I walked into the classroom after changing and shared a look with Melissa and Setsuna to which they both nodded. I sat down and looked at my hands as I felt something I haven't in a long time, helplessness.
It was just like at Aldera, I couldn't do anything. I could just be there and try to do something, feeling, something. Why did I feel like I was back at the USJ or when Mel was taken? I felt as if I almost lost something close to me, was it because if Hado didn't intercept it I would be in her position? I thought, looking at the rush of power I felt from him and recognizing it from when I was in Kamino. I need to talk to Nezu about this.
"Hey, are you good?" Melissa asked.
"Yeah, just thinking," I admitted.
"The bell just rang," Setsuna added, walking over.
"Thanks, we have two little girls to pick up," I sighed, standing up.
"Two?" Melissa asked.
"Hado's staying the night here and Haya doesn't want to leave her alone so I volunteered to watch after Yuki for them," I explained. "I messaged Ahri saying that she wouldn't be able to train with her today. We'll pick them up and walk home. I'm going to need both of your help if possible for the whole night," I added.
"Of course," Melissa said.
"I was planning on hanging with you anyways," Setsuna agreed.
"Well, time to go be a parent during a sleepover," I muttered, standing up.
We went to the kindergarten and found both girls cuddled together napping in their animal forms on a beanbag. This was the first time I've seen Yuki in full snow leopard form and she was just as small and cute as Satsuki.
"Hello, I was told that you were going to pick up both of them," Mrs. Tatsuma said, looking at us. "Technically I should've woken them up a bit ago but you have to admit that they are very cute like this. My daughters are over there doing the same thing," she added pointing to the other beanbag where two miniature dragons were cuddling with the red one breathing heated smoke on the white one which was blowing frost on the red one.
"Ok now that's just diabetes level cuteness," Setsuna said.
"I'll wake them up," Mrs. Tatsuma said, walking over to the beanbag they were on. "Hey, there's some people here to take you home," she said, nudging them.
"Rrrr," Satsuki whined.
"Mrrrg," Yuki whined.
"Come on, you want to go home don't you?" she asked.
I watched as the two of them got up and transformed back into the normal forms with clothes making me realize something.
Only supernatural based quirks allow the user to make what they are wearing vanish. That means Yuki has one too! Wait, if she's like Satsuki then she was probably saved by a hero or Hado. I thought as the two gathered their stuff.
"Where's mommy and momma?" Yuki asked, walking over to us.
"They said that you could have a sleepover with Satsuki and asked us to come pick you up if you want to," Melissa said.
"Yay, you can spend the day with me and mommy!" Satsuki said.
"B-but I-I've never stayed anywhere but at home with mommy and momma with me," she said, uneasy.
"Don't worry, Satsuki will be with you the whole time, so will Setsuna, Melissa, and I," I explained.
"A-alright," she said, walking over to us.
"Here, you can hold my hand as we walk home!" Satsuki said, holding her hand out.
"Ok," Yuki said, grasping her hand, much more comfortable with the idea.
"Well, let's get going," Setsuna said, motioning towards the door.
Satsuki and Yuki grabbed Setsuna and my hands respectively while Melissa held my other hand and leaned on my shoulder. We walked home with not many people looking weirdly at us. When we reached the house Yuki looked up at it in slight apprehension.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"It's big, like the scary place," she said.
"I don't know what scary place you're talking about but I had this place built to be safe for anyone who comes here. You don't have to be scared of it," I said, my mind filing that for later.
"Ok, I guess it looks different," she admitted, calming down.
"Let's go in and watch a movie!" Satsuki said, running off into the house.
"Y-yeah," Yuki said, joining her.
I shared a slightly worried look with Melisa and Setsuna before we chased them in. We found them in the theater with Satsuki trying to figure out the remote.
"Having issues?" I asked.
"Mommy, can you help us?" Satsuki asked, holding the remote out.
"Of course. What do you want to watch?" I asked, a smile appearing on my face as I sat next to her.
