Chapter 5

Finding out

Once everyone was awake, they told the driver to take them to the nearest mall. Once they stopped, they filed out into the mall. Caitlyn and Mitchie went to some girly shop, Nate and Jason went to a sports shop, and Shane went to the ring store.

Shane looked through the glass at all of the engagement rings. None of them seemed right. He looked and looked, and when he was just about to walk out of the store, something caught his eye. Shane walked over to one specific ring that was perfect for Mitchie. It had a silver ring and 3 small diamonds next to each other. It was the perfect size and everything. Mitchie would love it! And because Shane was famous, he had enough money for anything. So he bought the perfect ring and put the box in his pocket.

Meanwhile, Mitchie and Caitlyn walked by the ring store. Mitchie saw a certain black- haired guy buying a ring. At first, she didn't realize it was Shane, so she turned and kept walking. But a second later, she stopped dead in her tracks. She looked back at the guy buying the ring and knew it was her boyfriend. She stared at him until Caitlyn noticed that Mitchie was no longer at her side. "Oh my god." Caitlyn said when she saw Shane. She pulled Mitchie into a shoe store so that Shane wouldn't see them. Caitlyn looked at Mitchie. She was in her own world, but with a huge smile spread across her face. Caitlyn waved her hand in front of Mitchie's eyes, but she didn't notice. Caitlyn finally shook Mitchie out of her trance. "Wow." Mitchie said dreamily. "Okay soon- to- be- Mrs. Shane Grey! Time to come back to earth!" Caitlyn demanded her.

"I wonder when he's planning to ask me." Mitchie said, being happier than ever.

"Well I don't know! You're going to say yes right?"

"I think so."

"What do you mean 'you think so'?"

"I mean, I love him to death, I do! But I'm 20!"

"SO?! COME ON YOU'RE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER!"

Mitchie grinned from ear to ear…

"Hey Shane, when are we going back to the bus?" asked Jason. Shane replied 'now'. Connect 3 walked around the mall and saw Mitchie and Caitlyn in a shoe store. All five of them trampled back into the bus and sat in the living room; Mitchie, Shane, and Jason on the couch and Nate and Caitlyn sitting in a booth to the table.

"So what did you guys get?" Caitlyn asked Connect 3.

"Nate and I went to a sports store." Jason replied.

"Typical." Caitlyn answered.

"Where did you go Shane?" Mitchie jumped in.

"Nowhere and everywhere!" Shane teased. Everyone laughed.

Later…

Caitlyn and Nate were close together in the corner, Jason had gone into the hallway with the beds, and Shane and Mitchie were sitting on the couch. The soon- to- be wedded couple had both hands twined together, while they just looked into each other's eyes. Wow. He's so gorgeous. I really am lucky… and he's about the best boyfriend ever! Mitchie thought to herself. Shane had the most amazing dark brown eyes. It seemed that he was perfect for Mitchie's liking.

Shane grinned at her, and leaned in to kiss her. But she was taken of guard, she was so caught up in his eyes, the kiss took her by surprise. But she didn't care. She wrapped herself around his neck and Shane around her waist. It didn't even start out as a light kiss. The make-out session had started and Caitlyn and Nate hadn't even noticed; because apparently they had been doing it too. I am so happy he's going to ask me. She thought. She grinned, which kind of ruined the making- out. Shane broke the kiss that had already been fading. He smiled back at her and then looked like he was thinking. Mitchie tilted her head to the right and asked him, "What'cha thinking about?" Shane looked at her again. "You." Once again, they went into a trance of just looking into each other's eyes. The right one for me. They both thought at the same time.

"EW! I didn't know when I left it was an automatic make-out session!" Jason yelled from the door. Caitlyn and Nate jumped about a mile apart while Mitchie and Shane just turned their heads. Jason looked completely freaked out. "I should've brought a girl!" he proclaimed. And with that, Jason went back into the bedrooms. Mitchie still had her arms around Shane's neck and laughed. Shane had that awfully hot smile on his face. He pulled her into a hug for no particular reason. "I love you until I die, Mitchie." Shane whispered into her ear. Mitchie hugged him tighter and kissed him lightly. "I love you more." Shane was about to protest, but Mitchie had already pressed her lips against his. Instead of protesting, he deepened the kiss, just ignoring Caitlyn and Nate who were making wolf-whistling noises. "Get a room!" Nate demanded them. Then they stopped. Everyone started laughing. Then Caitlyn and Mitchie went back in the bedrooms while all of Connect 3 stayed in the living room.

"Guys, I've gotta tell you something." Shane reported. Nate and Jason stiffened up. There was an awkward silence that told Shane to just say it. "I'm gonna ask Mitchie to marry me." He said in an undertone, just to make sure Mitchie wouldn't hear it. Nate looked normally when Jason's eyes widened. "Are you serious?!" Jason asked. Shane nodded. "How did I know it? I'm good." Nate said. "What?" Shane asked.

"Come on Shane! You've been dating for four years! Finally!" said Nate.

Shane smiled. "Cool! Now I'm going to have a sister-in-law!" Jason stated. Nate rolled his eyes and Shane laughed. "So when and where are you gonna ask her?" Nate asked steadily.

"Camp Rock. On the night we met."
