It had been a long summer. Finn went away to some football camp. Only one from Glee Club around was Quinn. Surprisingly we were getting along.

We ran into each other at the library of all places. It was odd seeing Quinn there. But the summer was lonely and talking to her was nice.

I ran over to my phone. That ringtone could only mean it was Finn calling and he must be back from football camp.

"Finn!"

"Hey Ray." It was great to finally hear his voice.

"I have missed you so much Finn. But I kept busy by figuring out what songs we should sing for sectionals and who should sing which parts and.."

"Rach." He interrupted my rant. I have been working on that. But I still can't help who I am sometimes.

"Sorry Finn."

"So Quinn is throwing this BBQ thing at the park by her house. Would you like to go?" Of course she would throw a BBQ for her friends coming home. She was such a different this summer.

"Of Course Finn. As long as you are going. I'll start getting ready. Oh this will be so exciting."

When we arrived we arrived I noticed we were the last ones but I love making my entrance. Though being late isn't my thing.

"I hate being late" I pouted. Finn wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head. Then he took my hand and led me to the party.

"Manhands." I didn't have to look up to know Santana was there.

"Hey Santana."

"So Finn how was football camp?" Santana grabbed Finn by the arm feeling his biceps. I walked away, why bother getting angry when it only upsets Finn.

"Mercedes!" I rushed over to my best girl and hugged her. Her and Kurt were the best people I have. Well besides Finn.

"How was your vacation Rachel?"

"It was okay pretty boring without you guys around. How about you?"

"Just another Jones Family Vacation." She seemed very out of the conversation. Then I caught her stare.

"Really? You and Sam?"

"No I don't know what you mean Rachel." With that Mercedes walked away.

After awhile we all sat around the tables and enjoyed the company. Filling everyone in on what happened over our vacations.

"Quinn, this was a very nice BBQ. And it was so thoughtful of you to get us all together before school starts again."

"It was Brittany's idea and I can't say no to Brit." The look that Quinn had worried me. Then I realized Jesse was walking up to us. I got up to meet him before he ruined the party.

"Jesse. What are you doing here?"

"Well I just wanted to let you know a few things Rachel. It seems Vocal Adrenaline will have Shelby back. And they have Sunshine thanks to you. I knew better then to get back with you. And Shelby has baby Beth. She gets to be the mom she never will be with you."

That's all I could take. This wasn't the first time Jesse had shown up over summer to rub that in my face. I couldn't take it. I ran to Quinn's house next door.

Knock Knock.

I wiped my eyes as I saw Quinn coming in. "Yes Quinn?" I said as I pulled my knees closer to my chest. She crossed the room and placed her hands on top of mine.

"Jesse St Jackass makes another appearance." She stood up and slid between my chest and my legs to sit on my lap.

"Quinn.. What are you doing?" She put her finger to mouth then her lips were on mine.

I didn't pull away until I heard the door slam open.

"What the hell is going on!" Finn burst into the room then punched the wall and left.

I turned to Quinn. "Yeah what the hell is going on Quinn?"
