I never expected to fall in love with Remus Lupin.

But here, under the Whomping Willow, anything seemed possible. His arms around me. His scent surrounding me. His eyes on me.

I craned my neck and kissed him softly. He seemed slightly shocked, but kissed me back as softly as me. I loved him and his habits.

"I don't know how you can stand me." His voice was low and soft in my ear. I shivered automatically, before responding.

"Didn't I tell you a million times before that it doesn't matter?" My voice was just as soft. We had gone over this issue so many times. He was just so conscious of his lycanthropy, and I was determined to show him that lycanthropy couldn't ruin his life. In fact, he'd never had a girlfriend before me, and this was our seventh year. It wasn't as if he couldn't get any girls to go with him; he just didn't let them reach him. He was unattainable. Until, of course, I appeared.

I was a transfer student from Durmstrang. Most said I was beautiful, and I was definitely intelligent as well. As soon as I was sorted, (in Gryffindor) I became best friends with Sirius and James. They were fascinated by me, not to mention they were suckers for girls. Remus hadn't been there, because he had transformed the previous day. The next day I met him, and as they say, sparks flew. We were both obsessed with dueling, and much more intelligent than his friends. Most of the time we were best friends, but after a certain coincidence where I had been pretty much squished by a bludger, we got together.

He pressed his lips to mine again, this time more passionately, and pulled away again before groaning.

"Goddamnit, I don't know how I deserve a goddess like you." He moaned before kissing me again.

This time I was the one who pulled away, and slipped a finger on his lips, silencing him. "I don't deserve you either. That makes us the best couple the heavens have seen yet."

He sighed, dropping the matter and hugging me tight in his arms. And then, we continued into our happy little piece of forever.
