POV Izumi Sogeki aka Batgirl

After the morning classes were done we were at lunch when two people walked up to us to join our lunch table which had two open spots since Jirou and Ashido wanted to sit with some others.

"Hello," Hado announced, sitting down.

"Hado, how are you feeling?" I asked.

"Better, I just wanted to keep you from getting hurt, but I guess I got hurt myself," she said, smiling brightly.

"You know, sometimes you don't think as much as you normally do in the field," Haya sighed.

"Hey, you say that like I don't think at all," Hado pouted.

"Um, I was wondering if you could introduce me to Ryukyu so I could do an internship with her," Setsuna spoke up.

"Sure, it'll be fun to have someone else other than Yuyu to complain about UA teachers too," Hado said, getting Haya to sigh at her antics while the rest of us chuckled.

"Thanks," Setsuna said.

"Are you guys going to try to get an internship too?" Haya asked.

"I'm thinking about talking to some of the heroes at the Stark Agency," Melissa said.

"I'm going to talk to Supergirl about me being an intern with her," I admitted. "I plan on asking when we go to the agency today."

"Who all is going?" Parker asked.

"Mel, Setsuna, Satsuki, and myself," I explained.

"Oh, who's Satsuki?" Hatsume asked.

"My adopted daughter," I said, taking a drink as her face fell momentarily.

"What? Why haven't I heard about this yet?" Hatsume asked.

"Because she's shy around strangers. She was held captive by Mr. Negative of the Sinister Seven on I-Island for her whole life," I explained.

"Now I'm glad I didn't pull my punches too much with him," Parker muttered

"Why would someone do that?" she asked, innocently.

"Because of her quirk, that's why we take her to the agency after school, while we work on homework Ahri teaches her to use her quirk since both of supernatural animal based quirks," I explained. "Oh, I wanted to ask, what exactly is Yuki's quirk?" I added, looking at the two newest members of the table.

"We don't fully know, she has a base snow leopard mutation and can also transform into one, but other than that we haven't done anything since she doesn't trust doctors easily," Haya explained.

"I'm pretty sure it's similar to Satsuki's since only supernatural based quirks can make their clothes disappear and reappear when they transform," I explained.

"Huh, I never thought of that," Haya admitted.

"Would you like to come with us too?" I asked.

"It could be a group date!" Hado exclaimed.

"Well, the girls would have fun playing with their quirks while learning how to control them, and some of us are going to be talking to heroes about internships so not really," I said

"Oh, I guess you're right," she admitted.

"I think it'll be a lovely idea, Ryukyu doesn't need us today anyway," Haya said.

"Alright, Parker, Hatsume, would you like to join?" I offered.

"I would, but I have extra classes with Mr. Aizawa to help me catch up. It's not been easy but he's also helping me with using my webs to move around similar to how he uses his scarf," she said.

"I would but I have already been reached out by some heroes about a couple of internships and am working on figuring out who I want to go with," she said.

"Let me know if you ever need any help with that, I know quite a bit about heroes," I explained.

"Thanks, but I'd rather do it myself," she announced.

"Not to sound rude, but you should stop talking and start eating since lunch is almost over," Haya reminded us.

Quiet fell over us as we finished our meals and went to our respective classrooms. After classes I went to pick Satsuki up while Melissa and Setsuna went to meet us at the entrance. I opened the door to see Hado and Haya beat me here and were playing with the kids.

"Tag, you're it momma!" Yuki said, tapping Haya.

"Oh no, my energy is fading," Haya dramatically sighed, falling to the ground.

"Momma, momma are you sleeping?" Yuki cautiously asked, walking towards her mother.

"Gotcha!" Haya surprised, grabbing her and tickling her.

"Mommy!" Satsuki called, jumping at me.

"Hey, have a good day?" I asked.

"Yeah, Miss Hado and Miss Haya came to play with us," she said.

"Well, it seems like it's time for all of us to go to the agency," Hado said, walking over to us.

"Are we going with them too?" Yuki asked.

"Yes we are," Haya explained, standing up with her in her arms.

"Let's get going!" Yuki said.

The group of us walked to the gates where Satsuki jumped out of my arms and charged Melissa and Setsuna.

"Mommies!" she cried, latching onto Setsuna.

"Hey, how was school?" Setsuna asked.

