It was like taking candy from a baby but in this case the baby happened to be a very hot blond that had a very sparky way of greeting a man, just my type.
Four (one in each finger) cards came flying out of my sleeves, burning brighter then her blue hands that were reaching out for me with more then a hug in mind.
"I've seen bigger."
She was breath of fresh (polluted of course) air, someone that always seemed to stick out in millions of people with her pink princess dress and light up tiara, both burned around the edges.
"Oh have you now?"
In one second or a couple of moments she reminds me of a lost (not really) lover one with too much black on the brain and the urge to hide away from the world (the one thing that Elle will never be) but only for that moment then it's over and she's back prodding me out of my day dream.
From the very first day (that day so very long ago that the memory is covered in cobwebs) we crashed into each other the world seemed a little brighter and even stranger, little miss lighting and her parlor tricks and me the mighty x-men that I seemed to be.
With just one shock she pulled the man I once was (pulled him out by force and never let him free from her trapping hands) con-man with a smirking face and she smashed away the hero in me until all that was left was ashes.
The building around us went up in flames (like a matchbox or Wolverines favorite clothes) so bright that you could see them reflected in her baby-blues (that were staring around at the mess before her in amusement).
They swirled around us licking at our heels like the dangerous things they were created to be but they never touched a hair on either of our heads, just smiled at us like we were old friends that decided to come out and play.
"Gambit was it? I think your a keeper, a shiny new penny in my growing collection. I have just the spot for you, right next to John and his dying little flames. Next to him your the God of all this lovely destruction."
