Chapter 8
Leaving both Situations.
It was the last week that they were going to spend at Camp Rock. Nate and Caitlyn were somewhere making-out, and Jason had met this girl who was also an instructor. They made a cute couple; she was Ash Blonde, with Charlie-Brown cheeks. She was decently pretty, and Jason liked her a lot. So they had been going out for a few days now.
Mitchie and Shane were now instructing a class for voice. Today was a talent day and a lot of kids wanted to sing. One blonde girl came up to sing, and she looked oddly familiar. "What's your name?" Shane asked. The girl looked snobby. "I'm Tia Tyler! TJ Tyler's daughter!" she said bragging. Then Mitchie piped up. "You're Tess' younger sister?" she asked smiling, but on the inside, she was so mad she had Tia Tyler in her class. "The one and only!" Tia said, with that snobby voice just like her sister's. Shane saw Mitchie smiling, but could tell she was boiling with anger. "Sing Tia." Shane demanded. So she did, and she was exactly like Tess. Voice wise… okay… but she was better at trying to be good.
Once the class was over, a lot of the kids filed out of the building. Tia to be the last. Once she left, Shane stumbled over to Mitchie. "You okay?" he asked. She half smiled at him. "Yeah… it's just… I thought I was done with the Tyler's a few years ago… that's all…" Mitchie started. Shane hugged her tightly and then kissed her. "Listen, I can teach this class until we leave. You just help me with the other ones, okay?" he offered. Mitchie started to protest, but Shane had already pressed his lips on hers. Then he pulled away. "Listen, there is only one more week of teaching here, and after that, we're going to start planning our wedding. You won't have to deal with them anymore." Shane said sweetly.
Meanwhile, Tia Tyler was standing outside the window, listening into their conversation. "Married? This is rich…" Tia said softly.
Now it was the last day at Camp Rock, and Mitchie was standing on the dock and breathing in the Camp Rock air. She looked out onto the lake. I'm really going to miss this place. I have so many memories here… she thought. Then, a particular man snuck up behind her and put his hands on her stomach from behind. At first, Mitchie jumped, but then saw who was holding her.
"You scared me!"
"I'm sorry." Shane said kissing her cheek.
"Can you believe it's our last day here?"
"No, I can't."
Mitchie turned around so that he was now holding her waist. She took a deep breath and said, "I love you Shane." He grinned and returned the three words, well… in his case four.
"HEY! LOVE BIRDS! GET ON THE BUS BEFORE I MAKE YOU!" Jason screamed. (Funny how I used 'love birds'.) The engaged couple ran to the bus and drove away. Mitchie looked out the window to see Camp Rock growing farther and farther away from her. The sight almost brought tears to her eyes. Then Shane put his hand on her shoulder. "You'll be back." He said quietly. Then Caitlyn picked out a movie for everyone to watch. They all sat around the couch, or on it, and watched the movie. A few hours later, Big Rob came from the passenger seat from the other room and saw that Connect 3, and their friends, were out cold; asleep. So he left a note.
Mitchie suddenly woke up. She looked around the bus and felt no movement underneath her. They were parked somewhere. Mitchie got up to see everyone sleeping around her. She went to the small counter by the couch, and saw a note.
Dear Connect 3, Mitchie, and Caitlyn;
We have stopped at a hotel for the night. Me and the driver are already in. We already got you a room. It's 9890 on the top floor. You'll be good there.
Big Rob
After Mitchie read the note, she woke up Shane. "What's goin' on?" he asked sleepily. "Let's go inside." She responded. Shane put on a confused look. "Inside?" Mitchie gave him the note. He read it and smiled at her. He got up quickly and took her hand. Is this gonna happen now? Mitchie thought. Good. They got out and went to the room 9890. Once he closed the door to the bedroom, he backed Mitchie up to the wall. They started kissing. This kiss was deep and romantic. Mitchie enjoyed every piece of it as it went along. They broke apart. "I love you so much Shane." She whispered to her fiancé. "I love you too." Shane said, equally as quiet. They both looked at each other, and thought the same thought, I'm ready. They started to make-out again. After a while, they both walked to the bed... (I think you know what happens next. And I really don't want to describe it. Let's just say they were no longer virgins.)