"We had lots of fun!" Satsuki said, letting go and giving Melissa an equally large hug.

"So, I'm guessing you are in a poly relationship," Haya said, looking at me.

"Yeah, we've been keeping it on the downlow but Satsuki knows nothing about subtly," I sighed.

"Your secret is safe with us," she said.

"Thanks."

The group of us went to the Stark Agency and after greeting Ms. Himura met up with Ahri and Seraphine in the gym.

"I'm going to go talk to Supergirl about interning under her," I said, looking at Set and Mel as Satsuki was in wolf form with Ahri in fox form and Yuki in snow leopard form.

I walked out and found the office with her name on it. I knocked.

"Come in," she called out.

"Hello," I greeted.

"Sogeki, how can I help you?" she asked.

"Well, I was wondering if I could intern under you," I explained.

"Really, why?" she asked, putting the paperwork she was doing off to the side.

"Because, you do work at night as well as during the day and also have an amazingly powerful quirk as well as the ability to hold yourself back. Like what you said when interviewing me for my license, it's alright that I use my rage to fight but I need to be careful, you could easily kill any low level villains but hold your power back to not. I want to learn how to hold my rage back similarly," I explained.

"Alright, I'll give you a condition, I want you to face me with no equipment, gear, costume, armor, nothing. If you can hold your own against me I'll sign you on," she offered.

"Deal, we'll do it when Satsuki is done with her quirk training so she doesn't interrupt like last time she saw me fight," I said.

"Sounds like a plan to me, come get me when you're ready," she said, going back to her paperwork.

I made my way down to see Satsuki concentrating as hard as she could with a funny expression on her face. I looked to see Yuki and Ahri off to the side with Yuki looking at Ahri's blue fox fire. I then noticed a small glow around Yuki's form as something began to form in her hands. I watched as a small bluish white ball of light formed in her hands.

"Woah, Yuki, what's that?" Hado asked.

"I don't know," she said.

"Throw it at me," Ahri said, jumping back in her fox form.

"Okay!" Yuki said, tossing it at the fox.

We all watched in amazement as it hit Ahri and, for lack of a better word, exploded into a bunch of snow properly covering her fox form.

"Looking very cool there babe," Kai'sa said as the rest of the members of KDA walked in.

"Ha ha," Ahri deadpanned, jumping out of the pile of snow and shaking the water and snow off of her fur before changing back into her human form.

"She can make balls of snow that explode, that's very interesting," Evelynn purred.

"Awe, who's this cutie?" Seraphine cooed.

"Our daughter," Hado said, wrapping an arm around Haya.

"She has a quirk similar to Satsuki so I thought Ahri might be able to help her learn what she can do," I explained.

"Gah!" Satsuki grunted as she went into her hybrid transformation and the black and white wolves jumped out of her shadow.

"That's it," Ahri said, walking over to Satsuki. "Can you tell me what made them come out?" she asked.

"I thought about my mommies being hurt and wanting to help them," Satsuki explained.

"So it comes from your wanting to protect people. Next time we'll see what you can do with them, it's time for me to go to work," Ahri said.

"Alright!" Satsuki exclaimed.

I watched as the wolves vanished and she went back to her normal form.

"Remember, you can only use your quirk when we are here," I reminded her. "Now, I have something I have to do here so you and Melissa are going to go home without me. I won't be long," I promised.

"Okay mommy," she said, giving me a hug before jumping on Melissa's back.

"Hey Tokage, Ryukyu is in her office at this time, want to go meet with her?" Haya asked.

"If it wouldn't be an intrusion," Set said.

"Not at all, Nej, can you take Yuki home while I take Tokage to meet Ryukyu?" Haya asked.

"Of course," Hado said, picking her daughter up as everyone walked out.

"Supergirl, I know you can hear me," I called out to the empty room.

A couple of minutes later the Girl of Steel walked in.

"Alright, sure you are willing to do this?" she asked, taking her cape off.

"Yup," I said, putting my fists up.

I blinked and she charged me. I grabbed her fist and used all my strength to push it away as I dodge.

"That's all you got? Maybe letting you pass was a mistake," she said, kicking me as I lifted my arms in an x to block.

