"Ms. Sogeki?" the receptionist asked as I walked into the new Stark Agency with Melissa and Satsuki.
"Hello Ms. Himura, how are you?" I asked, looking at the white haired woman.
"Wonderful now that I'm out of that hospital and they aren't forcing me to take medication. Thank you for getting me out of there as well as away from him," she said.
"Not a problem, when the PSA mentioned something about finding why you were there and that there weren't any tests or anything I knew I had to do something. How are you liking the new job?" I asked.
"It's wonderful, and was easy to pick up with Fuyumi and her wife helping me learn what I needed to know," she said. "She actually mentioned you helping her with something dealing with the girls and him."
"Part of it was pure spite against him, part of it was me proving myself," I admitted.
"Well, you've done so much to help us all already, so thank you," she said. "Is there anything else you need?"
"Well, actually I wanted to meet some people who will be coming here. I wanted to make sure that they could properly use some of the space we have set aside for heroes who need a place to work," I explained.
"Of course, I'm assuming you mean some of the American heroes who are here to assist us while we recover from the loss of so many heroes," the woman said smiling.
"Yes, they are giving us their aid so I want to make sure that we help them," I said.
"She also wanted to come check this place out herself," Melissa spoke up.
"Wow, this place is huge," a voice said as the doors opened.
"Hello, how may I assist you?" Ms. Himura asked, turning to the people who just entered.
"We were told we might be able to work out of this place," the familiar voice from yesterday said.
"Of course, there will be some paperwork but I assume you are all used to it at this point," the receptionist said.
"Hello," I said, turning to see the five members of K/DA and Supergirl standing there.
"Huh, who would've guessed that the boss of this place would be here," Ahri said.
"Actually I'm not the boss, she's the boss," I said, pointing to Satsuki who just looked at me confused. "I just pay for everything, and design everything, and make everything cooler," I added, smiling.
"Aw, hello, and who is this?" Supergirl asked, crouching down to her level.
"This is my daughter, Satsuki," I said.
"That's nice, so what are you doing here?" Seraphine asked.
"I wanted to meet with all of you here," I explained.
"Oh, and why's that?" Evelynn asked, a sultry smirk on her face as she fixed her fuchsia colored hair.
"I think it wasn't because she wanted to flirt with us babe," Akali sighed, letting an amused huff out.
"Ignoring the demoness, it's a pleasure to meet you," Ahri said, putting a hand out.
"You as well, I want to thank you for coming to help Japan in our time of need," I said, shaking it. "Now, I only made the layout of this place but haven't seen it myself so let's check it out while Satsuki here hangs out with Ms. Himura," I added, looking at the motherly woman.
"Of course, here, I can show you to the room with a large tv and a bunch of snacks," the mother said, standing up.
"Yay!" Satsuki yelled, her nervousness from all of the strangers vanishing in a moment with the promise of snacks.
"So, there's not too many rooms to see. You can each claim an office or some of you can share if you want. There are a total of thirty offices and only three of them are currently in use," I explained, walking down the hallway.
"Wow, this place is a lot nicer than the offices we work out of in our house," Kai'Sa said.
"Oh, I didn't ask, do you know who all of us are?" Ahri asked, concerned.
"Of course I do, my playlist for when I do most anything, has a lot of your songs in them. Including All Out which can I just say was amazing," I said, leading them down the hall.
"Wow, there's a lot of rooms I can't see into," Supergirl said.
"That's so no one can get information they shouldn't. You can talk to Ms. Himura and use a meeting room for talking to other heroes and planning large raids and such," I explained, motioning to the doors that were labeled 'Meeting Room ##'. "At the end of the hall here is what you were all told to come here for though," I said, looking down at the door. "There are gender specific locker rooms as well as a full weight room and sparring room that can withstand the heat of Endeavour's flames and the old strength of All Might. If you want to go straight to the rooms the doors are labeled. Now, I think you all mentioned you wanted a fight against a certain person," I added.
"Wait, are you saying we can fight Batgirl here now?" Akali asked, slightly amazed.
"Go into the sparing room and wait a moment, Melissa will help you," I said, smirking.