Caitlyn woke up with Nate's arms tightened around her waist. It was still dark. She twisted around and looked at Nate's watch. 1:00 AM. "Ugh…" She looked around the room. Jason was in a chair, sleeping… Mitchie and Shane were nowhere to be found. She turned back around and put her head on Nate's chest. She waited for more sleep to come, but it didn't. Caitlyn sat up and kissed Nate lightly. This awoke him. He rubbed his eyes and pulled Caitlyn closer than she already was. "You okay?" he asked, yawning. She nodded and looked around the room again, as did Nate. "Where are Mitchie and Shane?" Nate asked. Caitlyn shrugged. They both got up and walked into the bedrooms. No Mitchie or Shane. So Caitlyn and Nate went to the counter. They found the note and read it.
"So that's where they are." Caitlyn whispered.
"You wanna go too?" her boyfriend asked.
Caitlyn nodded and the couple started off towards the hotel.
Shane woke up to darkness. He felt his arm around Mitchie's bare shoulders as she slept. Shane opened his eyes and brushed her arm. She stirred slowly. Mitchie looked up at Shane through her sleepy eyes, holding the comforter so that nothing was showing. "Heyyy, you're awake." Shane said to her; flirting like mad. "Sure." Mitchie said, rubbing her eyes and sitting up, still covering herself. Shane sat up as well, and put his hand on her back. "How are you this morning?" he asked.
"Tired."
"I mean…" Shane didn't know how to finish, but Mitchie did.
"Good." She said simply. Shane gave her that beautiful smile of his and kissed her. "Me too." He replied. After a while, Mitchie asked, "Do you think that everyone else is still on the bus?" Shane shrugged and reached over Mitchie. He grabbed something from the floor and handed it to Mitchie. Most of her clothes. They got mostly dressed when Mitchie realized something. "Did we use a condom?"
Nate and Jason sat at the table in the hotel while Caitlyn made breakfast. "Where are Shane and Mitchie?" Jason asked. "Oh, I think they're still sleeping." Caitlyn replied.
Mitchie stiffened. She had her jeans and bra on, but no shirt yet. She was about to put it on when she heard the news. Shane walked over to her slowly and put his hands on her waist. "Mitchie?" he asked. She was staring into space. He swayed her hips making her come back to earth. "What?" she looked into his eyes with an odd look in hers. "Sorry…" Shane started. Then Mitchie changed moods completely. "No! Shane don't be… I mean… we're getting married anyways… and… it might not happen…" she said quietly. He looked sad, and Mitchie knew that he was blaming himself. "Shane… it's really okay." She said with a faint smile. She kissed him and put on her shirt.
Two weeks later, Mitchie snuck into the bathroom with a shopping bag. Once she closed the door, she pulled out a pregnancy test from the bag. She bit her lip, hard. "Here goes nothing." She said to herself quietly. Mitchie did her business (if you know what I mean), and walked over to the sink. If I am pregnant, that's good. Right? I mean… I am going to have kids with Shane eventually… but now? Mitchie thought. She had good and bad sights on being pregnant now. She closed her eyes and shook the pregnancy test. Mitchie opened her eyes and looked down at it.
Shane was sitting in the bedroom he and Mitchie were sharing. Now they were at a different hotel than the one two weeks ago. He sat on the bed with his guitar, attempting to write another song. When he almost got something good in his head, he heard a scream. He recognized it as Mitchie. Shane jumped up and ran to the bathroom, leaving his ideas, notebook, and guitar behind. He burst through the door and saw Mitchie drop something in the sink.