As the kick hit I was sent flying back, but flipped to land on my feet as I skid to a stop. I looked up and she was in my face and went to punch me but I grabbed her fist with both my hands and used all my newly enhanced strength to stop it. I looked up and twisted my body and used it to throw her away from me but she landed in the air flying.

"Don't you want to work with me, prove yourself," she challenged, charging me.

I jumped at the last moment and kicked her as she turned around to face me again.

"You'll never be a hero at this rate."

"Shut up!" I yelled, punching her to the ground.

I then jumped on her and started to throw punch after punch into her face. I just kept punching her until a thought went through my mind and I stopped my fist a centimeter from her face. I noticed just how heavily both of us were breathing.

"Nice, you're a lot better than I was when I was first given this test," Supergirl said. "Mind letting me get up?"

"Sorry," I huffed, lifting myself up and putting a hand out to help her up.

"When I first got my license Superman gave me the same test and I failed, he didn't let me out on patrol even with him. I had to learn to both control my anger and strength, in the end it took a couple of friends to help me figure out how to do it," she explained.

"I guess we aren't too dissimilar in that sense. Before that last punch I thought about my friends and family and used it to reign myself back in," I admitted.

"Well, I guess we should go back to my office so we can work out the contract for you to be a sidekick under me," she said. "Quick warning, I won't be able to pay you too much," she added.

"Do you really think I need it?" I asked, letting out a dry laugh.

"No, still thought I should warn you," she said, leading me to her office. "So, I'm guessing for patrols you want to work mostly at night," she guessed, sitting at her desk.

"Yeah, but day patrols won't be an issue as long as I can be either on the roofs or in my Batwing suit," I explained.

"That thing you used at I-Island, you really went all out with the bat theme," she sighed. "How about this, on weekdays you can meet me here at six and then we can head out until midnight or so."

"Sounds like a good plan," I agreed.

"Alright, now we just need to sign the contract and UA forms," she said, taking the paper and putting it in front of me as I took out the UA form and gave it to her.

Once we both signed the papers we swapped them back.

"I look forward to working with you, Supergirl," I said.

"You too, Batgirl," she replied. "I'll see you tomorrow," she added.

"Yes ma'am."

"You're my age, don't call me ma'am please," she chuckled.

"Sure thing, Supergirl," I said, walking out.

I made my way out of the agency and to the house and walked into the smell of food cooking. I walked in to see Melissa and Yumi making something in the kitchen.

"What are you making?" I asked, slightly concerned.

"American burger ramen," Melissa said.

"I-I wish I knew you were joking, but knowing you two you will manage to make it and it won't be bad. So you know after dinner tomorrow I will have to head out to my new internship under Supergirl as a sidekick," I said, smirking as both froze for a moment before looking at me.

"I guess that makes two of us who have internships starting tomorrow. Mine is right after school with Bubble Girl and Burnin since the two of them have been working as a duo out of the agency," Melissa said.

"Nice going, I'm guessing Mirko said she didn't want you holding her back," I guessed.

"Nah, those were the first two to snatch up patrols with me. Technically I am not tied down to a single hero, I can go with either of them, Mirko, or any other heroes who join the agency. Also, did you hear about Thirteen and Midnight announcing that they will be shutting down their agency and joining the Stark Agency? Set told me that they decided to announce it tonight," Melissa explained.

"Really? We might be able to get the one in Tokyo officialized sooner than I thought," I sighed.

"Tokyo? Do you already have a location in mind?" Yumi asked.

"Actually, yes," I admitted. "Originally we wanted to open the Tokyo one first but I kinda got sentimental and wanted to open the one in Mustafu first. I'll reach out to the head of the agencies and tell them to put a bid on Might Tower."

"Wait, you are going to buy Might Tower, why?" Yumi asked.

"Easily, I know it has more than enough space to run three normal agencies with room to spare in it and since all of the floors except for the first few, which are stores, aren't in use legally we can make a bid on the whole building. It's just sitting there mostly unused and wasting space that good heroes could use," I explained.

"Also it's a way to say f-you to All Might," Melissa added.

"That too, by the way, I just noticed, where's Satsuki?" I asked.

"In her room, if you want to go get her since dinner is almost done it would be appreciated," Yumi said.

I made my way to the hallway and walked into her room with a knock.

"Satsuki, it's almost time for dinner," I said, walking in.

"Ok mommy," she said, coming with me.