"Where are you going?" Kai'Sa asked.
"No where, just something I need to do real quick," I said, sneaking off into the locker room for females.
I went to the back and set the suitcase I had with me down and quickly changed into my costume. By the time I was done I looked at the saber in my case and decided to leave it for now. I walked out and all of them looked over at me.
"Alright, I think I'm ready," I said, smirking as my voice changer wasn't active.
"Wait, no way," Supergirl said, before she looked at me again. "So, that whole thing of you not being Batgirl was an act."
"Yeah, now you understand why I have enemies with both my identities," I said.
"Definitely," Ahri said.
"That's amazing! Not only are you the coolest child owner of a giant tech company but also a known and talked about hero in training," Seraphine cooed.
"I can't wait for this fight even more now," Evelynn said, claws emerging from her fingers.
"So, what are the rules?" I asked, stretching a little bit.
"Nothing lethal, also try not to break any bones," Ahri explained. "That's our normal rules."
"Sounds like fun," I smirked, grabbing my batons. They all have some form of quirks that physically enhance them except Seraphine so I'll have to be a little more careful with her. I planned, setting the batons.
"Now, this seems like it'll be some fun," Tony said, appearing to the side next to Melissa and Supergirl who jumped.
"He's Izumi's personal AI but she has him focusing on helping her with the company, deciding that she only needs him if she needs an Iron Man suit. Her Batwing suit does have him installed but she's working on a special AI for it," Melissa said.
"Alright, I'll let you start it," I said, getting in a defensive stance.
"Ladies, you know what to do," Ahri said, her tail splitting into nine and crystalizing.
I watched as Kai'Sa was covered herself in a grey and purple liquid that formed claws on her fingers.
"Void Child," I said, recalling what I knew of her quirk.
"You really know our quirks huh?" Akali asked, a dagger appearing in her hand. "What do you know of mine?"
"Dragon Dance, you can move like a Asian style dragon and you use this in your dances as well as fighting with daggers," I said, recalling what her quirk did. "Honestly there's only one I don't know out of all of you and that's because she's new and hasn't been seen much," I added, looking at Seraphine.
"Alright, well let's go," Ahri said, sending a wave of blue fire at me.
I jumped up but was met with Evelynn lunging at me with her claws out. I leaned back and lifted my batons up as she sent her lashers at me and blocked them. I then felt something hit my shoulder and I went flying back. I rolled and looked up as Seraphine and Akali both came towards me moving much faster than I've seen before. I flipped back and threw a batarang at them. I then heard a high pitched yell and the batarang fell down.
"Sonic cry, alright," I said, looking up as my ears rang
"Now," Ahri said.
I turned as a purple beam, blue fire, and a pink light shot out at me. I yelped as they hit me and I flew back a bit.
"Izumi!" Melissa shouted.
"MOMMY!" a small voice yelled.
I looked up as a small form stood between me and the others. It had long pink to purple hair and fur covered its small arms and claws came out of the fingers. I then watched as two small wolves came out of the shadow of the form. One was white and glowed while the other was black and had shadows flowing off of it.
"Satsuki!" Ms. Himura yelled.
"Hey, it's fine, I'm alright," I said, sitting up with a slight grimace. I'll feel that tomorrow.
"Mommy!" the small form said, turning to reveal Satsuki had pink fur starting to grow on her face. The wolfish features faded as she tackled me in a hug.
"I think it's best we call it there," Ahri said.
"Satsuki, how did you summon those wolves?" I asked, looking at where they were to see nothing.
"What wolves?" she asked, looking up at me.
"What's her quirk?" Evelynn asked, walking over.
"We thought it was just a base wolf transformation, however, now I'm not sure. Melissa, could you do me a favor and take Satsuki to the med bay here just to make sure she didn't hurt herself in her charge?" I asked, looking at her.
"Of course, let's go make sure you're alright sweetie," Melissa said, picking her up and walking off with Ms. Himura following.
"Alright, what's up with her?" Supergirl asked.
"She has a supernatural based quirk similar to ours I would say," Akali guessed.
