Rain's not typical for July weather, but there she was, knees sunk deep in the softening ground. The rain falling down masked the tears she didn't dare stop from running down her face. She spoke softly, though no one was around to hear her. She didn't even know why she came here, only that she loved a boy who would never be hers again.

"You know, I know you were in love with her and I haven't meant anything to you in a long time, but I never stopped loving you. I'm not sure I ever will." She paused a smiled embracing the memories she thought were long forgotten. "None of this even matters, and I'm sure that's the thing that hurts me the most. I love you, I love you so much, and all I want is to be able to be in your arms and say you're all mine again. I just wish I was the one that you left your heart to. That was the only thing I ever wanted from you. I just wish it was me you loved instead of her." her smile vanishing as she finally stood. With her heart heavy she said, "If I could do it all over, I would have never hurt you." She pressed her lips gently to her fingertips, passing a kiss to the cold wet stone. "Goodbye, Jace."
