne.
"Anne, whatever you're up to, I know your heart will follow the most important creature that you've ever raised her." said Mickey as he approached to her.
"Ohana." Stitch added.
"That's right. Ohana." Anne gave her a small smile to him until they heard Sprig letting out a sighed.
"(sighs) All right. Well, count me in." said Sprig as he hops onto her shoulder.
"Thanks, dude. Appreciate the help."
"I mean, someone's gotta watch your back when this goes horribly wrong."
"We really need to work on your pep talks."
"Oh! Oh! Stitch can help! Wait for me!" Stitch rushed towards the two of them to catch up.
"Really? You gonna help me?" Anne asked.
"Ih!" Stitch nodded.
"Perfect! You're hired!"
"Yes!"
Mickey and his friends are watching the three of them trekking off to rescue the Kill-a-pillar. All that leaves with the rest of the resistance after they set the kittens down and put up a vote whether they decided to watch over them.
"Wally, you take first watch. Be careful." said Mrs. Croaker as she and the rest walks off to their headquarters.
"Aye, aye, ma'am. I'll guard the prisoners with me life." replied Wally as he salute.
Eddie and Bailey rolled their eyes before they walk off with Alex and Kettle just as she give the kittens 'I'm watching you' sign language. All that's left is with Wally and the kittens when he picks up a wooden stick, pointing at the blue one.
"If you little blighters know what's good for you, you won't try anything!" Wally warns them, however the blue kitten crawls onto the stick and it went closer to him. "Oh, no! No! Stay back. Stay back! Stay back!"
Meanwhile, Anne, Sprig, and Stitch has arrived as they climb all the way to the mountain where the Frobots have taken Domino 2. Then they spotted a huge cage where there are more of Kill-a-Pillars, flying around to keep the factory going.
"Take a look. Another one of King Andrias's robot bases." said Anne when passing the telescope to Sprig.
"They're using the moths to generator power." Sprig sees through the telescope.
"And look! Mind-control collars."
Now they know why the Frobots have captured Domino 2 along with her kind and uses them as hamsters running on wheels while wearing mind-control collars. Stitch growls that he doesn't like it. Just then the buzz goes off, meaning it's time for kill-a-pillars to get some rest.
"Okay, here's the plan. We'll wait for the moths to fall sleep, and then we sneak in and free my baby precious."
"Anne, there are dozens of moths. How are you gonna find-"
"She's right there." Anne points where she's at is it turns out that Domino 2 was right there while licking and also has mind-control collar around her neck.
"Oh. Huh. Nice."
"Now come on. Let's motor." said Anne.
"Smish." replied Stitch as they went off and come up with the plan.
Back at the Plantars' household, it turns out that Wally was lying on the ground with kittens all over him. He seems to be enjoyed snuggling with them despite that he is too easy to give in.
"I'll call you Cali-coco, and Nutgrass, and Josey-Pie, and of course, little Wally Junior!" said Wally, giving a small hat to the blue kitten, but then his happiness was interrupted.
"Wally?" Both Wally and the kitten react fast when Croaker, Grime, Felicia, and Ivy gives him a stern look. "What's going on in here?"
"(chuckles) Nothing! I'm just, uh, passing time with my accordion!" Wally stands up after the kittens fell off from him and using Wally Jr. to play as an accordion.
"Wally, that...is the cutest thing I've ever seen!" said Felicia, smiling at him and then took step closer to pick the brown one up. "Aw, lemme hold one!"
"Hey, they're friendly." Ivy chuckled.
"(chuckles) And this one is a..." Grime's words were interrupted when the purple one hissing at him."...cute little warrior!"
"Get off me, you disgusting, little...dear." Mrs. Croaker looks a bit edgy when the black kitten climbs up until she goes soft. "Oh, ho, ho."
Then suddenly, Hop Pop kicks the door open, looking fear.
