Chapter 13; Snow Day Pt. 1
(Monday morning after Marshall is clear to return to his duties)
(Marshall wakes up first and walks outside to find that it snowed)
Marshall: Woah! Yes! I can play with the pups in the snow too!
(Marshall is so excited that he doesn't notice that the ramp to his pup house is slick, and he slides down)
Marshall: Woooooaaaahh!
(Marshall keeps sliding toward Rubbles pup house)
(Rubble walks out of his pup house)
Rubble: (notices Marshall) Marshall, look out!
Marshall: Wooooooaaahhh!
(They collide, and both start to slide)
*Meanwhile*
(Everest walks up to the Lookout)
Everest: I hope Marshall isn't feeling too left out.
(Marshall and Rubble slide to the front of the Lookout where Everest had just walked up from)
(They crash into Everest, which stops them)
(Rubble slides another foot after crashing and stands back up)
(Everest is lying on her stomach, and Marshall is lying on top of her)
Marshall: *Blushing* Heh, nice catch!
Everest: *Also blushing* Guess you're not missing out at all!
(They both laugh)
(Rubble gets up and looks at both of them with a smirk on his face)
(Rocky and Chase walk up together from their pup houses)
Rocky: (Talking to Chase) I think we need to…
Chase: (Sees Marshall and Everest) Woah! Marshall! What did Ryder tell us in that meeting?
Marshall: (Hops up, blushing even more) NO! NO! NO! It's not what it looks like!
Rocky: Ewwwwww! Make room for Jesus!
Marshall: No! Rubble and I slid into Everest, and I landed on top of her by accident. Here, Everest, let me help you up.
Everest: Thanks!
Chase: Sure… On accident…
Marshall: Yes! Rubble, tell them.
Rubble: (Laying on the ground laughing) No, I saw the whole thing. Marshall tackled Everest, and then this happened…
Chase: Marshall, do we need to talk to Ryder about our rules again?
Marshall: What?! No! Not funny, Rubble.
Rubble: Okay. I'm joking! Yes, Marshall slid into me, and then we both slid into Everest.
Everest: Thank you, Rubble!
(Marshall walks inside with his tail tucked and his face red)
Rubble: Wait, Marshall!
(Rubble starts to chase after Marshall)
(Everest puts a paw up to stop him)
Everest: Let him be. I'll go talk to him.
(Everest walks into the Lookout)
Rubble: What just happened?
Ryder: (standing up on the lookout balcony) You embarrassed him.
Rubble: Ah! Oh, Hey, Ryder.
Rocky: How long were you standing there?
Ryder: I saw the whole thing happen. Even before you and Chase showed up.
Rocky: Oh.
(Zuma walks up from his pup's house)
Ryder: Oh, hey, Zuma! Sorry if we woke you.
Zuma: *yawns* Hey, Ryder, what's going on, guys?
Rocky: It's a lot to explain, but Marshall is really embarrassed right now.
Ryder: Rubble, you owe Marshall an apology. You embarrassed him in front of his crush.
Zuma: Wait, who's Marshall's crush?
Ryder: Everest.
Zuma: What?!
Chase: You didn't know that?
Zuma: No! I just thought they knew each other before and were close friends.
Rocky: Nope! They just like each other.
Zuma: Huh? Hey, Ryder, do you know who else likes who?
Ryder: Yeah. I know who all of you like. It's actually pretty easy to tell.
(Everyone starts to blush)
Chase: You know what? I don't care if anyone else knows who I like. Ryder, tell them who I like.
(Skye walks up from behind Chase)
Skye: Hey Chase, what are you guys up to?
Chase: Ah! Oh, hey, Skye!
Ryder: Chase, (with a smirk on his face) you still want me to say who you like now?
Chase: No! I mean, I don't know what you're talking about.
(Ryder laughs to himself)
Ryder: Alright!
Skye: Wait, what's happening?
Chase: Marshall is upset with us. Specifically Rubble.
Skye: About what?
Ryder: Rubble embarrassed him in front of Everest.
Skye: Oh.
(Everest walks out)
Rubble: Hey, Everest! How did it go?
Everest: Not good! Skye, come with me.
Skye: Okay!
(They both walk in to go talk to Marshall)
Rocky: Ryder, do you not see what's happening? What about your rules?
Ryder: I know my rules. I can see them right now. They're up top with him right now.
Rocky: Okay, but shouldn't you be watching?
Ryder: Don't need to if Skye's there.
Rubble: What changes that? She's still a girl!
Ryder: Marshall sees Skye as an older sister. Not a girlfriend.
