The sound of her footsteps echoed loudly throughout the hallway as she slowly made her way to the exit. Tomorrow morning her plan would take place. It was revenge years in the making, and most would not understand, but she stood by her decision. The items they made down here, weren't safe. The knowledge they kept down here, wasn't safe.

"Miss Weasley, are you sure this is what you want. It won't be easy?" Ginny nodded. She knew it wouldn't easy, but not because the reasons that the unspeakable in front of her thought. She wouldn't just be lying to her family and friends about her job, she would also be lying to her colleagues.

"I know it won't be, but I got accepted as a reserve seeker for Holyhead Harpies and that will give me the excuse I need to get away. It will allow me to travel and learn from different cultures. I'm sure that this is the path I want to take," She stated, making sure her mind only had good intentions showing. As far as they knew, she was doing this to protect magical Britain, and just that.

Hermione would kill her if she ever found out what she had done, but Ginny knew that she had to do this, and if even one small bit was left, the unspeakables would be able to use it. No, it was time for the unspeakables to stop existing. For the past few years she combined her job as reserve seeker with research analyst, but tomorrow would be her first day as main seeker, leaving no time for the unspeakables. Normally unspeakable was a job for life, the secrets where to big for just anyone to know. If you decided to leave, your memory was wiped. Most people preferred to stay till death. But Ginny's case was different. After tomorrow she would be the only unspeakable left. There would be no-one to stop her, she would be the first unspeakable to quit and remember everything. She would also be the only one to remember everything. And it was knowledge that she would never share. It was too dangerous.

"hey, are you planning on staying much longer?"

Ginny looked up to see one of the other unspeakables standing in her doorway.

"Oh, sorry, I got caught up in my research. What time is it?"

Only the head unspeakable knew who everyone was, no-one else knew who was who. Names were discouraged, especially after the war, as some known unspeakables causes a shame to the department.

"It's 11 and we're the only ones left."

Ginny nodded, and closed her books, "I guess I'll stop in that case. You weren't waiting for me to finish were you?"

"Sorry, it's a safety rule. Until you've done lock up at least 50 times with someone else, your not allowed to lock up on your own."

Once again Ginny nodded. This was fine for her. She wanted people to be used to her being the last person to leave, but she also wanted people to trust her. Chatting with colleagues on the way out, was a sure way to build trust.

After a few months she ended up being the last to leave more and more often, occasionally she would still leave with a colleague, but by the time she had worked there for a year, she was locking up on her own most nights. The late nights gave her the perfect opportunity to study past research, but most importantly it gave her time to plan. As she walked towards the exit on her own for the very last time, she felled relieved. No more lying after today, no more plotting, no more pretending. After tomorrow there would be less danger in the world.

"See you tomorrow, for our weekly meeting!"

Ginny looked up just in time to nod, before her colleague walked out of the door. Once again happy for being known as a night owl. At first people had stayed late, trying to see what time she would stop, but eventually they had stopped.

Ginny looked around her office, personal items had already been packed in her bag ready for her to leave once everything was set. Ginny grabbed to book in front of her. She wanted to do another hour of reading, before she started setting everything up, just in case someone returned. She had learned early in her career that until 11 o'clock people would occasionally pop back in to check something.

As the clock struck 11, Ginny picked up the book and walked back to the library. As much as she wanted to, it would be to dangerous to take the book with her. And the library was the perfect place to put the first traps. These were also the most crucial. Most information that had to be deleted were here. It took Ginny 45 minutes before she managed to reach the one but last room. The room where all inventions were kept. If you took something for research, it had to be returned at the end of the day. This room was the most dangerous, and difficult. One trap set incorrectly and the invention could cause her whole plan to fall apart. with slow precision, Ginny moved around the room, placing each trap in turn, to millimetre precision. With that done, she made her way to the meeting room with the memory gas.

With one last look around, ginny softly closed the door behind her for the last time. In eight hours' time her first, now ex- colleague, would be walking through the door. An hour later the department would just be no more.

Ginny grabbed her broom, at exactly eight on the dot, confident in the knowledge that in about an hours' time the reason for her family's suffering would be no more. The smile on her face was attributed to her joy at finally making main seeker, and not to her secret plans, that were like the word implied, a secret.