"You fools! Quick, shield your eyes! Don't look at 'em! That's how they get ya!" Hop Pop yelled, but then the yellow kitten lowers down with its web out of nowhere until it open its eyes towards at him as the eldest frog responds with huge pupil eyes.
We jumped his fantasy mind where Hop Pop is skipping on the grass with the yellow kitten, then he shares two ice cream with the kitten together, then he pushes the kitten on swing, and then he gave this kitten a very warm hug until we exit from his thoughts.
"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged cupid painted blind."
Back at the mountain, Anne, Sprig, and Stitch rushed towards to the metal cage and walks through it despite of that size. All they have to do is sneak in very quietly without disturbing the Kill-a-Pillars and carefully not to make a sound.
Stitch and Sprig follows behind, but then the pink frog was grabbed by one of the Kill-a-Pillar when hugging him like a stuffed until he carefully got off from it without making a noise. That is until they have approached to her, sleeping.
"Shh. Wait there." Anne hushed him and went closer to Domino 2 to figured how to get this collar off while she was sleeping. "Come on, stupid thing."
Then it happened when Domino 2 opens her left eye at Anne when she freeze.
"Uh-oh."
The Kill-a-Pillar roars when Anne fell backwards, causing the other Kill-a-Pillars to wake up from all of sudden. When she take step closer to Anne, but Sprig confronts her by defending his best friend.
"Stop right-"
She shoved him away by swinging her front paw. Stitch jumps in front of Domino 2 before he roars at her first, but then she uses her mighty roars back at with him, causing him to back down and then shoved him aside.
"Anne, look out! Run!" Sprig cried
"No, I can't leave her!" Anne yells back by dodging Domino 2's attack when trying to bite her, then climbs on her back using her sword to cut off the collar until she shook off the girl, thus the collar fells off.
"Yes!" Stich cheers when Domino 2 was free while her eyes changing color from purple to red.
"Anne, get away!" Sprig yells, but she refuse to give up.
"No. She'll remember me. I know it. Come on, girl." Anne responded to Domino 2, trying to make her remember, but then she roars towards at her. "Or maybe I'm wrong! AAAHHHHH!"
By then, nothing happened! Domino 2 just licked Anne's face instead of attacking her. The Thai girl looked surprised when she sees Domino 2 start playing with her and take a little nibbled at her head very gently, making her laugh, and then felt a little sharp.
"Ow!"
"I don't believe this. She does remember you!" Sprig takes everything back from the beginning. "Huh. Big win for blind faith."
"Good kitty." Stitch smiles after witness the whole thing.
Domino 2 let go of the girl's head and went to get something out from her fur until she gave something that is important to Anne when she sees something that makes her happy even more. A mouse toy for a pet cat.
"Domino 2, you didn't forget me." Anne smiles with her soft tears, finally to have Domino 2 to remember her and then start rubbing her belly. "Who's a good girl? Who's a good girl?"
"(sniffles) Wow. This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my-" Sprig paused when he felt something that's behind him and Stitch for which it's just an orange Kill-a-Pillar. "I'm about to get eaten, aren't I?"
"Ih."
Then it gobbled up the pink frog and flew off along with the other Kill-a-Pillars. Anne and Stitch were in both shocked.
"Sprig! Hang on, buddy!" Anne cried when she draws her sword to cut the rope from Domino 2 and climbs onto her back while Stitch jumps on. "Okay, how do we do this? Domino 2, up, up and awa-AHHH!"
She nearly fall off from Domino 2's back, but hold onto the end of her back. Stitch is the only one who doesn't fell off because of that and hangs on dearly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, no!" She launched up high to grab the bar, but didn't make on time. "Ah, nuts."
Luckily, she was caught by Domino 2, but still struggling to ride a Kill-a-Pillar as they nearly flew straight down to the ground until Anne climbs on, then pulls the fur very hard to adjust a Kill-a-Pillar and then she flew just the way it is as Anne finally learn to ride with Domino 2.
"Whoa! Whoo!" Anne cheers.
"Yee-haa!" Stitch hollers when he cackles.