"Pokemon!" she proclaimed.
"Of course, where are you at now? Diamond and Pearl?" I asked, pulling up the show.
"Uh Uh! We just met Dawn! She's so cool!" Satsuki said.
"I agree, she's the best of all of Ash's allies!" Setsuna agreed.
"Incorrect, Pikachu is the best," Melissa said.
"Best human ally," Setsuna corrected herself.
"Nah, I think Lilie's the best just because of her growth as a character," I countered.
"Just turn it on please!" Satsuki whined.
"Yeah, Pokemon is the greatest!" Yuki agreed.
"Alright," I said, turning the show on.
We sat in the theater watching the show for many hours until it got to be time for us to start getting dinner around.
"So, what do you want for dinner?" I asked.
"Hot beef soba, that's what momma normally makes at least," Yuki said.
"If that's what you want I don't see why I can't make it. If you want to stay here and continue watching Pokemon while I make it it's fine," I said, getting up.
"Yay, mommy makes the best food!" Satsuki cheered.
"Agreed," Melissa said.
"Thank Yumi for teaching me," I said, getting up and walking to the kitchen.
"Alright, what are we making?" Yumi asked, walking in.
"Hot beef soba soup," I said. "Yuki asked for it since she is staying the night."
"Aizawa told me, I just hope she doesn't freak out," Yumi sighed.
"I'm guessing you won't tell me what happened," I said, grabbing the ingredients to start the food.
"Well, I won't give specifics but the case isn't closed yet and is being quote unquote handled, by the Nighteye agency, but they have put it on hold to focus on a more important case," Yumi sarcastically explained.
"What's more important than human trafficking? Especially that of children?" I whispered, to make sure we couldn't be heard.
"What's worse is that since I tend to be on child cases I've been informed by her about everything and we know they have at least one other girl since she kept talking about a onee-san and saying how she would love so many things and everything when she told me about the bad men and how they always were masks. It's part of the reason she doesn't like heroes who cover their mouths," Yumi explained.
"Wow, that's terrible," I somberly said.
"That's just what I can tell you, so, who are you going to try to get a job as a sidekick with?" Yumi asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"I'm not sure, I'm thinking about maybe Mirko but I'm curious if the American heroes can take sidekicks," I admitted.
"Last I heard they could, but I don't know of any that are specifically night based heroes," she said.
"Well, Supergirl is both a daylight and nighttime hero. I haven't asked her yet since I wasn't sure," I explained.
"You realize she is your age right?"
"But she's still a fully licensed hero. I feel like I could learn a lot from her," I said.
"Alright, I can understand that."
We finished making dinner and everyone went to the dining room table and we ate. Once we were done I looked at the time and realized they should head to bed.
"Alright, Yuki, Satsuki, it's time for the two of you to go to bed," I said, standing up.
"Come one Yuki, we can share my bed!" Satsuki said, grabbing her friend.
"A-alright," Yuki agreed, following her.
I went to their room with Setsuna and Melissa trailing behind me. We went into the child's room to find her changing into pajamas while Yuki looked at the pair she was given to borrow.
"Do you need some help?" I asked.
"No, I just miss mommy and momma," she said, quickly changing into the clothes.
"Now then time for the two of you to get in the bed," Melissa said.
"Can I get a kiss from mommy?" Satsuki asked, getting on the bed near the edge while Yuki was near the wall.
"Sure," I said, leaning down and kissing her forehead.
"I mean mommy Mel or mommy Set," Satsuki giggled, causing my girlfriends to freeze before warm smiles appeared on their faces.
"Sure thing sweetie," Melissa said, kissing her forehead.
"Just say the word when you want one," Setsuna added, kissing her forehead as well.
"If you need us we'll be in my room. Yuki, if you need help finding my room just ask Satsuki and she'll help you but it's just one more room down the hall alright. Love you," I said, as I walked out with Setsuna and Melissa coming with me. I turned the light off with the small night light kept the room from darkness.
