Alone

From childhood's hour I have not been

As others were; I have not seen

As others saw; I could not bring

My passions from a common spring.

From the same source I have not taken

My sorrow; I could not awaken

My heart to joy at the same tone;

And all I loved, I loved alone.

Then- in my childhood, in the dawn

Of a most stormy life- was drawn

From every depth of good and ill

The mystery which binds me still:

From the torrent, or the fountain,

From the red cliff of the mountain,

From the sun that round me rolled

In its autumn tint of gold,

From the lightning in the sky

As it passed me flying by,

From the thunder and the storm,

And the cloud that took the form

(When the rest of Heaven was blue)

Of a demon in my view.

(by Edgar Allan Poe)

Alone

When Liam was a child running around the green fields of Ireland he knew his life was set for adventure for what though he may not have known.

From childhood's hour I have not been

As others were; I have not seen

As others saw; I could not bring

My passions from a common spring.

When Liam became a vampire he truley still did not understand even under the womanly embrace of a creature of the night

as his sisters blood seeped form her body he dared not touch.

My passions from a common spring.

From the same source I have not taken

My sorrow; I could not awaken

My heart to joy at the same tone;

And all I loved, I loved alone.

He still didn't understand when he drove Druisilla mad after years of being Angelus. Trying to erase the boy that was once upon time Liam. As Drui muttered stars and evil princesses with skin that taste of the sun.

Then- in my childhood, in the dawn

Of a most stormy life- was drawn

From every depth of good and ill

The mystery which binds me still

As Angelus became Angel fighting along side the slayer. His fate still in the hands of people he didn't know. As love that was not meant to be.

From the torrent, or the fountain,

From the red cliff of the mountain,

From the sun that round me rolled

In its autumn tint of gold,

He knew he had to leave without knowing where he must sit he choose the city of Angels.

From the lightning in the sky

As it passed me flying by,

From the thunder and the storm,

And the cloud that took the form

After the lawfirm ws destroyed Angel realized with a start of his first heart beat he could not erase himself for he was manythings.

(When the rest of Heaven was blue)

Of a demon in my view.
