The wind howled and beat against the brick walls of the Phantomhive winter mansion. A tall Indian man padded quietly through the dark hallway to a large oak door. He turned the knob, and stepped inside. "You called, my Prince?"
A slender figure sat shivering on a canopy bed. "Agni, it's cold!" the boy whined, reaching out for him. The butler crossed the room, and his master latched his arms around his neck, pulling him down onto the bed with him.
"If you're cold I'll stoke the fire." Agni said, glancing over to the fireplace on the opposite wall.
"Mm, I like this better." the prince murmured. Agni sighed, shifting to make him more comfortable. He drew his face against the amethyst hair as Soma leaned his head against the crook of Agni's shoulder. The prince smelled like the flowery soap from his bath earlier. Agni smiled slightly as he remembered the fun they had had...
He could feel Soma's damp breath against his neck. It was snowing harshly outside, but here they were dry and warm together. "Good night, my love." he whispered. The prince was already asleep, but a tiny smile bloomed on his lips.