We went into my room and when the door closed both Melissa and Setsuna squealed a little bit.
"Alright I wasn't sure how I would feel being called mom but that made my heart melt," Setsuna admitted.
"I think I am officially in love with her," Melissa agreed.
"Now you know how I felt," I countered. "So, have you decided who you want to be sidekicks for?"
"Well, I got an offer from Ryukyu so I'm going to talk with her," Setsuna said.
"I was actually thinking the same, although I also thought of reaching out to the Stark Agency and being a sidekick there so I could work under any of the heroes who work out of there," Melissa said.
"How about you?" Setsuna asked.
"Well, I was on a similar thought process as Melissa and was going to ask Supergirl if I could be under her to learn more about how American heroes are as well as learning more about her," I said.
"Why do you want to learn more about her?" Setsuna asked, a smirk on her face.
"Because, when I talked with her after training with K/DA she sounded like she was sad about being lonely here and I thought it would be good to work with her so she would have someone that isn't just another quick team-up," I explained.
"Yeah, I noticed that too but didn't really think too much of it," Melissa admitted.
"You really have the heart of a hero. Never change," Setsuna said, wrapping her arms around me and trapping me in a kiss.
"As much as I would love to, with Yuki here I'd rather be ready to help her than have to try explaining why all of us are naked and smell weird," I countered.
"Touche, so how do you really feel about today?" she asked, keeping me trapped.
"I-I shouldn't even try should I?" I sighed.
"Izumi, you watched as our sempai almost died protecting you from her friend. Even with everything we've gone through that's nothing that a person just deals with, especially since the two of you have started to become friends if the conversation the two of you had at the expo was anything to go by," Melissa said.
"I can't help but feel like it was my fault. I know it wasn't but even then I was helpless to help her. Also, when I caught her from falling I-I felt something similar to when I thought Set died at the USJ or when you were taken during the expo. Like, I know she's attractive and I think we can all agree on that, but it felt like I was more than just attracted to her for her looks like with Camie. I know she's already dating Haya and they have Yuki b-but I felt my heartbreak seeing her like that," I admitted. "I wasn't trying to keep secrets but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to talk to you about it. I also aren't sure I want to even bring this up to them since I don't want to ruin the friendship we have with them."
"Izu, don't worry about all of that stuff," Melissa said, sandwiching me in a hug between her and Setsuna with her head leaning on my shoulder. "So, you think you might be emotionally attracted to her and not just physically?"
"Yes, I mean, she's always so cheery and bubbly and happy and it makes everyone else around her happy. It's almost like she has a second quirk that just makes people joyous," I gushed.
"With the little bit that I've seen from her I can see that happening. Still, she's in a relationship already," Setsuna said.
"I know," I sighed, melting into the embrace I was in.
"So, that brings up the question, how do you feel about Haya?" Melissa asked.
"I'm not sure, she's cute and I like being around her just as much as Hado, and when she was thrown from the top of the building I was pissed but I didn't know why. Part of me just put that to my ability to overtly care for everyone else," I said.
"Alright, how about this, we work on getting close to them as just friends and see if Melissa and I catch feelings for her and Haya or would at least be alright with her joining us," Setsuna offered.
"If we gain feelings for her and Haya then we bring it up to them, if not we discuss what to do then," Melissa added, pressing a small kiss to my neck. "You know we love you right?"
"Never hurts to hear it again," I sighed, as we just stood there in each other's presence for a bit.
"Now, why I don't mind this Izumi sandwich we have made, I would very much rather we continue doing this in bed so we can get to sleep," Setsuna said, pulling away and starting to strip.
We all untangled ourselves from each other before we changed into shorts and tank tops before we all climbed into my King XL bed and cuddled with me in between them and them holding me tight. When the darkness took me I felt a wave come over me as I dreamt of myself in a cuddle pile with more girls while looking at three little girls all cuddled as well. I woke up to a frantic knocking on my door before hearing a scared voice.