Rubble: Okay… I guess…
(Meanwhile)
Skye: Marshall, I'm sure it wasn't that bad…
Marshall: (laying with his head buried in a pillow, crying) Yes, it was Skye! It was so awkward and embarrassing!
Skye: Hey, you want to know why we had that meeting earlier this year?
Marshall: (Sits up) Why?
Skye: Because Ryder didn't like it when Chase and I would do that kind of stuff.
Marshall: (Goes wide-eyed) Wait?! Y'all did…
Skye: NO! We did stuff like lay on each other's back.
Marshall: Oh…
Skye: (rush his head playfully) Your so dirty-minded!
Marshall: (Playfully) No, I am not!
Skye: Okay, if you say so…
Marshall: (Starts to get upset again) I'm not!
Skye: Okay! You're not dirty-minded. Sorry!
Marshall: It's okay… But what am I going to do about the incident?
Skye: Well, do you like her?
Marshall: *softly* Yes… (Blushes)
Skye: Well then, that's just you guys.
Marshall: What do you mean by "you guys?"
Skye: You will all poke fun at each other and their crushes.
Marshall: Wait, how do they know about Everest and me?
Skye: Really? They all know, well, except for Zuma, but he knows now.
Marshall: Is it really that obvious?
Skye: Yeah… it kinda is… Here, let me show you.
(Skye opens Youtube and finds a video of every obvious moment that Marshall and Everest show affection for one another)
Marshall: Dang… it really is that obvious…
Skye: Yeah… Youtube makes every crush match look obvious… even when it's inaccurate.
Marshall: What do you mean?
Skye: Well, you like Everest, but some people think you and Chase like each other.
Marshall: What?! Show me.
Skye: Okay… (Find a video labeled "Charsall")
Marshall: Oh wow, that's really good evidence, but I don't actually like him like that. But what does "Charsall" mean?
Skye: It's you and Chase's name combined.
Marshall: Oh, so is there an "Evarshall"?
Skye: Yup! And a "Skase", and a "Zumkey."
Marshall: Wait, a "Zumkey?!"
Skye: Yeah, people think Zuma and Rocky like each other.
Marshall: Oh, huh.
Skye: Look, don't tell Everest I said this, but she likes you like really likes you. Now, in a second, she is going to come back up, and you should kiss her.
Marshall: WHAT?!
Skye: Shhhhh… Yes, you heard me. She even said that she was hoping to kiss you today.
Marshall: Woah… but what do I do before?
Skye: That's easy! You just say, "Hey, I've been thinking about this for a while…" and then you just kiss her!
Marshall: That's it?
Skye: Yep! Too easy, right?
Marshall: Okay, but what about Ryder?
Skye: Don't worry, I have that taken care of.
Marshall: Um… okay…
(Skye: Heads toward the elevator)
Marshall: Skye!
(She turns around)
Marshall: Thanks… for everything.
Skye: No problem! Little bro.
Marshall: Grrr… I hate when you do that!
(Skye and Marshall both laugh)
(Skye gets Everest and brings her upstairs)
(In the elevator)
Everest: So, how is he?
Skye: He's good! He wanted to apologize to you.
Everest: Oh, for what?
Skye: I don't know.
Everest: Um… okay.
(The elevator opens, and Marshall is standing there)
Skye: Alright, I am going to go talk to Ryder. Be right back.
Everest: Okay.
(Skye leaves and distracts Ryder)
Everest: Hey Marshall, what's up?
Marshall: Everest, I'm sorry for not talking to you when all you wanted to do was help.
Everest: Oh. That's okay! I know it was embarrassing for you, but boys will be boys. You just kind of have to ignore them sometimes.
Marshall: I know… it was just so awkward, though. I'm also sorry you had to deal with that.
Everest: That's okay! Now, you want to go back down and enjoy the snow?
Marshall: For sure!
Everest: Okay, let's go!
(She runs back to the elevator, and when she gets there, she notices that he isn't right behind her)
Everest: Oh, sorry, Marshall. Kinda forgot you were injured.
Marshall: That's okay. *sighs* Hey, Everest?
Everest: Yeah? What's wrong?
Marshall: It's just… I… um… never mind.
Everest: You sure?
Marshall: No, I was gonna do this… *kisses her*
(Everest stands there in shock)
Marshall: I'm sorry. Was that too soon?
Everest: Um… n-n-no. *Kisses him back*
(Skye notices and silently cheers while still talking to Ryder)
Everest: Now, you ready to go play?
Marshall: I sure am!