"I would say very similar to Ahri's more than anything," Serapine said. "An animal transformation and additional powers. Who are her parents?" A moment of silence then followed as I looked up at her. "Did I say something wrong?" she asked, a small look of confusion and slight fear.
"Sera," Evelynn started.
"It's fine, she's just curious," I said, shaking my head. "Her mother had a wolf mutation and was killed when she was born. Her father took her and held her captive as well as ran experiments on her. I'm assuming you've heard of Mr. Negative who I fought on I-Island," I explained.
"Oh my god," Seraphine said, putting her hands to her mouth.
"She was held by him from birth till she was five. When they found her they contacted me since I was the person in charge of the island at the moment. I wanted to adopt her immediately but wanted to talk to my girlfriends first but never really got a chance till a couple of days ago," I said.
"I would be willing to work with her quirk and train her," Ahri said. "After classes if you want to bring her here we'll be off patrol at that time. I might not be able to help her with the summoning but with the transformations and other abilities from her wolf and transformations."
"I might take you up on that," I said, looking at the room that Melissa and Satsuki just entered. "I want the best for her, and she needs interactions with more people."
"How old is she?" Kai'Sa asked.
"Five, she also seems to have connection and protection issues," I sighed, as she ran out with Melissa and Ms. Himura behind her.
"Mommy! I'm fine, why do they smell weird? She smells like a fox, she smells like evil, she smells like darkness, she smells like a dragon, and she smells like fairies," Satsuki said, running over and pointing at Ahri, Evelynn, Kai'Sa, Akali, and Seraphine in that order.
"That's because of what our quirks are. Evelynn, Akali, and I can also smell what people's quirks are," Ahri explained.
"What do I smell like?" Supergirl asked, crouching down.
"You smell like light," Satsuki said, confusion in her own voice.
"It's alright to be confused about what they mean. You see, we have very similar quirks," she added, jumping and transforming into a small blonde fox with one tail.
"Ooo!" Satsuki said, looking and changing into her wolf form.
"Do you want me to teach you how to choose when to transform?" Ahri asked, still in her fox form.
"Awo?" she whimpered, tilting her head.
"I don't think she can speak like you can," I said, looking at Satsuki.
"Oh, the two of them are the same size! It's cuteness overload!" Seraphine squealed.
We all laughed as Satsuki-wolf approached Ahri-fox and sniffed her before sitting down next to her. There was the sound of a bunch of phone cameras shuttering that filled the air for a moment.
"Permission to post this on socials?" Evelynn asked.
"I'm doing it too," I said.
"I would say to stop but I have learned that nothing can stop them," Ahri sighed.
"Same," Melissa agreed.
"It's nice to know you have people behind you to stand with," Supergirl said, a hint of something in her voice.
We all talked for a bit after I changed (and checked my wounds) as Ahri and Satsuki both ran around the room in their animal forms.
"Alright, well tonight's a school night, so we are going to have to leave," I said, picking Satsuki-wolf up who whined in response. "You know aunt Yumi would end us if you didn't get to bed in time."
"Well, it's been fun, also since you can now be a sidekick don't be afraid to ask us," Supergirl said.
"I'll keep that in mind, have a good day all of you," I said, as the small wolf slowly went to sleep. "Um."
"Don't worry, she'll be fine sleeping in animal form. It'll be good actually," Ahri explained, switching to her human form.
"Let's get the sleeping child to bed," Melissa said.
The two of us left and went to my house and got Satsuki in her bed.
"Hey Mel," I started once we got out.
"Yes?" she asked, looking at me.
"I know this is me being overly worried about nothing, but I wanted to ask if you could live here? You'll have your own room and everything but, everyone knows that we're dating and I just want to make sure you're safe," I admitted.
"You think someone's going to come kidnap me and try to use me to bargain with you?" she said.
"I-I'm not sure, it's just every night when you go home I stay awake for longer than when you stay here. The same happens with Setsuna too," I said, remembering my inability to sleep. "The difference is she's in a house with at least one hero every night, you aren't and the nearest hero is thirty minutes away."
"Why am I not surprised that you figured that out already?" she sighed. "I'm assuming Yumi and my father already know about this."
"Yeah," I admitted, looking down and away from her.