By then, Domino 2 just slam an orange Kill-a-Pillar to its stomach and then spits out Sprig right out from its mouth as he screams until Anne caught him just in time.
"Gotcha! Now let's get outta here!"
When Domino 2 flew off, Anne reaches her hand to switch the lever to open the cage, but the Kill-a-Pillar stops while flying. Anne, Sprig, and Stitch noticed something about her.
"What's wrong, girl?" Anne asked, but what Domino 2 was looking, feeling sad that they're leaving her own kind behind. This made Anne having her second thought. "You're right. We can't just leave them here."
"I mean, we could."
"Sprig."
"Okay, okay."
"Goobaja" said Stitch as Domino 2 turn herself around and flew back into the cage.
Sprig spits his tongue to push the button by loosing the mind-control collar while Anne cuts many rope by her sword until there's the last one when Sprig's tongue accidentally hit two of its eye and its forehead until it hit the button. They're all free when eyes changed to normal.
"Looks like we did it." Anne smiles, but their celebration was cut off when the orange one just snagged Sprig out from them. "SPRIG!"
The orange Kill-a-Pillar was about to eat him again, but the white one just snagged him just in time before it eat them. Then it all started when cat fight begins like any wild cats or house cats are fighting off with their own meal, making Sprig traumatized.
"THERE IS DEFINITELY NOT ENOUGH ME TO GO AROUND!" Sprig yells out so loud.
"SPRIG! NO!" Anne cries.
"FROGGY!" Stitch yells.
Domino 2 looks at her companion, staring at the boy to get torn apart. Seeing her makes her worries and she can't stand here and watch this little pink frog to get eaten. That is, until she lets out a roar to have the others stop as they responded.
They freeze and letting go of Sprig's arms and legs while the orange Kill-a-Pillar flew over to Domino 2 and then hands Sprig over to her with its paw. Poor Sprig was all a little bruise and has some scratch mark on him. Domino 2 raises her legs and give him to Anne.
"Th-thanks. Why did they listen to her?" Sprig asked, but Anne now realized what this is all about.
"No way. Sprig, Marcy told me about animals like this. Domino 2 must be the alpha moth!" Anne explains when she talks about Domino 2 that she is now the alpha.
"So that means, if we've tamed Domino..."
"Yep! We've tamed 'em all! Whoo-hoo!" Anne cheers along with Stitch. "Follow me, everyone!"
Anne pilots Domino 2 as the new alpha led the rest of the Kill-a-Pillars out from the cage. Then all of sudden, the Frobots flew in to block their path.
"Halt! Security breach!"
Stitch whips out two of his blasters and start shooting at the Frobots by blowing them up into pieces. Anne and Sprig looked amazed that their alien friend just took them down all at once.
"Whoo! Nice shot, Stitch!" Anne smiles.
"Cowabunga!" Stitch cheers.
"Yeah!"
Back at the Plantars' household, Sasha and her troops seems to enjoy with the kittens. Soggy Joe is cuddling with Cali-coco with its small hat, Ivy is scratching Nutgrass on its belly with Felicia standing by, Wally is playing his accordion with Wally Jr., Sasha is holding Sophie-Pie in her arms, and Mrs. Croaker is playing with Archie and the black kitten.
Eddie and Bailey were watching their amphibian friends playing with the kittens. Alex and Kettle were already convinced by their human friends that the kittens are not a threat to anyone. Mickey and his friends were glad that everyone is happy, even Hop Pop was holding on to the orange in his arms.
"Oh, Lenny Long Bottom, you filled the spider-sized hole in my heart." Hop Pop cooed at the kitten.
"No one's ever gonna take these babies away from us." said Mrs. Croaker, but then Wally noticed something is up from the sky.
"Oh, no! Look!" Wally point where there are more than just one Kill-a-Pillar until they have landed and surrounds the resistance.
"WHOA!" Eddie yelps.
"Kids, get back!" Bailey wrap her arms around Alex and Kettle.
