As far as Claire can say, for all things considered, the one fond and unstoppable force in her life that continues on to comfort her in the hardest of times remains being Teresa of the Faint Smile.
She was an amazing woman. Claymore or not, she was the most beautiful person that graced her life. Teresa of the Faint Smile graced Claire's life in the darkest of moments and brought air back into her lifeless existence.
In the whole religious aspect, there was a celestial force known as Michael the warrior archangel. To Claire, whenever she thought of her, she always imagined an archangel to appear similar in Teresa's image. Pristine, daunting and mystifying in her white armor and mighty sword.
There were moments in time where Claire sulked on her own as her wounds healed. Raw wounds and old scars.
She closed her silver eyes. Behind her closed eyes she can still remember in crystal clarity Teresa's handsome chiseled face and the private big smile just for her. Only for her.
The warrior's long, blonde curls swayed with each swift movement-Claire remembered the sleek movements of this warrior swordsmanship skills. She wielded the sword like no other. Thinking of Teresa of the Faint Smile's past battles brought her great comfort and inspiration to draw on. And, she thought, that one day she'll avenge her unfair demise.
There were lost moments where Claire frequently wondered what her life could have been like had Teresa and her managed to run freely away from Yoma, the organization, awaken beings, and the army of Claymore. What could her life have been like if Priscilla had not killed Teresa? These thoughts were always met with unanswered questions and conclusions.
The fleeting happiness-although a single passing thought-was something made of dreams. If only could she go back and save Teresa and give her a chance to live life. Teresa of the Faint Smile was one of the only people in the world Claire truly loved and can sympathize with.
"Live on and strive, Claire," the haunting echo of the Claymore that inspired her to take destiny in her hands. Those were her final words to her before everything ended.
The End.