"Also, starting tomorrow I'm going to have to go to work after dinner. Between dinner and school though we can spend time together and in the morning too," I explained.

"What will you be doing?" she asked.

"I'll be a hero," I said, leading her to the dining room.

"That's so cool!"

The rest of the night was spent with us hanging out before all of us went to bed. In the morning Yumi made us breakfast before heading to UA. Once Mel and I left with Satsuki deciding she wanted to ride my shoulders instead of walking we realized that we wouldn't be seeing each other much other than during classes and the weekend.

"Since our schedules don't match up we need to plan things for the weekends," I stated.

"You act like Set and I aren't already doing that," Melissa countered.

"Wanna know what, I'm not surprised that you two are conspiring things after what you did at the Expo," I sighed.

"At least we won't be planning anything like that," she admitted.

"Like what?" Satsuki asked.

"Big people stuff," I said.

"Ok, hey mommies?" she asked.

"Yes?" Melissa replied.

"Can Yuki be my sister?"

The two of us froze mid step and shared a look.

"Well, that's a difficult question to answer," Melissa sighed.

"Why?" she asked, innocently.

"Well, for you to be her sister you would have to share parents, however you don't. Now, say we were to start dating her parents then sure you could be sisters, but since we aren't she isn't your sister," I explained.

"Does that mean that you and auntie Yumi share parents?" she asked.

"No, my mommy and daddy weren't good people so she took me in and helped me similarly to what I did to you, however since she couldn't adopt me like I did you she did something special and made me her sister," I said.

"Ok, can you make her my sister?" she asked.

"We'll see, but I can't promise anything," Melissa said, giving me a look.

"That's fine," she said as we walked onto UA's grounds.

We went and dropped Satsuki off and went to the classroom.

"Mr. Aizawa, I have the forms for an internship," I said, walking over to him and handing him the forms.

"Same," Melissa added.

"I guess I should give you mine too," Setsuna sighed, standing up and walking over with forms.

"Oh, I guess here's the ones for me," Hatsume said, giving some forms as well.

"There's no way the two of you got internship acceptances," Ilda grunted.

"Agreed, I do have one to turn in also though," Todoroki said.

"You don't have a license to have an internship Todoroki," Mr. Aizawa sighed.

"Neither does the null to act as Iron-Man, but she's technically under Nezu," Todoroki countered.

"That's because she had several pros from here as well as the fact that she could do it with her suits and not be arrested for vigilantism so it was more so as a courtesy and as a precaution to allow her to protect herself since she could very well be targeted and has the need for them," he sighed.

"I'm more than qualified, far more than either of the quirkless girls, so I deserve to have one," Todoroki argued.

"The only thing you deserve is to take those forms and hand them directly to Nezu," Mr. Aizawa commanded.

"With all due respect, I have the right to be a hero. I've been training to be one since I was a child-"

"And that's the final straw, Shoto Todoroki, take everything with you and don't expect to make it back in this classroom ever," Mr. Aizawa said.

"Make me," he threatened.

"Fine, I have to give these official papers to Nezu anyway," Mr. Aizawa said, taking all of our forms and then grabbing Todoroki in his capture weapon. "Those who need to go to the support labs are free to go," he added, walking out using his quirk on Todoroki as he tried to struggle.

The four of us walked out and classes for the rest of the day were interesting with Todoroki no longer in the class. Once classes were done Melissa walked out of the school with Satsuki and I but broke off to get to the Agency while we went home. Yumi and I made dinner before I headed out. I got to the Agency as Melissa was preparing to leave.

"How was the patrol?" I asked.

"Interesting, I hope I can talk to you about it at some point but aren't too sure. I'm just hoping that I'm kept on this," Melissa said, giving me a hug. "Be safe, ok babe?"

"Of course," I said, giving her a quick peck as I could tell she was feeling a little down.

I went to the locker room and changed into my costume before going to Supergirl's office. I knocked on the door and waited.

"Alright, ready to go?" she asked, walking out.

"Of course," I said, not knowing how unprepared I was for what was going to happen.

AN-

The next chapter will introduce some very special characters. One should be very familiar while the other two might be a little less familiar. Also we will learn what happened during Melissa's patrol before going on Izumi's patrol which will be interesting since I'm going even further from the track while also staying right in line with it.