"When do I move in?" she asked, wrapping her arms around me.
"Saturday if you want," I said, smiling as she put her face to the back of my neck.
"Perfect, now let's go to your room and cuddle," she said.
"Sounds good to me," I said, turning and picking her up like a princess.
I walked to my room and set her on my bed before getting in and cuddling with her. The next day the two of us walked with Satsuki to school and dropped her off at class before checking in with 1-A. First we were introduced to the student who would be taking Bakugou's spot, May Parker and Mr. Aizawa explained that she was a hero/support student too. We were then told that we would be discussing stuff during the second half of the day taking up both hero periods. After that he released the hero/supports to our support classes.
"So, you're still a hero course student?" Parker asked.
"Since you're in our class I'll just let you know that I'm actually Batgirl. I can't really keep the secret from classmates," I said, smirking.
"Dang, that voice changer really does a lot," she sighed.
"You're telling me, she woke me up one day that I stayed at her house with it," Melissa said.
"You weren't getting up and we were going to be late to class," I countered.
"You literally have a motorcycle we could have taken to get here on time," Melissa replied.
"Still, we both know why I don't bring it to UA everyday," I said.
"I'm guessing it's an emergency Iron Man suit," Parker guessed.
"Can we just drop it please," I sighed.
We walked into the workshop and got to work on our gear. I noticed Parker was making a more advanced version of her suit and Hatsume was designing a gun, which slightly scared me. I got to work on the vehicle I was designing and by the end of the day had the first full design done. Talking to Power Loader there was a car shop I could use to build it but I would need a team of four to make it. Talking to Melissa and Hatsume they agreed to help me build it, I just had to help them build something in Mel's and my home lab. I then asked Parker if she wanted to join us and after saying I had a lab she could use too she agreed. After classes the four of us went to lunch and were joined by the normal three people from 1-A.
"So, Parker, why are you joining the hero course?" Ashido asked.
"Well, I've always loved heroes and my father is, was, one in America before an accident. My step-mom and I moved here for a new start. After I got my first taste of heroics I needed to find a way in, I-Sogeki helped me figure out how to," she said, slipping up on my name.
"Wait, who's your father? And what do you mean first taste of heroics?" Ashido asked.
"Well, my dad was Spider-Man in New York, and I was on I-Island during the attack and helped in my homemade suit, which I am going to be still using until I finish a cleaner version, and help Batgirl fight Mr. Negative using the name Spider-Girl," she admitted. "When I got home my step-mom was furious, then told me that she was going to teach me how to fight and protect myself."
"Cool," Jirou said.
We kept talking about small things while eating before going to the classroom.
"Alright, those who have provisional licenses can go on Work Studies with Pro Heroes and act as sidekicks. Now, today I asked some students to come talk to you about them, they are called the Big Three," Mr. Aizawa said as the door opened.
I watched as the blonde Mini Might who threatened me in the cafeteria walked in with Hado and Haya behind him. Ms. Tsutsumi looked at them with annoyance.
"Hi!" Hado said, looking at everyone before getting ready to move but a hand was placed on her shoulder.
"Hey, I'm Yuyu Haya and this is Nejire Hado. We're interns under Ryukyu," Haya said, keeping her girlfriend from attacking us with questions.
"Hello, I'm Miro Togata, I'm under Sir Nighteye," the blonde boy said.
"Ask them any questions you have about work study internships," Mr. Aisawa said.
Everyone sat there and looked at them with no one moving.
"How about this, I will show you what we experience in our internships in a fight?" Togata offered.
"Sure, it will show them what to expect," Mr. Aizawa agreed.
"Let's make this a one v. one, the most powerful of your class against me," he said, looking directly at me.
"You're on," I said, smirking.
"Alright, put your costumes on and meet the rest of us at Gym Beta," Mr. Aizawa said.
I stood up and grabbed my black case and went to the locker room and started to change.
"Izumi, don't do this," Setsuna said, walking in.
"Why not?" I asked.
"We both know he already doesn't like you, what if he decides to do something to you?" she asked, her voice wavering.
"What is the actual problem?" I asked, turning to look at her holding my shirt.