"Mommies? Yuki is in her animal form and not listening to me, I think she had a nightmare," Satsuki said.
Hearing this I felt Melissa and Setsuna get up almost as fast as I did and we all went out to find Satsuki standing at my door.
"Mel, stay here with Satsuki, Set and I will calm Yuki down," I said, making my way to my daughter's room.
I walked in with Set right behind me. I looked and saw the small snow leopard cowering in the corner of the room.
"Hey Yuki, it's alright, there's nothing to be scared of," I said, walking over to her slowly.
She then charged me and while I could've dodged I didn't. I winced slightly as her sharp teeth clamped down on my arm. I sat down and hugged her while she thrashed in my hold. I started to pet her fur and whispered to her to calm her down. I then felt her body shift as I was no longer holding a tiny snow leopard but a small child.
"I-I'm sorry," she cried.
"Shh, it's fine, you were scared," I said, still running my fingers through her hair.
"I-I bit you," she said, pulling away and looking at where she bit my arm.
"It's fine, I know you didn't mean to hurt me," I assured her.
I then watched as she licked the wound as if to help heal it. I then watched in amazement as the small bite stopped hurting at all. She looked up at me and I could tell she was both tired and scared.
"Thank you, do you want to sleep with everyone else in my room?" I asked.
"A-are you sure? W-what if I hurt someone again?" she asked, a look ghosting across her face.
"Do you want to hurt us?" I asked.
"No."
"Then I don't see why not," I said, standing up while picking her up.
I looked to see Setsuna giving me a look that said everything she was thinking.
"You really are becoming a true mother," she said, wrapping an arm around Yuki and I before taking the small child. "I'll take her to bed, you go do what you need to," she added, looking at the bite.
"Alright, I'll be right back in a minute," I said, going to the bathroom connected to my bedroom.
I took a large piece of gauze and taped it to the bite before going back in and joining them all on the bed in a giant cuddle pile. I woke up to a bright pink tail thumping against my face. I looked at the clock and saw it was a couple of minutes until my alarm went off. I decided to relax until it went off. I found I was surrounded with Setsuna curled around Yuki who was cuddled into my back and Melissa was curled around Satsuki whose tail was currently in my face. When my alarm went off I heard three distinct grumbles of annoyance.
"I'm going to go make breakfast, if all of you aren't up by the time I'm done I'm going to get a bucket of water," I said, crawling out and going into the bathroom and putting my uniform on.
Once I was dressed I went into the kitchen and started breakfast. By the time I was done they were all dressed and sitting at the table with Yumi joining us as well. We all ate our food and when everyone was done Melissa, Setsuna, and I left with Satsuki and Yuki while Yumi drove to get there earlier than us. We walked past the lab and down the street to the school. When we got there we went and dropped the girls off before heading to 1-A for homeroom.
POV ?
"Young Master, two of the kids have escaped the place in the harbor," a man said, walking up to me with another behind him.
I sighed as I removed my glove and touched him causing him to splatter on the wall.
"Were either of them important?" I asked, looking at the second man.
"One had the X-23 Gene implanted in her and the other has a geo-kinetic quirk that could be powerful if trained," the man said.
"Send the bullets to retrieve them, no killing, also, clean this up," I said, motioning to the bloody wall. "Oh, and tell Rappa to go act as security at the storage for the kids," I added, walking into the room I was next to. "Hello Eri, ready to get started?" I asked, reaching towards the small girl that would help with my plans to heal this world.
AN-
Whew, this was fun to write. So, right now my plan is to focus on writing this and A Shattered Mind. Expect updates to slow down since I'm going back to working on multiple fics. So, there's a lot to unpack in this chapter as the next arc starts to really pick up pace. Also, if you normally hate Overhaul I'm going to make him so much worse in this fic as well as having some connections to other villains from other fandoms. Make sure to follow, favorite, comment, and kudos! Link Out!