"You stay away from them!" Mrs. Croaker uses her spike mace to stand her ground.
"You want 'em, you gotta get through us!" Felicia warns the Kill-a-Pillars when holding her dagger, but then Domino 2 just landed with Anne, Sprig, and Stitch.
"Hey, everyone! You could put your weapons down. They're with us now!" Anne announces the good news.
"Domino 2 is alpha! You're welcome." said Stitch.
"Huh?" They were all looking puzzled.
"With us?" Sasha rephrased that, but then came from smiling when she had an idea for them. "Well, guys, looks like we just got air calvary!"
Everyone cheers that they can use the Kill-a-Pillars as their own air calvary. However, another one just flew in and gobbled Sprig as they can hear him screaming.
"Okay, but can we train them not to do that?!" Sprig yells.
Meanwhile in the further woods, Pluto had already found this rusty sword and caries it in his mouth while Timon digs through some grubs he can find, but seems a bit stressed out while he's eating one bug at a time.
"Why does she have to switch the sword. It's not like she even bothered to use one from the day she used it." Timon mumbled before he eats the beetle in its mouth with his mouthful. "It's not our fault that nothing is perfect."
Then Pluto stop when his left ear is picking up the hearing as the dog heard something not from afar near the forest. So he just wanders off, leaving Timon when the meerkat stops and looks at him when confused.
"Uh, home is that way." said Timon, thumbing his direction.
But he didn't hear him when he picks up the scent until the sound is getting closer and sees what's behind the rock. Once Pluto took a peek, but then looked shocked that there were group of Toad Soldiers, gathered around at the fireplace.
The Toads looked really bored and grew impatience. Bog was polishing his Warhammer, Fens throws the dagger at the wanted poster with an art of Grime on it, and Mire breathe through the helmet. Pluto couldn't believe what he just saw. That is until Timon shows up.
"Hey, what's the hold up?" Timon asked, but Pluto reached his front paw to stop him from going and gives him a hush. He climbs up on top of him and take a peek where the toads are, but looked a bit confused. "Hey, where did all the Toads come from?"
"What's taking this so long? They never showed up!" Fens complains.
"(scoffs) I knew I shouldn't trust those guys. That witch is wasting our time. Let's just ditch them and do it ourselves." Bog scoffed, but the freeze as they've been startled.
"I am not a witch." Then suddenly, Maleficent shows up when she heard this bickering, with Diablo sitting on the staff. "Nor a monster."
"Oh, then what are you then. Some kind of a tall newt?"
"No, I'm a fairy. The dark fairy where I was fully corrupted with pure darkness."
"(gasps) Maleficent?!" Timon gasped softly as the meerkat shocked while whispers and so does Pluto. Then two more of her associates shows up, making them both shocked. Luckily, they didn't hear him whispering. "Pete?! Jafar?! What's going on here?!"
"Yeah, you heard the mistress. Show some respect." said Pete, crossing his arms.
"Whatever you say, captain. How long until we get our revenge?" asked Bog, when questioning them.
"We only have less than six hours until dawn. Thanks to my pet, keeping an eye on the children while recruiting the newts and then we send the platypus back to his owners without any questions." said Maleficent.
"And you let him go?"
"Exactly, he'll never know that I am the only one who mind wipe his memory so that no one will tell a tale." replied Jafar as it revealed that he send the platypus back to his owner and having him forget about what he just saw.
"You know he can't talk." Mire commented.
"Of course, he wasn't. So no one leaves!"
"Leaving? Who said anything about leaving?" Fens looked puzzled, but then they heard a twig snap by accident.
"What was that?" Bog move his head around. However, three of the villains just spotted the shadows by the rock, thanks to the fire that shines on them.
"A spy!" Jafar exclaims.
"It's that dog with his little friend!" Pete point his finger where the hiding spots are.
"That's it! We attack NOW!" Bog cried as he grabs the hammer along with the toads lets out a battle cry.