"I don't want to lose you, I lost my parents and now my dad's back, but I can't see that happen to you. I love you too much," she said, walking up and pulling me into a hug.
"I know, and I don't want to lose you either. If it gets too dangerous I'll tap out," I explained.
"Thank you, also sorry for not being able to join you yesterday, can I help with watching Satsuki today?" Set asked.
"Sure thing love," I agreed. "Now let me put some more clothes on."
"Hmm, but boobs," Set countered.
"Do you want everyone to see my boobs?" I replied.
"I guess not," she said, letting go.
I finished putting my costume on and went to find all of them in the gym. I went over to them and found Togata had a white, blue, red, and yellow costume on.
"Ready?" I asked, twirling my staff.
"I should be asking you that," he said, getting low as yellow sparks jumped off him.
He then charged me faster than I thought he would. I dodged and went to stab him with my staff but it passed through him.
Strength and intangibility, strange. I thought to myself.
I leaped away from him as he turned around. I noticed his face change from a smile to a glare. Something about the air around him changed as his body seemed to blur. In a moment a burst of air went around me as periwinkle hair went in front of me. I then heard a scream.
"Nejire!" Haya screamed.
"Nejire? What are you doing?" Togata asked, surprised.
"Y-you were going to h-hit her w-with a f-full powered p-punch. I-I didn't w-want to s-see h-her g-g-get h-hurt," Nejire stuttered, trying to breathe before falling back as I caught her.
"Hey, it's fine, I got you," I said, looking up to see Mr. Aizawa was already on the phone.
"Nej, hey Nej, are you alright?" Haya asked, running over to us and taking Hado's face in her hands.
"Y-yeah," she stuttered.
"Everyone head to the classroom, Togata go to your class," Mr. Aizawa commanded. "Tsutsumi make sure they get there."
As everyone left I stayed with Hado's head on my lap as blood started to come out of her mouth.
"Mr. Aizawa," I started.
"Recovery Girl is almost here," he assured me.
I looked down and Nejire's eyes started to slowly close.
"Hey, Hado?" I asked. "Hey, stay awake! I need you to keep your eyes open for me," I said, frantically tapping the side of her face.
"Nej, Nej babe, can you open your eyes?" Haya asked, tears going down her face.
"What on earth happened?" Recovery Girl asked, barging in.
"Hado got hit by a full power punch by Togata that was aimed at Sogeki," Mr. Aizawa informed her.
"She just went unconscious," I added.
"Alright, watch out so I can heal her," she said, walking over to the other side of Hado from Haya.
She kissed her forehead and I watched as the blood stopped pouring out.
"There, she's stable. Now, let's get her to my office. She might have to stay the night," Recovery Girl said.
"Th-the night? I-I can't leave her by herself, b-but I-I don't w-want Yuki to see her like this," Haya cried, tears rolling down her eyes.
"I can take her home with me and watch her for the night," I offered. "I'm sure Satsuki would be glad to have her over and Mel and Set would love to help me watch her as well as Yumi."
"A-are you sure?" Haya asked.
"Of course, I know you're going to say it's not, but I feel like it's my fault to a degree. Let me help," I said.
"Alright, thanks," Haya said, looking over to see two bots putting Hado on a gurney.
"Here's my number, I'll pick her up when school is done," I said, quickly writing it on a piece of paper and handing it to her.
"I'll repay you," she said.
"Just make sure she's alright," I countered.
"Deal," she said, going with Recovery Girl as Hado was taken out of the gym.
"Go change and get to the classroom problem child," Mr. Aizawa sighed.
"Yes sir," I said, getting up and rushing off.
AN-
So, there were four characters who could've gotten hurt during that last scene and I rolled a D4 and Nejire was chosen. Now then, I'm going to take a small break(read who knows how long) on writing this fic for a couple of reasons. First is because ADHD brain gave me an idea for a fic I'm going to try to write. I'm also fixing some backend story parts just because I realized that there was a mistake and I have no clue how long this is going to take me and the next arc needs it to be fixed or it will not be good enough. Please let me know what you want to see be included or added to this fic! Make sure to follow, favorite, comment, and kudos! Link Out!