With the toad soldiers runs off to a chase, Maleficent can only smirk just as she predicted. As the chase is on, Timon is reading on Pluto as the dog runs through the forest while holding onto the sword.
"How did those bad guys got here?! We've got to warn them!" Timon ushered Pluto as the dog nodded, although he couldn't bark because of the sword he was carrying and runs back towards the base.
Back at the base where the secret entrance are, Domino 2 is leading her new pack to the entrance and then flew into the caves while Team Calamity and the Resistance that are holding the kittens, watching the Kill-a-Pillars. The rest of Anne's team were adored to the kittens.
"Gosh, I never thought this cat-moth hybrid was the alpha. Just like from wolf pack to the pod of orca." said Mickey.
"Aw, those kittens reminded me of Figaro." Minnie cooed while petting the kitten that was carried by Felicia.
"Got to admit, you've really outdone yourself." said Eddie.
"Thanks, guys. It's the least I can do." Anne thanked her friends.
"I believe we owed you apology." said Hop Pop.
"Too bad Polly never saw the whole thing." Sprig commented.
"I can still hear you!" Polly hollered from the distance.
"All right, guys. First thing in the morning, I've send our spy to investigate at the castle until he returns for the report." said Sasha as her comrades nodded, then suddenly Tint just shows up with distress.
"Commander, we have a problem." said Tint.
"What is it, Tint?" Sasha asked.
"It's your dog. He's in trouble."
"Wait, that's my dog. What happened?" Mickey asked.
"You might want to see this from the outside. I have felt it." replied Tint.
Each of our heroes looked at each other eyes with a mix of worries and suspicious until Sasha turns her head at him.
"You folks stay here and guard the entrance." Sasha ushered her amphibian friends after handing the purple kitten to Loggle. "The rest of you, follow me."
"Right." Anne nodded when she and her team rushed upstairs while the rest of the Resistance remain to stay put to guard the entrance.
"You stay here in case they come back." Eddie told Bailey to stay with Kettle and Alex.
"Okay, be careful." replied Bailey when watching him runs upstairs to catchup the others, but didn't see the green butterfly flew towards to the exit.
Once Anne, Sasha, and the rest of her team comes out from the secret entrance where the fireplace is, then it closes behind them until the door opens when Pluto barks before dropping the sword. Mickey looks concerns about his pet dog.
"Pluto, what's wrong? What is it, boy?" Mickey asked when Pluto whines.
"Fellas!" Timon jumps down from Pluto as he panted. They could the look on his face.
"Timon, what happened?" Pumbaa asked.
"(panting) Bad guys. There were toads back there. We saw everything. Then we saw them working for the villains. They're going after you before more help arrives!" replied Timon, looking frantic.
"Hold up. What Toads?" Sasha looked puzzled at first.
"Which Toads? The bandits or the army." Sprig added.
"That doesn't sound like my sister's soldiers." Grime looks skeptical.
"Timon, were you been followed?" Anne knelt down to him.
"Uh, no. I think we lost them." Timon answered, but then they heard a huge thud when they all froze. "Well, almost."
Anne stood up and went to hold her ground by touching her sword on the sheath. She looked at Sasha when nodded, then looked at Eddie as he looked firm and prepared for battle. The Sensational Six went to hold their ground while looking at human kids as they nodded.
Stitch and Angel looked each other, knowing that its time. Anne nodded her head towards the Pines as all four them retreated back down to the base to secure the entrance. It only just some human kids, the Plantars, the Toons, and of course Grime is the only who can stand his ground.
Once both girls took their step close to the door until Anne reaches the knob, slowly and then she quickly opens the door as they all drew all of their own weapons out. But what they are seeing when it's all too foggy with a firefly flew in, but then got swallowed by none other than Bog and his own cronies.
"So happy to see you again, commander."
Looks like the fight has already begun, but not before the invasion. I am so looking forward into this and I swear I shall waking up early in the morning. Hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned for the next chapter!
